These have included: Adrian 'reiki' Allen Alex 'who' Thomas Alison 'Ding Dong' Bell Anthony 'H' Davis Bill 'prissy' Buckley Bob 'clives old producer' Johnson Becky 'fake' Walsh Andrew 'Tory' Pierce Carol 'thailand binge' McGiffi...

35 years of LBC Radio Jingles
Переглядів 46 тис.16 років тому
To celebrate 35 years of LBC, take a look back at some of the jingles used over the 35 years from the London Broadcasting Company to London's Biggest Conversation. 1973 - 2008. 1973 - where it all starts: "This is London Broadcasting, the news and information voice of independent radio". 1974 brought the famous Jeff Wayne jingles, with the distinctive "LBC" trio of notes, where 'News Come First...

Love LBC here in BC Canada 🇨🇦 I tune in live at home and work. 🥂
The 2003 to 2007 jingles bring back a lot of memories, the 2003 jingles are my favourite. Though I was a child then I used to tune into LBC a lot because I liked hearing how passionate some debates could get. Today I still love LBC as it's great to hear everyone's view on current affairs and not just politicians views.
6:30 When I started listening :)
Wow, this advert pops into my brain every now and again, but I have no idea why! Takes me back to happy times listening to Capital Radio. Never thought to look for it on UA-cam till today...and there it was...the things you can find! The funny thing is, when I eventually went up to Petticoat Lane and saw the Hounsditch Warehouse for myself when I was about 16, I wasn't as impressed with it as I'd always thought I would be! 😆
1:45 3:50
The good old days.
Does anyone remember the music used by Clive Bull on his evening phone in in the 2000's that would be used as an outro to the news. I know it was from the Dewolfe library and it was called (I think) futuremix. I have checked Dewolfe but my memory is not that good. I do though remember a lot listeners asking about Clive and he always said that it was not commercially available, thus the info about Dewolfe. Thanks for any help you can all offer.
I remember this from my crystal radio days - a radio that worked without batteries - NO BATTERIES! It got the energy to drive the earpiece from the radio signal. Think there was a 'Big red building on petticoat lane' advert too.
Yes! I remember the "Big red building on Petticoat Lane" one too! The things that stick in your memory for absolutely no reason...🤷♂️😁
J O B by name J O B by nature Piece of shite
You looove Steve Allen
Miss Steve Allen
1984 for me 1:43
A rude, vile man
"... for being a tool." End of title.
And Steve Allen has been there from the beginning and is still on the air to this day. He’s doing 7am to 10am on Christmas Day for example (2021).
He joined in 1979.
Gone now sadly.
I have a great memory for all of those fine tunes, without a doubt, 1986/7 period was best remembered for the David Arnold/Mike Moran arrangements, such a classic soundtrack, enjoyed the traffic loop.
And Capital - never once listened to LBC in my life.
I remember another LBC radio ad that time (79-80?) that had Ronnie Barker doing a spiv imitation along the lines of " Dubai "... " what you selling "...
I remember this advert so well and during the instrumental part, they plugged the fact that the Hounsditch Warehouse opened on Sundays from 9.30am - 1:30pm. As a Jewish concern, it was exempt from the Sunday Trading Law because it closed on Saturdays instead. The Harrods advert I remember was for the 'Way In' fashion department within the store.
I thought about this advert today and still remembered the tune and words. Bought lava lamp there in the 70s
Wait, LBC EXISTS?!?!?!
Still a great station and the current lead up to the news jingle is excellent...
Ugly fucker isn't he.....definatly got the face for Radio 🤣👍🏽
He’s massively out of order here.
Ahh Brilliant. What memories!! Don't suppose you can get hold of the follow-up advert "Have you been to the Houndsditch yet?"
45 years now !
And the ads .... The brick red building on Petticoat Lane ...... Barrats, Barrats, come to Barrats, Barrats Liquor Mart, yeah-h-h ...... 961 5 thousand (George Formby voice) .....
He's a diry looking perv look at them eyes. Pure evil. This man I hate he looks like a bolding kiddie nonce. How did he get a job on radio
Alex Lowe genius !!!
haha yes mr B
2005 & 2006 YES!
He’s a keyboard bully, the man is a gutless prick, he wouldn’t in a million years talk to a person like that in the street or local as he would most likely have more than an apology to make but a trip to casualty. He is a week spineless public schoolboy who has had one too many paddles to the bot by the Headmaster and seeks revenge on mostly women oddly enough on his show. I bet his Mother is so disappointed in him.
paid rat
Wonder what his opinion of PCSO's in schools is now...
hahahaha...
I miss that station. Crown House 72 Hammersmith Road. That building has had a face lift on recent visit.
I didn't believe I could hate someone, anyone more than I do London Mayor Sadiq Khan, but I hate this fucking O'Brien more than anything or anyone in the world.
O'Brien, the Muslim apologist. Maybe this twat can highlight the plight of this young white British girl. The British Main Stream Media do not want to touch the sad story of this white girl and what she suffered in an unprovoked attack by a gang of MUSLIMS!! And The MUSLIM police do not want to even investigate this attempted MURDER!!! JUSTICE FOR NIKKI ua-cam.com/video/t2tKhN2uV6I/v-deo.html REPLY
Privileged prat.
im surprised he didnt mention 'racism' ....i play how long it will be before he says ''racist'' ive got it down to 38 seconds on his shit lbc show...
Without doubt 1974 - 1984 was the classic era with the unforgettable three note crescendo. Ba baa baaaaa!
He wouldn't do that these days because he has an army of SJWs guarding him from criticism.
L.B.C. never split like Capital did?
When was the first I.R.N. Bulletin?
If I remember correctly, IRN started when LBC did and they provided the service to all independent local radio stations across the UK, in the same way that ITN did for ITV. At night, when LBC wasn't running a programme, they fed the news bulletins on the hour and half hour, but in between there was just a carrier signal to keep the line open.
Can't stand him most of the time, but, he did apologise so I give him a thimble full of respect for that.
What an asshole
O'brien is symbolic of everything rotten in the UK.
A Grade A knob
Why is this guy on the radio? He's a fuckin condescending scumbag!
What a sanctimonious arrogant twat.
Thank you: such a fond memory off Capital Radio in its early days. Life was more relaxed then.
Most of them are pretty good and they bring back memories of the entertaining talk station. My favourite is the 2008 one. It was so good it lasted for 6 years. I can't stand the latest one (2014 - Leading Britain's Conversation). It often makes me reach for the off button.
pure ignorant cuntishness....
