I live in a very hot climate. Will this unit shut off due to overheating from the sun?

Does anyone have experience with quad lock on this kit? I think de mirror mount would work great on the bar were the GPS mount goes

Just finished my installation. Followed the video step by step. It all went very smoothly. The fit and finish is fantastic. Made it a very easy job. The kit is extremely well thought out.

I would love to fit a rade garage fairing and tower on a 701 SM euro 2021+. (yes, for street use, I have a kink, don't shame me). Is it possible to avoid using the bar riser because without hitting the fairings with the bar ?

Can this kit be used with the Acerbis 4 Gallon fuel tank?

For any average hacks like me, this job took me something like 7 or 8 hours. I took my time, watched this video probably 12 times in total, labeled all my wires as I was disconnecting them, triple checked all my work, and then there were several things that were necessary that are not covered in the video. Of note: 1. If you are using the plastic OEM ignition/key cover, you will have to cut it so that the forward surface of the cover lays flat on the R/G upper tower clamp. 2. If you’re in North America, R/G does not send you a KTM USB T-connector to connect the loom to their port, but rather just two loose male spade connectors. It works, but at $1700, the kit should come with a proper USB T-connector that fits the machine. North American bikes come with this female USB in the loom from the factory, just no USB plug. 3. The quality of the USB charging port is bad. Again, for a kit this price, it should include a proper burly waterproof charging port, and in 2024 as I write this, it should be USB-C. 4. This kit makes the seat rather difficult to put on, as the seat itself is what holds the rearward part of the fairing in place. Just a note of something to expect.

Installed this a month ago and like the setup... have run into one issue. I was running with the petcock always open which allows the aux tank to continuously drain as you ride. This works well but I discovered that if you have a fairly full tank and you leave the bike in the sun it will warm up the main tank which will push fuel into the aux tank causing it to vent gas. It seems like there should be a vent connection between the tanks.

It seems like a bad option to attach a crankcase protector to the crankcase.

Some call this a rade garage airbox, its not an airbox its an open air filter with no box. Like we used to run in the 70's. I do like idea of the storage, not committed yet on the air filter part.....dont want more noise................the stock airbox IS a big part of tuning on any bike.

Lot of feedback of this tank boiling fuel with the included heat shield... I picked up a thicker and larger blanket that extends up both sides, hoping it will keep the heat better controlled.

Does anyone (amongst the viewers) have any experience of this ? The fact that it’s made in Portugal puts me off ! (The Portuguese are nice people, but pretty shit with technology!) (in my experience)

Great video, I have a question, on my KTM 890 I have an ARN Rally roadbook navigation control fitted, with the original lever it barely touches when I operate the lever, in this one I see a reinforcement machined part right in the area where the control is located, have you been able to check if there will be any problem for those of us who use the navigation controls? I have this on my 2020 790 adv R. I love the looks but the vibrations from wind buffeting at 70km/h and above is not good. Using Bell MX-9 helmet. Anyone sorted buffeting issues with this combination?

Do you cross connect from the RH side lower OEM tank sump to the auxiliary tank or just the LH side?

With the washer you installed between the two clamps as a compression limiter. After installation is complete. Is there supposed to be play between the clamp and the neck of the frame?? Great video on how to install the kit. It took me more than an afternoon to install but maybe I'm too careful to to make any mistakes. The only extra work I had to do was to grind a bit in the corners for the hole for the ABS-switch. For my KTM 690 enduro 2024 there is a USB-connector, this was not in the video but I figured out that anyways. The top carbon cover of the the tower has thinner wall thicknesss than the mask therefore the USB-connector is a bit loose in it's hole. I had som problem fitting all the cables, that took some time to figure out. Great product!
