Very passionate person who clearly loves what he does and put a very clear view of what goes on
Je ne comprends pas pourquoi les pompiers américains envoient un camion d’incendie sur une urgence médicale alors qu’une ambulance avec 2 ou 3 pompiers dedans suffisent largement.
Does fighting a fire give cancer?
Something I’m curious about is how you fit in time to take showers and stuff during the shift. You can’t just assume that you’ll have an hour of free time and then respond to a call when you’re in the shower 😂
Working as a firefighter, I’ve learned how to rinse, wash & rinse again super quick lol, I have a certain way I place my towel and clothes so if tones do drop I’m able to dry quick and throw my clothes on
Absolutely beautiful station and rigs. Awesome content. I start my fire academy in August!
It’s trippy seeing our Southern California Phenix helmets with face shields.
Thank you for your service
Just finished an EMT highschool program/competition thing and now I finally have a hint of understanding as to what these heroes do
adamm
Never realized you could be a firefighter AND an emt but it makes sense… thank you for all that you do
Сухих рукавов ребята. Привет из России
Awesome!!
Is this 15 minutes of you napping?
Bro! Please tell me, I'm from Russia and everything is bad with firefighter's clothes, do you have any familiar resellers who supply to Russia
How long are firefigters shifts in USA?
24-48 hours, you could technically work more for overtime buts that’s the usual shifts that I’ve learned in research in hopes to be one here in the US
@@shoto42 Interesting, here in Slovenia, the Russian shift is used -> work is done for 12 hours, then 24 hours of rest, followed by 12 hours of work at night, and then 48 hours of rest.
So you don’t waste your time watching this………nothing happen
Sorry you’re sad and hate yourself.
@@FDNYNYPD91101 lol
Those are some god awful helmets you guys gotta get yourselves some actual FF helmets
Why would fire trucks want to report for medical emergencies?
Quick response, additional manpower for serious calls. A lot of places ambulances are tapped out or delayed so they maintain pt care.
Don’t that town have real paramedics?
I want to be a fire fighter I'm 33 no degree or expierence how do I get in?
Start in wildland ( type 6 or 3 crew) if you want to get in. Work on your emt as soon as you can and just meet all the guys.
Sgt J Vance here what’s up Sebastian 🤙🏼 been a few years. Keep up the good work big dog.
The 1st arriving Engine Co. needs to report on the scene with smoke showing on a large home improvement building and investigate. You don't comit to an interior fire attack. You investigate as you tie in to the FDC. You check it out and then make your follow-up message to Command. Chief Hughes Battalion 1 (retired) Chicago FD
One of the fire trucks has to be green and yellow. 🦆
Thank you for your service! 👨🚒
LOLd at the mandatory birks in the gym 🤣This is an awesome DITL video you guys. Thanks for taking the time to film the process. Mad respect!

This was a great way to inform others as well as to help them to not be scared when they are panicking during a crisis and you show up in the gear, great job and thanks for your service ☺️
Hey Sebastien ! I’m 23 years old and stuck on trying to find a career. What I do know is I enjoy helping people and like something a little different everyday that keeps you busy. I was wondering what the requirements are to becoming a firefighter/emt ? Any information is greatly appreciated !
Go to your local fire station and ask for some guidance. They will get you pointed in the right direction. This is a great time to get into the fire service. Some departments will bring you on with no past experience and pay for your fire and emt cards. Most require fire 1 and 2 cards along with emt. Get with some of the local guys and they will tell you which academy to apply to. Most firefighters are glad to help someone just beginning their path
What’s happens if you guys get a fire call while responding to medical calls? And they need that fire truck there
They reroute it to another fire station if they are on a call. Dispatch usually has the information so they don’t call the rig that’s on a call they just reroute the fire call to another station.
Great idea. More states should look into this if not already.
is there a designated driver for the truck or is it just anyone?
The engineer is the one who drives it, and you have to go through soecial training to become an engineer, also if you want to get promoted to lieutenant or captain in the future you first have to become an engineer(firetruck driver)
makes sense , thank you :D @@corvusxephan6484

What is this comment?
is there a difference between firefighter paramedics and just normal firefighters? like they are both working together on most calls but for the medical ones they lead?
The paramedic firefighters have advanced care level certifications while the regular firefighters which are EMT/firefighters have basic level certifications so usually the paramedic firefighter takes the lead on medical calls.
Great video!! But make sure that stair chair track ramp is locked before leaning the patient back. It clicked in place the first step so no harm no foul. Love the video and stuff you're doing!
Great video, Thank you so much for sharing !
Always interesting to see the amount of medical calls the fire engine is dispatched to. Here in Europe fire engine only runs as first responder if no ambulance is available.
I wish this custom never lands on this side of the big pond.
it is usually because the engine often gets there before the ambulance, due to more engines and more fire stations in the city, and as more and more engines are ALS they can first respond to just about anything.
@@EpicGames28 In my country - Czech republic. If ambulance cant get to the scene quickly, police gets dispatched since they are trained as first responders.
It depends. In Munich there is always an engine dispatched for certain medical calls.
I’m my district, an engine goes to every call unless there isn’t one available
I lived in Eugene back in the early 70s. I remember so many times driving or walking by the Station on w7th. At that time housed a Mack tillered ladder truck. I thought how cool that would be. Starting 1981 I started a 30 year career w a Dept in So Cal. Was an Engineer for 20. Tillered many a ladder truck. Best job in the world. Good luck Eugene Springfield.
I wanna see the insides like the jokes or the person giving the orders inside not the typical
Sending a fire truck for chest pains, abdo pain, and a dog bite just seems so crazy to me. At my service they come for unconscious, VSA, or MVC's but not typical medical calls.
Some of these pains could be a underlying factor for something very big
@@victorrangel8283exactly
It does but it all depends on if the FD has an ambulance.
Great video! Unfortunately I wasn’t able to do firefighter because of my hearing :/
Can we get his number he’s coo cute

That's a great gym for a fire station I'm jealous ❤
Really great video! Would love to see more of these
Do FF/Medics for the ESFD do rotations on the ambulance?
yes
