    Cool lizard. I didn’t t realize they were so smart or could show affection. Neat. The ones around here are only about 6 inches and have blue tails. When I was very little I would catch lizards with my hands and put them on my arm because their little feet felt neat on my arm. If you’re wondering yes, I did grab one by the tail and found out about detachable tails.

    What's the best way to just unplug the recirculation door actuator?? I recently removed the broken recirculation door gear from the blower motor and fixed the really loud noise problem. I left the recirculation door as it was and put everything back together. I now have a faint buzzing noise that is present for the first few minutes of starting the truck and again after I turn off the truck. I think this is the recirculation door actuator that is still trying to open/close the recirculation door. Assuming so, I want to unplug the recirculation door actuator. Wondering what the easiest way is to get access to the actuator to just unplug it. Thanks!

    • @thailey3
      @thailey3 8 місяців тому

      I figured it out. The buzzing noise was the recirculation door actuator that was continuing to turn. I was able to unplug it by just reaching up from the bottom (next to the blower motor) with my left arm. To unplug it, you have to first pull out the red tang, then depress the flange on the connector with one finger, then pull out the connector. After unplugging, no more buzzing sounds! Note, I also took off the small side panel between the glove box/air bag and the passenger door so I could see what I was doing back there. Hope this helps someone.

    Most lawnmowers these days are li-ion,including mine. I was hoping your video would talk about that. I have two batteries,one the original from July 17,which now runs 15 minutes or so,and a newer one,bought in 2019,which runs the normal time of about one hour.

    I'd add that many older or abused 12v SLA and lead acid batteries can really benefit from a desulfator. This comes as part of some premium battery chargers, but I've had good luck with the simple unbranded units that you connect between your battery terminals in addition to a dedicated charge. Example: www.ebay.com/itm/Auto-Pulse-12v-to-48v-Battery-Desulfator-for-GEL-Boats-Golf-Cars-and-Trucks/281872297166

  • @josephbohme7917
    @josephbohme7917 8 років тому

    Well that is a waste of direction- #1 remove plastic top plate of each battery (razor the groove circumference) 1/16" thick, then being careful bend up a section with fine flat edge @ Butter knife- check voltage on each cell by itself and mark them 1, 2, 3 from the open end. #2 Put a data card on the outside of the case, date and corresponding ref. battery # which you tagged. the start voltage reading -and the resulting voltage when completed after filling & charging each with a 1. amp 12-14v utility or better charger. try not to use more than a 10% of capacity amperage. 10ah battery is 1 amp. 2 only for a low voltage old <11 battery. and short 10 minute period until it can be boosted to 12 then 1 amp. then on. #3 Before Any RENEWAL charging-Only then pull off the 6 rubber cell caps per battery and top with syringe/micro tube of distilled water stopping just at level 1/4" below top, clearing surfaces inside. wait 10 minutes, water gets absorbed by cell mats, and again top. If you charge low water batteries you fry them- duh- Do not listen to his too simple procedure. These acid batteries deplete/evapoate by design about 20% per year minimum. Freezing and long storage are bad without bringing them to 13.4v. Many will not charge after mowing and the depleted state cause them to sulfate/oxidize). These are like ant car battery of the 60's water when low. Charge as used but keep the stored battery >12.7 or it will lose its lifespan. If ideally done you can get >7 yrs easy. But you have to disaasemble the 3 periodically @ each 6-9 mos, annually minimum if you care.

    Hell yes! I love yours. I built mine with a Broan 15" gable fan and some 18" insulated flex ducting I got for free from my coworker. I used a 14x20 return box fitted with an ovaled 18" starting collar. And the other end is mounted to the 15" fan with a 18x16 reducer and some spacing foam I made to fit the 15" fan. Then used aluminum tape to seal the ducting/spacer gaps. I have no valves to close off the flow path when not in use, but I will be fabbing something to close it off. I've found the return air grilles at HD to be way too restrictive for the 18" oval duct. The whistling from the grille will drive me nuts. So far it's a success. It looks like I could use 3000cfm or more. So maybe I'll add another 3000cfm to compliment the 1500 cfm Broan.

      Mr. McCabe Before you modded the motor do you remember which way the prop turned or which motor did you mod? If facing the plane upright, the left or right motor? Also do I have to solder or can I just cut the wires and splice together then tape up with electrical tape?
