apparently its the PCV valve that causes all this trouble and the garage's know it, but it gains them more money to fix the egr valve.

Hey. Had the same issue and your video help me change the bad egr valve. Also i wanted to clean my hyundai throttle body but i cannot locate it. It goes somewhere under the egr valve. Your input will be gladly appreciated.

To anyone that runs into this problem again check for rust between the back plate and knuckle. I had a new backplate fitted, same problem until I took it all apart and cleaned up the knuckle.

google egr valve and youl get it in southall london for 45£ difficult to get to as southall road all choked with traffic maybe go before 9 am

extension i made from 3/4 in brass curtain rail about 4 inch length beat it to oval shape to slip on handle

have now done it took a whole day as bolts are not easy to crack off with smaller handle of thing to turn bolt so made small extension to slip on handle which gave more leverage but really removing egr valve first makes all more easy also putting tape on part that goes round the nuts by putting tape at right angle makes for tight fitting so bolts dont fall off altho one did but picked it up off transmission case put white tape on ends of electrical connectors as could not find them at end searched for 1/2 hour till found anyway car need to be warmed up first otherwise stutters and stops dont know how to resolve this nothing i used could clean the inside then found old type wire with cloth cover put that in drill and petrol went in and out till managed to clean a lot of tar inside the cooling part bought new valve as did not want to risk the old one blocking again car only 67000 mi is 14 years old most town driving but this video is invaluable pity im not like him strong

Good video well done, this is the same EGR as on my Sportage 2008 Diesel. Mine stuck the symptoms were it would start then stop straight away. If I unplugged the EGR solenoid the engine would start and run but not very well. What I did find is that by removing just the solenoid top and using WD40 and carb cleaner sprayed onto the valve I could gently tap it down (it was stuck at the top). Once down another spray and it was possible to get a small spanner on the end of the valve shaft (it has two flats on it) and by rotating it the valve comes back up under spring pressure. More spray tap down again and spin back up, repeated a couple of times and it freed right off. Seems to be working OK so far and only took about 30mins. Once again thanks for making the video.

your egr problem did it also kangeroo intermitantly on low rev's around 2,500 revs??????

Wrong hub assembly.. Looks like the hub is for a 4wd Tucson not a front 2wd?

thanks to watching your video i found out were my sqealing noise was coming from.....the two nuts on the egr body were loose to the manifold .......typical garage fook up....

I don’t know if still see the reactions. I have a question, when the new shock absorber is on, there are two bolds to fasten it on the upper side in the car, you talk about it in your video that it has to be tightened 25Nm, are you talking about the first bold that is going on?

I had ordered some parts from rock auto for my 07 Hyundai tuscon, passenger side hub, bearings, and rotor was fine. The driver side however, they sent me a hub for a huyndai Santa fe and after I pressed the bearing in the bearing had a tick to it. I thought I mashed the bearing when I pressed it in, but then i realized it was completly the wrong hub when i tried to bolt on the rotor which the holes for the Santa fe hub did not match the rotor hole pattern. I was passed their 2 week return policy so I just drilled new holes for the rotor to fit the santa fe hub, and I've driven it since( 25k miles later) and it needs replaced again as there is some popping noises coming from the area. Hope u didnt get the wrong parts for yours
