@@frixossavva True if your connected to the cat Bluetooth, but if on CarPlay it comes thru the Android unit which isn't great.

Basically all I've done is made sure it turns on etc, was just looking at all the wires I've got for it and couldn't get my head round how I'd use the original speakers in the FL2 when they are asking me to use a aux cable to RCA, In the back of there headunit, don't particularly want to aux / rca cables showing unless there under centre console. @@Bulty94 Hi Ryan sorry for the delayed response, if it is the same unit you should not have to use the rear aux port to connect. Was this suggestion from the seller.

@michaelstanley3961 thanks again for all your help, I decided to order another unit but from Amazon, and it arrived with an entirely different canbus iso that linked with the green iso cables on the lower section of the main Freelander 2 head unit and now I have a fully functional android headunit. I would advise anyone that is looking at these units to check the canbus iso before installing.

@@genexxa357 Sorry but unsure. I think the current amp is built into the radio consul that any aftermarket unit connects into via the harness connections but I never looked into it. Sorry I can't be more helpful

Excellent, just a heads up, sometimes you will get the error message again, with some clicking from the passenger footwell, its the relay. Just be patient and remove the fob and re insert until the message says "key docked" and then she will start. It doesn't happen very often but be prepared so you don't get upset lol..

Unfortunately not, it needs an original key to give permission for the programming, my thoughts would be is that you will have to go to a dealer and they can program a key by vin no. Sorry, hope you find them..

If it's the old evoke, then it's a freelancer with a different lid. You need to remove the lower steering column case and see if it's the same Volvo unit. I think you will find it is. Land Rover /Ford used so many of the same parts across the early models. Mike

Unsure but if you have video feeds which can be connected to video audio out cables probably have to get a splitter should be able to play media files on all 3 screens but never tried it. Good luck.

The wiring is optical. The shunt / adapter does the job. Basically send the optical signal back as if it was still connected.

I've checked the wiring diagram and can't see a bare black wire. Does it have an id tag. If so what's the code please. Mike

Should turn off when you turn off and pull out the fob. There is about a 5 sec delay Mike

Out from behind the top speaker cover, but here is Spain because the Sun cooks the top it's the wrong place, phone charged ok but was cooking in the Sun 😞

@@michaelstanley3961 ah I see. Unfortunate, phone probably gets into “too hot” mode then. Btw, I was able to install mine thanks to your video! I do wish the plastic was better quality though. Like the hazards and fan hole. Were you able to get your next/previous track steering wheel buttons to control the unit? Only my volume buttons work.

@@jacob634 no only volume, it's because the land rover system is optical so now can do, the volume only works because we piggy back the aux system

@@jacob634 I asked them and an Indian company, both told me to basically sod off and sort it out myself, you can buy a module, but not worth it in my opinion but each to there own.lol enjoy

Just check. The 12v that powers the camera comes from the 12v revering light circuit🥸

Check the earth first. There are no settings to change. And check the trigger wire connection and the video connection first.

Just thought my earth is also on the reversing light circuit. Hope that's the answer

Far better control on the system. Using Apple CarPlay also automatically dims. The unit is far superior to the Xtrons, speed, ease of use and screen size, really brings the interior to life again.

The radio aerial connector is removed from the OEM radio and fitted to the android unit. Mike

The cables are connected to the Sat Nav unit under the passenger seat, there are none behind the head.

Yes. You will need a shunt on the connections that were for the old sat nav unit. I had fitted one when I fitted the Xtrons unit before. Mike

Hi. I did connect to the mic which I put in the top speaker cover. And the phone still connects to the BT on the FREELANDER. Just about to post how the Apple CarPlay works so look out for that one. Mike

Hi, I built the area up with a hot glue gun and used self tapper screws works fine. Hope that helps

Hi. Bought the unit from AliExpress from the NAVIFANS store. The unit was a TS10 4g Ram 32g ROM. No lag locks onto CarPlay very quickly and lots of options in menu's. Also customer service very responsive. Enjoy

@@jacob634 microphone works fine. Fitted into to speaker cover and it still connects to the standard Bluetooth. Depends which one you answer it on.
