I will be trying that skin tag trick asap. Khun Mae will beat me if she sees me near her papaya tree😂so I will have to get my wife to sneak one
Disappointed seeing the farm in that condition after all the work you put into it.
It has always been, if you work for what you have it is appreciated, more than given
I am glad Chiang Mai city didnt get any of the Flooding
Looks better than some videos I've seen, how is the town now?
Hi Gordon ive been away living in Australia for last6 years I miss Chang Rai but I remeber your farm and the building of the solar and the repairs to the dam. I recall that your friend was going to build on the opposite side of the dam. You put a lot of work into that area. Take care mate Cheers
Hi Allan, yes I don't like to be away for more than a week from Chiang Rai it is a fab place to live and even better to retire to. GT
Has the new wall you put up behind the cow sheds held up ok Gordon ?
Yes so far so good, I designed it had it been Thai it would have been down by now., GT
Excellent job mate
Wow that water really did rise at the farm! I give you credit Gordon that you can bite your tongue on many things you show us ....On the one hand I do laugh as it is funny how you describe it but I can also feel your pain too! Take Care & thanks for the walk !
Hi Mike, mate it is all part of life and a learning curve, the lesson is don't expect anything from them. GT
This is why god made Dr Leo. Many a disappointment has been washed away by a few pints. Stay well and cheers, CD
Indeed CD Dr Leo cure all ills!
Wow. I can feel your frustration. Beard looks good.
Thank you PJ, in all honesty it is all my fault, I tried to make them what they are not (Farmers) PJ they are hunter gatherers can not change will not change. I looked at it from western eyes, in my view if someone had given me a ready made business I would have jumped at it and grasped it with both hands. But this is Thailand and as well you know they are not like us in the west! GT
Sadly many of the Thai's don't think about potential and maintaining things that well and don't think about the future, they just look at it as a free meal, sad. But on the bright side the dam stood her ground !
Lovely place.😊
No such thing thinking ahead good luck 👍😎
You couldn;t be more wrong Russel, The Thais are always thing ahead, to the very next meal! 555 GT
Sounds like you are possibly considering selling the farm. That could possibly end the ongoing frustration with brothers Grimm. Sad to see the likely loss to the fish stock and the damage to the dam, although it held up well co side ring the. Plume of rain and flooding g this year. I know a lot of work and pride went into that project over the years. Best of luck whatever you decide.
Hi Mark, if we can find a tenant or buyer then so be it, if not we soldier on . GT
Sorry about the fish Gordon such is life. We were lucky this morning just got across the bridge in the city before it became impassable. We wil be back on Koh Phangan tomorrow or Friday but was sad leaving flooded Chiang rai but hopefully back up in December. But gave all my new feathered friends an extra feed this morning but they have to fend for them selves till the next time.
There are many hardworking Thais out there…. clearly May got all the work genes in her family.
Yes James it seems Thai ladies are work a hollics and hold family responsibility dear, whilst may Thai men are irresponsible
Hi GT, heartbreaking for sure, but my comments are somewhere else, you will know where. Good to see the farm again. Thanks, I will be there soon, 555
Hi Lew yes I understand, it is a cross I will bare until things change. GT
Heart braking
Hi Tom, it's OK mate we live to fight another day. GT
It’s always greener on the other side of the dam 😂
Why do you live there if your brothers grim annoy you that much stop bagging the Thai people, Brain dead for putting a fish dam there in the first place........
Not my business, but isn't it an obvious place (given the once every ten or fifteen year flood that they get). Purely as it offers a run off into the river rather than where the cattle etc are put? Just curious as to your point?
I can only imagine how heartbreaking it must feel, you certainly have the patience of job, unfortunately I do not,Thailand has always been my holiday destination of choice, but ,living there,I’m thinking not.Good luck GT 🙏🏻
Chill David, Thailand is a fab place to live and retire to, we just need to get into the Thai way of thinking. GT
@@gordontickle1673 unfortunately my aspirations to be more like a Thai man ,haven’t fallen to that level ......yet.555 🙏🏻
In the very least find joy that the dam structure is holding well. I've seen many wash outs
So far so good Tom, I designed it and my American friend Mark built it. and Anglo USA Production you might say. GT
Heartbreaking ..say no more .....
