Thank you for the test !! What will be practical is the implementation of Spectral Layer in Cubase in particular. Logic Audio managed to do this very simply in their DAW and without using third-party software.
Thanks for watching, SpectraLayers integrates with Cubase via the ARA 2 protocol and I don't expect that will change anytime soon as the release cadence between Cubase and SpectraLayers is different.
Generally you'd want to use an MDX-NET vocal model to get the best vocal and MDX-NET Instrument model to get a better instrumental in UVR. SpectraLayers 11 is ranking around 30th best compared to what is possible in UVR which is usually top 5 in terms of SDR anyway.
The differences are minimal, but what the demo leaves out is how awful the UVR interface is and how it can refuse to run on OSX, it makes it not worth the bother. With SL you also get a lot of other options.
I'd always go with SpectraLayers. It just offers more out of the box and I like the overall quality better. Now of course, it isn't free but I got it for 180 bucks in a sales campaign. Well that said, I'm not 100% neutral on this as I do have a lot of Steinberg stuff.
if you're talking about LALAL.AI, already did a comparison with SL here ua-cam.com/video/Rekk4EB3f7Q/v-deo.htmlsi=qT-HjlXSd4kasmen if you want to hear the results...

Thank you so much Daniel, just this morning I did change moving to SL11 pro from 10👍👍
Nice! 🙂

How to eliminate efx from vocal.
Hello again from Ukraine. My opinion is that UVR shows good results.
Yes it certainly does!
Proof with 90's songs , th..see hows really works ,
😎
UVR is an excellent choice as it’s free… AI is getting better, so soon it should be perfect.
It's definitely competitive!

I was focused on the unmix audio quality, but yes the UVR interface is lackluster compared to SpectraLayers

SpectraLayers is definitely a more complete package!
For pure vocal separation I still think that LALALAI is the cleanest quality with the least artifacts.
