Did you install a 3 bolt or 1 bolt cam? How many bolts is a stock ls3
I put in a 3 bolt cam. Stock is a one bolt. You will need to buy a 3 bolt timing gear

i found this video extremely helpful. If i might ask, why not try and swap out the BCM from the Suburban/Yukon/Escalade to your truck? its basically the same BCM. My plan is to try and swap out the BCM to try and get the rear windows to work.
Sorry for the late response, but the BCM is on my list of things to try. I believe that may clear up a lot of things. I just haven't tried it yet because of every "junkyard" here thinking they sell new parts

Is the harness spliced into the wiring in the rear or the front of the vehicle?
Sorry for the late response, but no, nothing is spliced in. It all connects to the factory harness
@@GM_TrentOkay thanks, did your truck come with the wiring preinstalled for the turn signal mirrors? My truck doesn’t have the factory wiring installed at all for me to get that style of mirrors. I can’t tell by the video of your wiring was already installed by the factory.

I'm pretty good with wires and schematics... is it possible to just find the designated power wires and splice them to the original harness?
Sorry for the late response, but I tried for countless hours before making this video to see if I could find a work around. Something in the system keeps it from working. I believe it is the BCM, so I will be trying one from a Denali

I’m gonna answer this by saying “not yet” 😅. I’m loving the Borla setup right now, but I’ve been known to switch setups at any given moment

Yes, I had to get a base file just for it to run
How much power is that pushing?
Hasn’t ever been on a dyno. My guess is somewhere around 360 wheel give or take, but my tuner thinks more 🤷🏾♂️
@@GM_Trent well I have an 01 sierra that has a BTR stage 4 truck cam and I got an intake off of a newer roughly 2012 6.2 but research has told me that my 5.3 with my cam with a stock intake and set of headers put 416 to the wheel

I love borlas tone. You want even more sleeper status, 2 magnaflow 18" or 22"... I have a 24" magnaflow on my cammed 5.3, its sooo quiet and now that my truck isnt my only vehicle, im swapping the muffler to a Borla XR1 because i miss having a rowdy sounding truck! Its getting a turbo anyways so might as well have it sounding a little rowdy
That was actually my intentions to go with Magnaflow, but like you said, the Borla tone is what sold me
