Pastor Bill mentioned Martin Luther"s belief in sola scriptura. Do we as Seventh-day Adventists believe this doctrine or prima scriptura, since we also believe in the writings of The Testimony of Jesus?

The things of the Jesuits and Catholic church and the freemasons is scary. They are diabolical. But they have weapons of Satan which instill fear. If we trust in God, He will protect us from the enemy. The battle is the Lord's and his power will crush our enemy. Look at fearless David, a youth who stood up to Goliath.

Yet the govts working for the Jesuits want to take away our rights. I can see it in my own country, may God help us!

If you pay close attention to what Bill Hughes is saying regarding the motives and intentions of Walter Vieth, you will see that he is making the grave mistake of judging and not the righteous judgment that Jesus talked about. How does Bill know that Walter Wife! had the intention to play with him or placate him? He cannot read Walter!s mind. So Bill refused to except that he had misunderstood Walter, even though Walter sent a message saying that he did not mean it this way . Maybe Bill needs to go back and read this spirit of prophecy in regards to evil surprising of your brother.. it seems a bit arrogant that he would take that position because Walter did not respond in the way he expected him to. Sorry, but this seems very petty . in all honesty it seems like vieth took the Christ like way in dealing with this.

We must be very careful not to twist another brother or sister’s words or put our own spin on it. I may not agree with everything Walter says, but I listened to the sermon. He preached about gluing yourself to the seat in the pew. Not once did I get the impression that he was talking about being silent when there was sin or apostasy or false doctrines coming in that is not what he said. In fact, I know he has stated that it is perfectly acceptable to hold leadership accountable and to stand up and speak for the truth and stay in your local church until you can no longer be of influence and then you can move onto a different church. His comment on gluing yourself to the pew was in regard to leaving the estate church and forming part of an offshoot.

You think Halloween is bad? How many people in your church send their kids to government funded public schools for 8 hours a day 5 days a week for 9 months a year…. It’s not Halloween that happens 1 day a year that’s the problem, that’s actually the least of your worries… Find something better to preach about in your church.

Death is the opposite of life and Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. We cannot bring others to Christ whilst engaging in worldly, pagan customs. We are to be in the world but not of the world. I've given myself over to partaking of these customs to preach the Gospel to non-believers and most of the time it doesn't go over well. They expect to see the character of Christ formed within you and see that partaking of these pagan customs are double-mindedness on full display. You cannot mix light with darkness in order to bring truth to bear upon non-believers. It never works.

If the conference you belong doesnt do a good job, do your part even with your own resources. Why waste it with hirelings?

It doesnt require a genius to know that not all the gospel work can be funded by the organization. So when right before you there is a need that will move the gospel work forward, dont hisitate to support it with all you got.

