It's bad luck to be superstitious
what app are you using to track your profit/loss?
Poker income
You suck on poker go to work poker is not for you
If you keep bragging on how your exploiting people cause they don’t bluff someone will eventually use that against you. You occasionally gotta make those hero calls even when you get a card that isn’t good for you/better for opponent if they keep betting it. Just one or two hero calls right or wrong will change the tone and alter their ranges against you At least don’t always snap fold make it look like you have a tough decision sometimes even if you don’t
Can you tell me how you filmed ??
Just did lol
@ with what??
@ iPhone cam!
Can somebody please explain what the red box in the bottom right corner represents
It’s the main opponent in the hand’s stack size
@ Ohhh makes good sense now, thank you!
good fold
why would you not show the 7-2 smh
🤔
Tht last situation, against a player like tht.... but u start thinking he can't be bluffing 2x in a row
He actually had KQ for the straight in the last hand. Said I misread his hand!
@NorCal_Poker oh, so he did NOT have K-J?
@@eugeneahmad5459 correct, he said he had KQ both hands. Bluffed me in one & had me beat in the other
@NorCal_Poker that makes more sense, 2 big bluffs in a row normally not the case
do u play VR poker?
I don’t, heard it’s fun though
@@NorCal_Poker yeah it is, i was just wondering becuase im seen another person with the username NorCalPoker before on some of the games
You made it worse by reversing bro you went from King-Jack-off to Jack-King-off XD
😬
The last hand when you had Ace Queen and he had King Jack when you bet the turn and he didn't raise you we can take away all his two pairs and three of a kind the only thing he's representing on the river is king queen of hearts because the three of hearts on the turn would have gave him enough equity to call or he's representing Ace Jack on the on the river for a value bet
He actually had KQ for the straight in the last hand & I misread it
3:22 did you mean 3 words?
“You’re good”
Lol
Great content as always! Getting bluffed twice tho... oof... Just notcied, 10K subs! CONGRATS!!!
Thank you! 🙏🏻
Nice vlog enjoyed it
Thank you!
I was wondering why you didnt put a flush draw as possible bluffs when a second spade came on turn. I actually thought he may have been turning a pair+flush draw into a semi bluff on turn. Last hand, villain looked like he really did have a value hand. Versus your range, he should never be trying to bluff on that board.
He actually did have KQ for the straight. He let me know in the comment section!
@12:55 this is just a check, comrade! Mostly because if we are bet-folding TPGK here we are lighting a ton of our range's equity on fire! Great vid, wishing you all the rungood!
True its a check a turn.
I do like a check in that spot looking back!
@ I just moved back from SoCal for a couple months, so maybe I'll catch you at the tables sometime. Thanks for replying. I enjoy watching your poker journey.
@@pugsnhogz appreciate that!
I know Im just a guy in your comment section but dude.. your hands with AA and KQ you really need to start checking OOP. Players over stab, don't protect their check back range, and telegraph their hand strength with their bet sizing. J99 betting half pot on a board the favors the preflop caller is just not great. Quarter pot or 10% would've saved you more money. You don't have three streets of value anyway. Same with the KQ. Wouldve been nice to see a check and throwing a big check raise on the flop. Just saying, checking OOP especially when youre facing players who over stab prints money. Love the videos, good luck
I like that strat, guess at 1/2 people were so face up it was a lot easier to play
@@NorCal_Poker Exactly. These players will let you off the hook with their sizing. They also believe just because your checking flop after raising pre you must not have a strong hand. Against passive players who check back many flops betting is probably standard
these steaks are well done!
Cool vid man Brad Owen vibes, be careful ppl watch ur videos might just wanna be random more next time 😆
SUBBED.. Enjoyed both the Video and the Commentary. LET’S GOOOO to 10K!
Thank you 🙌🏻
I don’t know about everybody else, but I wouldn’t mind if you get up five to $600 that you can go ahead and leave with the profit then to sit there and try to get a blog and end up losing all of it plus a few hundred more , love the content
Fair point & thank you!
i could never forgive u for that play.
On the 4 to a flush board what do you think of going something like 500-600 on the river? Any high spade is calling up to 500-600 so might as well go huge and pray he has something worth calling?
lol you're joking right? no High spade is calling for 500 or 600 in that spot without the nuts which hero is currently holding. only a frustrated degenerate or intoxicated moron is paying that off. maybe occasionally the queen high but very unlikely for such a greedy price. What he needed to do was size down to $130 in order to get paid but even then some flushes arent calling. study up
Possibility with the right opponent!
Another great vlog! As Farmer Fran once said “we live to fight another day.”
Thank you!
Never folded QQ preflop
At 1/3 a 4b is legit only AA and sometimes KK
4bet is never a bluff in 1/3. At minimum its AK n ur flipping.
😵
I have learned a lot from you and actually starting to have some winning sessions. By any chance do you do poker coaching or would you? I am on Disablity don't play much due to low income and honestly cannot afford to pay for a coach but thought I would least ask as they say don't hurt to ask. Jay from Tennessee 😎
I don’t do coaching but just keep learning from mistakes & you’ll keep improving & be crushing soon!
The AQ hand. That was 100 % a bluff. They know you will fold, even with 2 pair to that bet.
The guy actually commented on the video saying I misread his hand & he had KQ for the straight 😬
@@NorCal_Poker Its actually almost never a bluff on a wet board like that. The set of 8s, though... thats a call
I have to say being a poker player low stakes your volg is the best volg by far and I watch all. Thanks for great vlogs keep up the good work. Jay from Tennessee 😎
Appreciate the kind words & support!
