I post clips that I find interesting.
Dinner For Five - Ben Affleck, Kevin Smith, Jennifer Garner, Colin Farrell
For educational purposes only. I do not own this footage.
'Dinner For Five' was a great television program that premiered on IFC in the early 2000's. Host Jon Favreau would sit down for dinner and conversation with four film industry guests.
The show is not streaming anywhere, but does have a physical media release - an out of print DVD. A few episodes were uploaded to UA-cam a few years ago, but were taken down. Here's hoping this one stays up because this show was a gem and a treat to listen to.

Thank you
Stay away from Cheezy! Lol. Good show, too bad it wasn't longer.
Jennifer ruined Kevin Smith’s friendship with Ben Affleck for 20 years is crazy I’m glad they’re friends again
I'm just now seeing this, and you can clearly see j. Garner smitten and charmed by ben. Ben is there for what he's supposed to be there for, but jen went for him, lol. Jlo probably went back to view this clip and learned Jen G. went fishing for a specific fish that day, lol.
dinner for five was goated
Ben you're a dummy!! That woman is a blessing!! That's all class in a woman right there. I hate brunettes and I still think Ben is a dummy for screwing this up!!!
Kevin was on top of the world at this time!! You can see it in his delivery. He's not this arrogant nowadays!!!
Four guys sitting around and smoking, and the one guy's girl who is in the circle but on the outside... She will love him to the ends of the Earth, always make him a better man if she can, but damn does she hate his friends.
I wish he made fantastic beasts
He was actually offered the job. But he turned it down
the irony of that kevin star wars rumor and j.j sitting right there
Excellent material. Away pf ego.
5:30
She actually doesn’t belong sitting in that table with all those men being men I truly say I would totally be out of place
For a revered writer and producer, kevin smith is kinda bad at telling stories.
Kevin smith was a bit cocky. Too much considering who the relevant name is decades later.
Garner just gawks and laugh with ben. She is flirtinng with him and he is with jlo. They deserve each other.
At least your face is back
That hotel room will always be frozen in time. Whenever you watch this, you’ll remember all of the heartache or heartjoy you have, or haven’t, ever felt. When he starts walking towards the balcony, towards a naked Natalie Portman, in slow motion with the most beautiful music you have ever heard, your heart will swell and hug your throat, your eyes will water, and you’ll feel what movies have always supposed to make you feel. Alive.
I literally remember watching this episode originally. "You should only get CANCER!" Smith talking about the Favreau "Annual Show". This was one of the eps I'd loved to have had on DVD forever...
AND, and... everyone is smoking away except Jen. I so wanted to her to have a West Virginia flashback and just light up a cig for a couple of mins.
You can tell Garner just really did not want to be there lol.
Stan should not have been in the room with the doofus Kevin S. As for the rest who cares?
Stan and Kev were friends. Check out “Stan Lee’s Mutans Monsters and Marvels”
9:07 power rangers fandom coming for affleck
He loves talking about himself, and cutting out other people from his stories. Roger Avary wrote Open Road originally.
Jennifer was snotty to Colin.
How dated is this they are smoking , making fun of each other by calling each other gay, lol
Episode aired Jan 20, 2003
Imagine if he got his hands on Goblet of Fire
He was offered the job. But he turned it down because he would've had to begin pre-production on that film while he was still doing post-production on Prisoner Of Azkaban
@@superjackster0165Too bad they were very impatient, if they had been more patient Alfonso would have dedicated more time to more subsequent Harry Potter films, I would have liked him to direct Fantastic Beasts and not David Yates.
@@FernandoAlvarez-hz6hb to be fair they probably run a fairly tight schedule to get the films out on time.
Dinner(?) for five? I saw her eat a salad, and the guys just smoked and drank. She did not fit in this group at all ha ha 😎
She’s the only woman at the table and there seems to be a lot of male energy.
Thank you.
I really like all the work you did and I really enjoyed you as a Director. Are you a friends with the other directors?
That’s a conversation
16:13
3 people out the 5 are smokers in the table.
