Where is the "Auto Color Track" macro? Or how do you make it?

For quick time stretching, you can just press "1" on your keyboard, and the cursor will cycle between normal cursor and time stretch mode. Much faster and easier :)

Hello, the undo/redo buttons are missing in my sampler control area. Is there some sort of setting where I can toggle these on? I'm running Cubase 11, thanks!

I always change copies of audio events to get their own processing (variaudio, warp) rather than sharing across all copies.

In the key editor I always turn on the function to show the vertical line of the cursor. Very usefull.

I have RipX, i'm Considering Fadr+ because it can separate DRUMS HITS, BKGRD vocal from Lead and chord progression.

iv been messing with cubase the past couple weeks, it feels like its more complicated than it should be, various settings have multiple controls placed all over the place, and they do the same thing, it adds to the clutter on the program

I heard fadr stems is able to extract drum into it's sepreate parts like kick,hi hat, snare, shaker etc? Is this true? even when they are played on top of eachother?

I can vouch for Scaler 2 and its accuracy. It's a great plugin, whether you're a trained keys player or not.

I tried this on a project with a lot of VST plugins and instruments and honestly it didn't make any difference at all. Only when I went to 2048 samples did a see a very marginal improvement but it was literally less than 10% better and could have just been within the margin of error since I only did a few tests. The program doesn't use the USB audio interface for export so I don't see why this would make any difference at all or how you saw those results (assuming they're real).

I am also comparing Specralayers 11 Pro Using Extreme, not best, Vs Ripx 6.5, would love to see a video comparing these two by themselves. im seeing a lot more capability in ripx so far, but Sl 11 Pro has always been my goto for unmixing. Really appreciate this video and the insights gathered.

This video doesn't really take into account VST instruments and effects. This is just rendering down 32 WAV files. It's not very realistic for anyone who's actually producing.

Hi Daniel. A realy , realy good Video! Still i struggling with my Situation: I would like to play my Hardware Synth (Roland JX3P) trough Cubase. So that i can record the Midi-File and the Audio from the JX at the same Time. I would like to Monitor the synth purely analog, with no Latency even when i had to set the Buffersize for my Project in Cubase at a high Level (eg.1024 S/B). But struggling with the set of the recordet Wave-File Position in the Grid. If i let play the recordet Midi-File back and record the Audio its the opposit, the Wave-File lands to early. Somehow logical. The Situation you explained but is a internal Instrument. That works fine with the Asio Latency setting on. But what workflow you would recommen in the Situation i explained. My workaround at the Moment is to toggle between recording either the Interface Input and the "external Instrument" Channels. I talked with Cubase Support or even with there contact Person when they come not further. No real Help there. Could you help me? That would be realy Livesaving;) Anyway thx for your Advises! cheers

Hey Daniel, there's an option now in Cubase 14 for this, so that's cool. Also, for all the Open Stage Control and remote users, Steinberg has at last given us key command and Project Logical Editor access to insert slot bypass and edit. There're probably a few more of these in C14 that I haven't noticed yet.

Great tragedy!!! On Mac it crashes constantly, there are serious missing symbols in the score, which seems to work, when it doesn't stop, don't buy it!!!!

I feel this taking too much time for finding tempo, beat calculator is more easy and flexible.What are other opinions???🤔

great update, but where's the instant audition of presets and sounds like komplete kontrol can do. having to load up presets kills the workflow..

FYI: you can quickly emulate a world without VST2 support in earlier Cubase versions by going to Studio > More Options > Plugin-Information and disable the "VST2 Plugin-Manager" under "Program Plugins" then rescan your plugins and see the VST2 vanish. No need to restart Cubase, edit scan paths or move a bunch of files to see what might be missing and stop working in the future.

Thank you! The VST2 scan saved me from going insane! Every Pro 13 project had Inserts and instruments missing. I did a scan for VST2, and found 532 instruments and effects. Yes 532! 🧡