This is why I get up after specific profit, the longer you stay the higher the coolers
Nah…gotta look at it like it’s one long session. The odds to get coolered on the last hand you play in 1 session, are the exact same as the first hand of the following session. If you don’t have time constraints/responsibilities…you leave when you start playing poorly. Or when you mentally are spent.
Bomb pots are a great way to increase your win rate, as long as you play them carefully, while others make mistakes. Another great Volg.
Agreed & thank you!
Can you go learn how to play poker from Rampage, Mariano, and Wolfgang? 😂
Lol
Keep at it and great vlog! Thanks for sharing.👍
Thank you 🙏🏻
You make great videos. I like the low stakes, little extra talking, brief intro and outro.
Thanks, try to get straight to the point & keep it relateable
the rake just. kills you in 1 to 3 poker
Definitely
I’m not sure why you bet the turn in that KQhh hand. You said yourself he has a ton of flushes in range. I think you should be check/evaluating that turn card OOP. Either way, I think you’re doing just fine in this 1/3 player pool.
Fair point, just wanted to get value from those hands I had beat & not let a 4th diamond come out for free
Still at 1/3 but I ran the table again. Guy sits down with 300. Second hand i get 7/6 hearts. Me and the guy were talking being friendly and he is talking about winning and he makes it 15 which I call very quick and he was like what is your hand. I say the winning hand. Flop is 6-6-10. He makes it 30 i make it 100. He goes all in and I snap call. He asks if i have trips and I say I have the 6. We show and he has pocket kings. Rivers are clean and I scoop 300+ pot. Guy was stunned that I called preflop with 7/6 lol.
Nice hand, Suited connectors win the biggest pots!
Can’t stand when people who are all in with you don’t show their hand right away
I think it’s fun when both people show 😆
Man good poker I hate AK.
It’s a weird hand!
Too many negative Nancy's
lol I don’t mind, I’m just happy to showcase the realities!
🚨 I guess I misread our opponent’s holding in the last hand of Day 2. He let me know that he had KQ for the nut Straight! So that fold was actually the correct play! 🚨
@@NorCal_Poker that makes alot more sense. I think it's a good fold there. A high board in a 3b pot is very, very underbluffed in this line. As you mentioned, most bluffs involve turning pairs into bluffs which people are terrible at doing. You can just call top of range here which is sets/top two pair, and straights. People let you off the hook by playing so ABC! For example, if this guy doesn't lead the river in the future, his range is likely severely capped and you can just blast it.
I’ve been playing at Stones for 6? Years. Just started poker 7 months ago after playing a lot of ultimate Holdem and noticing the patterns. Only played 1-3 once. I’m thinking I need to step up if I’m going to progress. It’s the same old regulars in 1-2 just waiting for the best hands. How much do you walk in with? I’m thinking at least 1k ti survive swings. I’ve seen you there btw. Didn’t know they let you record. Also how tge heck do you remember all the hands to relate the plays later? Doug
@ 3 of your buy ins is what I recommend to stay with the swings. And I use my notes app in my phone to track!
Just read that comment after I wrote what I wrote Good to know my reed was on but I thought he had king queen of hearts I'm surprised if it wasn't king queen he's a good opponent to play against loose passive loose aggressive either way
You see the 1/3 there is hard they play it like it’s a 2/5 big fan by the way
Appreciate it!
You have to call with the set of 88s. In real time I was saying call call, then you folded 🤦♂️. You checked flop and heavily under repped your hand, you got exactly what you want in that spot. Opponent picked up equity in turn and started a bluff with you showing weakness on the flop check. Plus he also has tons of value hands that your beating Two pairs, smaller set, over pairs, etc. The AQ hand could have gone either way, but after he didn’t raise no previous streets, I lean more towards a call, especially since he’s capable. In these spots with a capable opponent, I think you have to close your eyes and flick in the call. Advice: I think you need to do some range chart studying and stop seeing monsters under the bed. Good luck and thanks for the content.
I agree the set of 88’s should be a call. The guy just left a comment in the chat & said how he had KQ for the nut straight in the second hand as well but I see your point. Actually used to watch your videos back in the day so cool to see you comment
Exactly…any $$ in the green is a win and you’ll make the right “call” next time, when someone tries to bluff you..we’ve all been there & done that.. good luck!
Hey nice video. You misread the last hand though! I showed KQ again for a straight, not KJ.
Thanks for sharing, don’t know how I missed that 😅
I hate it when someone gets my number don't you?
Happens sometimes!
I miss Stones. Played there for a week or so back when Veronica hosted a live stream... 😉 Excellent personable dealers including a beautiful gal who was married to another dealer who braided and beaded his beard. Are they still dealing there after that awful scandal?
Dealers are awesome there!
If bomb pots are 1 board where you’re at you’ll love Texas poker. There isn’t 2 cards players typically don’t like
Sounds amazing!
Why don’t you quit while your ahead both days?
Not enough footage for the vlog 😆
@12:00 you're suffering from 'stayed too long at the fair" aka upstuck syndrome. Which a lot of $1-2 and $1-3 players suffer from. If you're trying to play "for profit" at those stakes, forget about trying to play for x number of HOURS per session. Try to play for x numbers of DOLLARS per session. In my case: That corresponds to between plus 50% and 100% of my original buy-in or buy in plus top up. I'd have played another orbit, after dragging those 2 decent pots, racked up and cashed out. That's just me bro. I spent many years suffering with stay too long at the fair, dribbling my healthy (profit) stack down to "upstuck" or "am stuck now gotta get it back" syndrome. That's why the "low stakes pros" love recreational players. Their ecosystem needs to be fed. Daily.
I just need enough hours to make a vlog 😆
@NorCal_Poker 10 minutes used to be "long enough" for monetized vids? Dunno about nowadays tho.