This is were JG flirting w/Ben Affleck ,so she’s no Saint like everybody is saying
Agree! very noticeable.
Exactly she is no saint
Totally agree. She always claims to be so innocent when she has acted just like some other actresses.
Kevin, Joe and Ben should have been the only ones at the dinner. They totally ignored Jennifer and Colin.
back then if you would have said one of the people at this table will revitalize Star Wars and Marvel... nobody would have bet on Favreau
Kevin Smith is so great at doing this. They have taken all but these two 'dinner for five' shows off UA-cam. Mark here in Australia 🇦🇺 and Kevin you would be a perfect host on a show like this over here. You are a free spirit, honest, genuine, and you say what you think. Australians love that type of talent. Visit sometime.
At 21:05 is when Ms Garner fell for Mr affleck.😂😂
She was literally fatning over him before that talking about beating up Kevin for his comments etc.
smoking at the table? all to cool for school
The three main jerks only look at and address each other. Colin and Jennifer try to get remarks in edgewise, but the three important people mostly exclude them. God they're such assholes.
These people are all outing themselves as jerks.
Ben affleck: who the fuck is amy joe johnson? Most of the gen X power ranger crush 🤦🏻♂️
She just seems so fake. I don't believe anyone thought she was Kate Beckinsale, I do believe she was mistaken for Amy Joe Johnson because they have similar faces but if we're talking bodies I don't see anyone mistaking Garner for anyone but herself.
Also Jennifer worked with Amy Jo Johnson on Felicity.
The braintrust of middle school. Watch jennifer hate them all
The whole thing is terribly boring (someone in comments here described it well as a 'trash-talk contest'), EXCEPT one thing. I actually remember seeing it when it first came out. Ben Affleck was at the time famously engaged to Jennifer Lopez (you couldn't miss it if you wanted to, because you'd be informed from the front pages at the supermarket check out), and I remember being shocked how Jennifer Garner was openly, out-of-her-mind flirting with a taken man. You'd have to be blind (or a man) to miss those adoring gazes and those desperate attempts to grab his attention. The worst kind of girl, I thought, playing ever-so sweet and vulnerable while ruthlessly trying to break up someone else's relationship. And sure enough; he was soon dumping Jennifer L. - virtually at the altar! - and getting on with Jennifer G. Two decades and three kids later, he's divorced from Jennifer G and back with the love of his life: Jennifer L. Don't ever be ruthless, greedy, desperate. You do have your own riches, your own soul-mate(s), your own happiness and your own path. You just have to find and follow it. No need to steal, only to end up years later 'with a hand in a potty' (old Polish proverb, still from the times of potties by the bed, signifying acting unconsciously or automatically i.e. asleep).
Who cares?
Snake in the grass that one.
Love of his life? She's trash.
Agreed.
Finally somebody in touch with reality. Thank you for the truth.
Can all the episodes of this show be found somewhere online? I loved this show.
Spirit of the book - "who knows what that is?" Lol 😂😂
Look how cocky Kevin smith is to Jon favreau. Where you at now Kevin compared to Jon.
They're just messing around with each other. They're having fun.
They have their own thing. Kevin Smith couldn't direct Favreau's movies, but Favreau's voice will never have a voice as unique as Smith's.
I am just at the beginning...what an uncomfortable dinner, these guys seem horrible with their swearing and stuff
exactly, why do they all swear so much?
Oh no, curse words...
The best HP director ever. Chris was good for 1 & 2 but Alfonso should have directed the rest of the film.
Agreed. Chris was the right guy to be directing them as children so to introduce them proper into the industry. Alfonso did great with poa and he defo would have done a marvellous job at giving the franchise the direction it needed.
I always thought this one was the best directed. I read all the books.
This show should of been called "When I was making Swingers"
This was an enjoyable show One of them should try to start it up again
Maybe a podcast...
I agree. George from Seinfeld is building up to it. He is doing a podcast with another fellow, so he would be a guy who knows the current crowd. Round table also is trying a similar thing to this one.
