Thanks for watching! I have the black interior in my 2018 Model 3 so I'm partial to that color from many years of ownership. White interior does look really nice and I think it's fairly unique to Teslas so maybe that's why so many UA-camrs get the white.

@ My 2018 Model 3 is red with the black interior. I covered the piano black console in clear paint protection film, so it stays in brand new condition.

My logical side tells me that the white interior looks more spacious, even though the car dimensions are the same. However, the black interior feels more practical since it hides dust and minor smudges better.

I originally forgot to record some charge on solar video on day one so I did that a few weeks after and tacked it onto the video cause it really is one of my favorite features. The efficiency of the new Model Y is really good, avg 240 wh/mi which is better than my Model 3.

Thanks for watching! Great question! I wanted to take advantage of the free FSD transfer (Elon had said it was going to be the last time) and low interest rate loan as well as the tax credit. Not sure if all of these will be available for the Juniper Y right away. I may still upgrade to the Juniper at some point next year if I don't take a huge loss on this new Y.

I want to replace my 3 with the Model Y as well but waiting for the Juniper refresh.

Debt

Thanks for watching! I paid off my 6 year old Model 3 in early 2024 and then after a few months with no car payments, we added the new Model Y. Tesla offered 1.99% interest and we sold my wife's Subaru to put toward a large down payment. The monthly payment on the new Model Y is actually lower than it was when I was paying on my Model 3. I also didn't want to pass on the opportunity to transfer my full self-driving for free to the updated Hardware on the new Y. The $7500 point-of-sale tax credit is a big help too!

@Aki8927 yeah but a very low and reasonable debt for a new vehicle. Only $399/month at 1.99%.

Thanks for watching! Tesla Rockville gave all owners a free tire inflation kit due to a state of Maryland law that requires all new cars include a spare tire or tire repair kit. We got the older version that's not available on the Tesla website anymore. It's the Sensor model made by Fix & Go. Probably not the best but could work in a pinch. Tesla has the Air Compressor + Tire Repair Kit 3.0 on their website now.

Yes also, 0% only works for certain term lengths and down payments (which is sounds like he did).
