Thirsty Thursday | The French Blonde Cocktail
May I humbly submit my nomination for cocktail of the summer: The French Blonde. This cocktail is SO GOOD. With combination of fresh grapefruit juice, gin, Lillet Blanc, elderflower liqueur and bitters, it offers the perfect balance for sipping with friends on the patio. Plus it's allegedly Taylor Swift's favorite cocktail. So.
Ingredients:
-2 oz grapefruit juice
-2 oz Lillet Blanc
-1 oz gin
-0.5 oz elderflower liqueur
-2 dashes Angostura bitters
Directions:
Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker half filled with ice. Shake vigorously for 30-45 seconds. Pour into your favorite coupe and garnish with fresh grapefruit. Enjoy!

    Banana Bread French Toast Crunch Meet your new breakfast obsession. Banana bread french toast crunch. Picture banana bread french toast, but then it's coated in Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal. Top with butter, bananas, and maple syrup for the sweetest breakfast treat. Ingredients: 1 egg 1/3 cup of milk 2 tbsp sugar 1 tsp cinnamon 1 cup of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, crushed 2 thick slices of banana bread 2 tbsp of butter Maple syrup, banana, butter, for serving . Directions: Combine the egg and milk in a shallow dish. Add the sugar and cinnamon, whisk to combine. Add the crushed Cinnamon Toast Crunch to a separate shallow bowl. Dip the banana bread first in the egg mixture, then in the Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Heat the butter in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the banana bread slices. Don't turn up the heat - you want to cook it relatively slowly so the sugar doesn't burn on the outside. It should take 2-4 minutes per side. Take out of the pan and serve with maple syrup and extra banana.

    I once worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield, it was a horrible job, but I needed to make money and it was the only option at the time. So to treat myself, once a week I went to this great restaurant called The Starving Artist. It was run by a couple of gay guys, and their specialty was lobster ravioli with this kind of sauce. They went out of business a long time ago, this video brings back fond memories… of the treat meal!

      Just a couple more pedantic questions, if that's ok... What kind of flour did you use? All purpose / plain flour? Is that dark coco powder or ordinary coco powder? Did you use full fat milk or semi skimmed? Did you use caster sugar? Is it okay to use vanilla bean paste? Is it okay to use butter for the chocolate icing?

    • @thegourmetbonvivant5270
      @thegourmetbonvivant5270 9 місяців тому

      @haniyaali5859 hi, no problem! I used AP Flour, regular cocoa powder, 2% milk, regular granulated sugar and yes, you can use butter, just make sure it's softened!