Tithe Is Not Exclusive to Church Ministry but to Gospel Work as a whole. The principle of tithing is often understood as a practice meant to support the formal church ministry. However, in the light of New Testament teachings and examples, tithing and offerings extend beyond church walls and are intended to support gospel work in all its forms. This includes helping ministers, missionaries, and even the needy, all of whom are vital parts of God's mission on Earth. 1. Old Testament Foundation of Tithing In the Old Testament, tithing was primarily given to support the Levites, who had no inheritance of land because they were dedicated to serving in the temple (Numbers 18:21). It was also used to assist the poor and needy in Israel (Deuteronomy 14:28-29), indicating that tithing was not only for religious structures but also for the welfare of the broader community. 2. New Testament Shift: Supporting Gospel Work In the New Testament, while there is less emphasis on the specific practice of tithing, the principles behind giving are expanded. The focus moves from rigid laws to a broader emphasis on supporting gospel work, which includes not only church ministry but also missionaries, lay gospel workers, and helping the needy. Zacchaeus, for instance, is a prime example of someone whose heart was transformed by encountering Jesus, leading to generous giving. In Luke 19:1-10, Zacchaeus, a tax collector known for exploiting people, pledged to give half of his possessions to the poor and repay those he had wronged. This act of giving wasn't out of compulsion, but a direct response to the transformative power of the gospel in his life. Zacchaeus' story shows that true gospel work, which transforms hearts, often inspires generous and sacrificial giving, both to those in need and toward God's mission. Similarly, Jesus commended the poor widow in Luke 21:1-4, who gave all she had, even though her offering was small in comparison to others. Her gift wasn’t tied to her wealth or the church’s need but to her faithfulness and trust in God. Jesus praised her for giving sacrificially from her poverty, demonstrating that giving, whether large or small, when done with the right heart, contributes to the work of God. These examples illustrate that offerings are not restricted to supporting a formal church structure but are part of the broader mission of the gospel. They can go toward helping the poor, supporting ministers, or sustaining the overall gospel mission. 3. Gospel Work Beyond the Church Ministry The New Testament emphasizes the need for financial support not just within the local church but for the greater gospel mission: Supporting Ministers: In 1 Corinthians 9:13-14, Paul teaches that "those who preach the gospel should live of the gospel," indicating that financial support for pastors, missionaries, and gospel workers is essential to keep the mission going. Missionary Work: Paul’s ministry was often supported by offerings from other churches (Philippians 4:15-18). This support went beyond a single church’s ministry and extended to Paul’s work in spreading the gospel in new regions. Helping the Poor: In addition to supporting ministers, the New Testament encourages giving directly to those in need. In Acts 4:32-35, the early believers sold their possessions to help others, showing that offerings could be used to uplift the community and demonstrate Christ’s love to others. 4. A Spirit of Generosity and Sacrifice The examples of Zacchaeus and the poor widow reflect the New Testament’s focus on the heart of the giver. Zacchaeus’ giving was out of his joy and transformation by Christ, while the widow’s offering, though small, was praised by Jesus because it was given out of trust and faithfulness. This shift from legalistic tithing to voluntary, joyful giving is a key theme in the New Testament. In 2 Corinthians 9:6-7, Paul reminds believers to give cheerfully, not under compulsion. This applies to tithes, offerings, and any other form of giving, as the goal is to advance God's kingdom and support the mission of the gospel in whatever form it takes-church ministry, missions, or helping the poor. 5. Balancing Giving: Church and Broader Gospel Work While supporting the local church is important, the New Testament offers a broader perspective on giving. You can allocate your tithes and offerings to: Your local church: Supporting its ministers, programs, and outreach efforts. Missionaries and lay gospel workers: Giving to those actively engaged in preaching the gospel in new places or specific fields. Direct help to the poor: Acts of generosity that reflect God’s heart, like Zacchaeus and the early believers, who gave to those in need. Conclusion Tithing is not limited to supporting formal church ministry but extends to the wider work of the gospel. Whether through church offerings, supporting missionaries, or helping the needy, your giving should reflect the same spirit seen in Zacchaeus and the poor widow-one of joyful, sacrificial, and faithful generosity. In all forms of giving, the heart and intention are what matter most, as you partner with God to spread the gospel and bless others.

Evil? Death is not evil. some schema monks live in monasteries, which have dedicated rooms full of skulls of the previous monks who lived there. It's used as a reminder that life isn't forever, and we should seek out "death to the world." What i see in common with jesus and that man in costume is flesh a soul and a beating heart. Just because Halloween isn't dedicated to christ doesn't make it "anti-christian" sometimes we just wanna dress up and get candy. as a Christian i understand why atheists exist when i see people spreading the word of christ. In this way, i simply disagree with this method as i think it breeds resentment in people when they feel that religion is being shoved down their throats.

Finley is worth 50 MILLION on a GC salary? HOW? I've never had ONE million dollars. I thought conference salaries were modest. No wonder all the local pastors are getting doctorates while ignoring the local flocks, and moving on to conference admin jobs. So glad I was forced to quit financing this GC gravy train when they Targeted me out of the local church in 2020 for "crimes" they STILL haven't Matthew 18'ed me with formally. I now feel like I was giving money to an arm.of the papacy.
