well that's S2000 snap oversteer for you. That slide looked just about impossible to recover in my opinion. I have experienced this in my Fiero (with myself behind the wheel) and I had a crash that did some significant damage. It's fixed up now but not a good day by any means

Any track you go to just don't listen to your instructor. Talk with the corner workers and stewards theres a ton of experience there

Outside of a few early apexes and some crabbing in i think you were doing well. #1 rule from my first instructor Danny sullivan in 1980 is Don't try to hard sometimes you need to slow down to go faster

So it was your 1st track day as stated. I'm trying to figure out why you were driving solo. You would be considered a novice being your 1st track day and I believe most track groups would require you to have an instructor. Can you explain why you didn't?

I once had an instructor that had 5 track days under his belt. I figured he must have been a prodigy or something, but it turns out some orgs just don't ask for much out of an instructor. Definitely something to be cautious about.

Dang this sucked, sorry man. Even thought it was 2 years ago, but lowkey you could have still drove for the weekend lol. I would have just taken the rear bumper off.

Sucks to see this. Instructor should not be driving your car at the limit like that in my opinion. He doesn't need to go 10/10. He definitely could've let off the throttle earlier as soon as he felt it slipping. He knew it too after the crash.

Unfortunately, the term "instructor' is extremely loose in the hpde/track day world. Too often I see the blind leading the blind. If this guy is supposed to have been setting an example for you, he should not sending your car over kerbs, over a crest, on throttle. Just that short clip is enough to tell me he is operating way above what he is capable of. Sorry for your car getting shunted. Be extremely wary of anyone driving your car. If the person that is supposed to be instructing you cannot be talking the whole time and explaining what they are doing, they do not have the capacity to instruct and driving too quickly.

I know I'm late to this party, but what group allows you out solo on your first track day? And these instructors that you're riding with look like terrible drivers. You need to find a better org to ride with, just saying from experience. This looks like a bunch of hyped up wannabes out there - looks dangerous, and sure enough they wrecked your car..

I also have a bom A-Spec RSX-S. Been a bit over 10 years never winter driven with well over 340000km. I have owned over 7 RSXs but the bom colour 05-06 are my favorites. I'm getting my 23' Si same colour as well. And yes the RSX stays. Long live the BOM!

Too clean for a track car lol. S2khack - Wrap a rubber band around the shifter under the boot to keep it level with the bottom of the shift knob.

Oh also. Just because no one ever speaks about these cars but I’ve had 2 so far would buy a low mileage one quick. The 05 06 Acura RL. I daily drive the first one up 71 triple digits most of the 150k miles I put on it. AWD-SH also no slouch stock 300 hp mad torque after slight mods. 4 piston Brembos stock. I love that it doesn’t have a key ya have to dig out of ur pocket. Grab the handle Auto Unlock not push to start but just a quick flip of the wrist and the “R” killer is alive. The key on that car is a wider 275 on it lower profile then stock. Literally I feel if one was to strip out all the airbags and cut the multiple mufflers first I bet that’s 1000#. Money in the bank if someone wanted a cheap daily you could set up for anything really. Oh did I mention paddle shift n rides like a tight Caddy. If your S2K gets in your way one of these days let me know. Me n my boy may have matching rides. He gets my 95 del Sol Si. Love your car. Hope this was with reading.

Damn…that sucks. You took it well and kudos to you. I instruct and this is inexcusable. First, the instructor looked like a total amateur trying to catch the slide. Second, instructors need to be patient and find a way to instruct people without driving a student’s car. As an instructor for 10 years, I’ve only driven a student’s car twice. Once because he begged me all weekend. The other was at COTA and wasn’t sure if there was an issue with the car or if it was the driver. I drove extremely cautious both times. Didn’t enjoy it at all.
