-A common experience with clinical hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation that makes hard things seem “more palatable.”
-An explanation of strategic psychotherapy to address anxiety and trauma
-How clinical hypnotherapy and strategic psychotherapy are complementary modalities
-Abby’s ideas about how these modalities can be helpful to people with perinatal mental health difficulties
-Hypnosis is a form of dissociation, so therapists must tread carefully with those who have a history of PTSD.
-Abby’s routine in hypnotherapy with clients to create a safe place
-Abby’s training on novel approaches, differentiation, and utilization (Live via Zoom on 9/19 and 10/25 for therapists and psychotherapists, and CEUs are available!)

Hey Dr.kat, I recently came across your UA-cam channel and was impressed by the quality of your content. To grow & increase the view of your channel you need to optimize your videos. Inspite all of your efforts videos are not being viewed. Video SEO Score is very low. The title, Description, and Tags are not SEO-friendly. Videos are not shared on Social Media platforms and many other problems are found on your UA-cam Channel. If your channel is optimized a little and if the videos are SEO friendly then your channel will rank very fast and your channel will grow. So immediately need Promotion, SEO for your Videos & UA-cam channel. Do you want to improve those problems and grow your UA-cam Channel?

I dont think the gender neutrality is helpful here. I think mothers end up as the default not purely based on indiviudal couple factors, or working arrangements. But based on dominant cultural patterns and expectations about who 'ought to be', who is 'good at' or who should be expected to sacrifice (employment/education/career goals, leisure time, disproportionate to the other partner in a marriage. Its all tied up in socially constructed gendered roles of parenting, masculinity and femininity.

Parker is the only practicing health professional in Yolo County to be a member of the North American Menopause Society. It seems rare, unfortunately, for health care workers to even take an interest in menopause (much less holistic care), so kudos to this woman, who has taken an interest in women's health at ALL stages of life!

I just talked to my husband about this today, nobody is educating men on how to deal with their pregnant spouse or what is going to come along without experience So many relationships are damaged long-term during that time period. And men tend to be very close-minded or stoic and ignore small things or wave away the intense feelings that are being had by the pregnant spouse And that is so altering to women and the way we view the men in our lives that it prominently estranges them

I have tokophobia and the pregnant vids I watch are making me worse but I don’t think about it anymore and the worst thing someone said to me in a stream is “one day you will have a baby”. Then I told her I have tokophobia then she said “ is that a fear of someone screaming💀” then I said “HELL NO ITS A FEAR OF BEING PREGNANT” Then she said “face your fears!” Then I said “Absolutely not thank you..”

This video is so interesting, and I wish that you can also discuss some topics regarding mental health. She is one of the right person who can be able to share some of her past experiences regarding that topic. For me the best medicines are prayers and listening to soft music, and with the help of prescribed medicines. To forget about the dark and bad experiences is the first thing one should do and just think of the good things that is happening in their lives helps a lot. Just always pray and give thanks to God and just move on with their lives will surely helps a lot. Wish that there were topics about mental health and spirituality next time. I relate so much. I had my first intrusive thought my first day home from the hospital. They were horrible. I also looked up my symptoms and saw someone else say they worried they would put their baby in the oven or feel triggered by a pen or pencil. That’s when I knew I probably had pp ocd. I had my intrusive thoughts for almost a year. The first 8 months were intense. I wish I sought help. I didn’t tell anyone for 9 months. They tapered off over time and I tried different coping skills.

I went through this and it is absolute torture. Something I think is noteworthy is that it didn't start for me until about 3 months postpartum. I had been given antibiotics for a UTI and the intrusive thoughts literally started within a couple of days of the antibiotic. Like 0 to 100. I know mental health and gut health have been linked, so I really hope more research is done on the subject. I was also given an SSRI and am doing a lot better now.
