just here to comment that almost any shallow mount 8" sub can be fitted into the stock JBL sub box.. mine took a little cursing and a few minor mods, but now i have a skar 8" sub in the box, with some material to knock the internal volume down to .4 cu feet. also, i removed all of the factory comps, and replaced with speaker adapters, 2 amps, and all 4 doors have 6.5" and a 10" android screen.. did it all for under a $1200 i wasnt going to be satisfied relying on the factory amp and just upgrading the speakers

I ran into a small issue. Ordered everything to do install myself. Everything was easy until I got to back speakers. The speaker adapters for back speakers on a 2020 Tacoma are way different then what I see in every Tacoma speaker upgrade I’ve seen on UA-cam. Please help.

there is no right or wrong way to set that up😀. just use your ears👍👍,but if you most know set your sweep at 12 oclock and your wide to max...but again there is no right or wrong way.

Skar Audio has loaded 6.5subs in a ported box…you can add 2 of them and the RP350.1 amp (very small amp)
Bro which of the RCA outputs did you use? Front? Rear or Sub?
I tapped into the front door speakers. I recommend that since those are the bigger speakers receiving more voltage.

What size amp wire for the rockford p300-8 are you running ? Also what size inline fuse do you have on the sub power wire??
Every time I’ve changed the factory speakers they never sound right without adding amplifiers and a DSP.
Great info. Going with 275/65/18 with a zero offset wheel. Do not want to cut up my truck and want zero rubbing issues. Seems like 285 on up runs into the rubbing issues.

Great info 👍 this is exactly what I was looking for on the tire dimensions. But I also wanted to know what's your opinion on comfort and ride quality since you did the spacer? I'm thinking about doing the same and possibly using a diff drop so there can be less stress on the axles. Let ne know.
Generally speaking, the sport version has a stiffer ride and the spacers did not help. I’m planning on upgrading and getting a lift suspension kit to have a smoother ride.
Truck looks amazing. I have a stock 21 TRD Off-Road. It has 275/70R16s. I plan to put the TRD lift (2 inch front and 1 inch rear). Can I step up to the 17 inch 275/70R17?
If you go forward with that lift kit factory installed, I would recommend you research what people near you are paying and call around to different dealerships for labor bids. Two dealerships in the same city quoted me $800 difference.
Yes, I have a 2/1 level kit. I run 33x12.5 with no issues, very minor trimming

what fuse amp did you use for the. epicenter ? 10a, 20a, 30a, 40A ??? did you use a 2 way distribution ? or 1 direct for the amp and one direct for the epicenter? thanks in advance