It's OK Billy we still have the asset. GT
As a matter of interest how much would the farm be worth? And what is the lesson learnt here? If you give anything for ‘nowt’ people don’t appreciate it. The hardest pill to swallow is realising that people do not care. Get yourself a Doctor Leo Gordon. You did your best!
David, We the people do care.. All my best to you, and your children, hope all is well.
USD 237k lock stock and rain barrel, a fab buy for a person with drive and ambition. GT
As always, mate, enjoy seeing the farm 🚜. Like the name Brother Grim suits them to a tee. Gordon. Best of luck for the future of the farm. You did a really good job with all the planning and buildings.
Thanks Andrew, as they say "The best laid plans of mice and men"! 555
Lots of flooding around the city now. Bypass shut by the river as it's burst its banks big time. Video to follow
Looking forward to the video.
hello Ian. miss your videos.
@@tomtwinspear7552 There's one being rendered just now
I wish I had a kazillio.n baht. I'd be proud to farm there, Gordon.
No Need for that much Keith $237,000 will buy the freehold and stock
the brothers grim don't care when they know the gaffer has given up, worring about the fsarm, and it's a shame because you put a lot into the place for stuff all help, sell the place and settle for a backyard garden
Least said .. never mended GT... don't know why you bother mate .. sadly not worth it .. been there done that .. never again. At least it's nice and green. Bushyboy Oz.
Perhaps Ewen I am the eternal optimist!
I remember how well that area looked (especially the garden) and the hard work that you put in. I also remember your frustration at them not using the land correctly to feed the cattle. Is there any way you can get somebody in to manage the farm? So much potential.
Hello mate, the answer is yes and no! May will not put another person in and invest time and money she will rent or sell it. GT
build it, and they came. wish you well Gordon.
Hi Tom thank you so much mate, hope to see you here this Canadian winter for some Thai sunshine. GT
Looking well GT, carry on Cheers, CD
Well done Dr May
Hello Gordon, your garden is always beautiful! By the way, jungle medicine is remarkable and May definitely knows it well and was able to cure your pain. Our Thai friend Malenee once made an ointment from plants that quickly healed infected mosquito bites. She also grew up in the Chaing Rai area. Best wishes and happy start of the new week 👍🍀
Hi Gordon! I had a problem with skin tags. I decided to cure the cause. It worked! And got rid of my arthritis as well. ❤
I always thought skin tags were where your skin constantly rubbed against each other, like your inner thighs would. I haven’t done any research though!!
Obviously not a church day GT.....555 🙏🏻
Hi David, I hate all religions with a passion, ergo it will never be a church day for me! 555 I see religion that ends up with wars and people dyeing by the million, As they say "Religion is what I will die for, Dogma is what I will kill for"! When Gaza ends quite likely the first thing the Palestinians will do is re build the Mosques! I ask myself whilst the want an slaughter and genocide is happening where is Allah? Clearly having a few months sabbatical! When the Romans placed the Christians in the Colosseum and let lose the Lions, the Christians prayed and the Lions slept that night on full stomachs.
@@gordontickle1673 I was referring to you being unshaven GT....555 ,love your vlogs 🙏🏻
Thanks David, Religion is my Achilles Heal as I love my fellow man but despise how he and she are lied to by religions, duped, coned filled with false promises.
The Garden looks beautiful, can cut the lawn now 555.
Hi GT, I see you have removed the protection, that is a good move, here is the reason, fruit trees do not need that kind of cover, the hotter the better, when the stems are in the shade or are cold they tend to not sprout, semi-hard and hardwood trees such as what you have, Plums, Peach, Apple. etc are semi-hardwood. Ground cover should be rice husks, they allow air in and repel insects. Composting now could affect your established pH of the soil, which is not a good idea. To identify a peach, you take a leaf and crush it, and you will smell the peach whereas for the plum it has no smell. Apples want full sun the whole day. Cut out all the dry sticks, it promotes growth. Enjoy 555
You said it GT .. he was a King Fisher. The weeds grow first and the plants follow in this weather. Looking good in the garden mate. Bushyboy Oz.
Awesome! Hello Gordon! Another beautiful day in paradise, I see.
Top pies! Recording outside is better than a studio - sets the scene well.
Hi Martin it is for recording audiobooks
How about shepherd pie 🥧
I prefer cottage Pie as I do not care for lamb. GT
