Happy's Airsoft
Приєднався 18 жов 2011
I'm a young, Wisconsin based airsofter, who's been in the hobby/sport since spring of 2010. I've had over 100 guns pass through my hands and I'm itching to get my hands on more! My goal is to spread the joys of airsoft to all in my own unique way through reviews, gameplay content, how-to's, and meme-like content. I mainly play casual walk on days, and focus on obtaining guns and part. Gear and equipment? Eh, not really my thing but I respect the hell outta well built loadouts! I got the nickname happy feet by wearing those gnarly Vibram 5 finger "toe shoes" for a few yeas a while back. As of writing this (January 21st, 2022), this channel is young and I can't wait for it to grow. Happy Airsofting!!!
Airsoft Presidential Tier List: Ranking Airsoft Gun Brands!
**DISCLAIMER**
These are just AI voices, not actual people in this video.
Today I am "Joined" by the presidents to rank some airsoft gun manufacturing brands. There's probably gonna be some Hot takes in this, so comment below what you think! Also, due to how laboring these videos are to make, only 10 brands are ranked. But if it takes off, I'll gladly continue this list and keep it going!

Though this is lengthy, I do a solid deep dive on the E&C 417, AKA, the East Crane-202 Heavy Assault Rifle Replica. This is a pretty good budget 417! It's packing a V2.5 (SR-25) gearbox with a quick change spring guide. This means you can upgrade it very easily compared to the VFC version. It's also a more durable gearbox than the VFC 2.2. Excellent review! Answered a lot of questions I had about this gun. What hop-up/bucking combo did you finally end up with?
@pingpong808 I'm really glad I could help! I ended up settling on the combo of: prometheus 6.03 × 509mm tight bore, maple leaf 75° macaron bucking, modify flat hop nub, and a Maxx Model product M4 hop up chamber. I also jumped the spring up to a Systema M140 and it's cranking put .40g BBs at 2.5 Joules now haha!

Hi Happy I have a TM MTR-16 and I am new to GBBR's . This a used rifle and all of a sudden only fires in full auto but will not fire in semi or go into safe. Any thought what might be causing this issue?
@FrostBytesgt Hmm that's not something I have ever experienced. Sorry that it's doing that to you! It definitely sounds like something in the trigger grouping is messed up, particularly the mechanism that allows the gun to fire 1 shot in semi only, but that's just a guess
Hello how’s the rifle shooting now ? Any problems with it ? I thinking about this bad boy as it will be my first gbbr don’t have any experience changing parts. Out of the box is good and relatable ? And does this rifle feels big in hands ?
@Kkk007-e9w It is still performing well, except the hop up bucking got worn so I replaced that. Otherwise, the gun is still 100% stock and going strong! I have not replaced any of the trigger components or bolt carrier. It doesn't feel too big either. It's medium sized to me.
Will this work on the hpa version
@ijuggernaut5644 I'm not sure. There needs to be a plug for it underneath the trigger mechanism like mine, a spot to put it, and a way for the light to shine into the chamber where the BBs go. My guess is no but you can always take the trigger grip off and see if the little white plug is there, along with the spot to slide it into.
Good day sir.. Can you have a review for EC SR25 901? I'm planing to buy and upgrade it nxt year.. i want to make it full upgraded like 600fps with the best inner upgrades and attachments possible... Thanks and more success
@stygiandesolator7424 I probably won't be able to since all the guns I review are my personal ones, or they belong to friends. If I can get my hands on one, I will! I think they share the same internals as the 417 and mine is over 500fps now. I put in a prometheus 6.03 × 509mm tightbore, M140 spring, ASG 22TPA motor, maple leaf 75° bucking, and a Maxx model product hop up unit and that's it! So far it's holding up well. For 600fps, you may need an M150-M170 spring, so that could require more upgrades, such as a new Gearbox shell, stronger gears, and maybe even a stronger piston.
@@HappysAirsoft i appreciate your tips boss
600 is normal here in Philippines
Anybody know what the stock nozzle length is for the Stoner 63? I can't seem to find reliable data around it. I bought a used one and the compression is all over the place and it had a 21.4mm nozzle
@ShifTactical I can't remember but I know it's different from M4 spec. If I ever go back into mine for repair, I'll tag you in here lol
So would this also work on a hfc hg 195 desert eagle
@schnawg696 I don't think so. I had one years ago and it was a Tokyo Marui clone/Copy so unless that changed, it will disassemble differently.
I had one when they come out the reason i like them is cuse the feeding is gravity fed best feeding no issues like a&k and the fact is that is single shot as well defo the best lmg recommend them 100 percent
@jamesstewart-sb8gw they came back in stock in a limited quantity last year on redwolf and ehobbyasia and I picked a second one up lol. I'm so glad I did. Easily one of my most favorite airsoft guns. And yeah the feeding is absolutely fantastic on these vs A&K machine guns. Plus they don't fall apart over time like those ones do
@@HappysAirsoft yeh am uk there all sold out plus the price has went up to like 710 my first one was 510
@jamesstewart-sb8gw it's the same situation here in the United States too. They go for $700-1,000 used now. My original one I got on sale for $380, which was a phenomenal deal. The last one I got from ehobbyasia for around $730 after that pricey shipping fee lol
Love the field at Action Sports. Been down there the past two years for the star wars game. I got the carbine kit from a BOA and the stock on that one is terrible. I liked the way the gun fired but one mags worth of gas per fill on semi is painful. I can confirm that this issue is not related to the HPA tap.
Hey man, i got a co2 KWC desert eagle that has a big issue. The blowback unit as well as the nozzle assembly will not stay in place and falls out and jams after every shot is taken. There are no places I can see where screws should be put in place. Any ideas on what’s going on with it?
@mockairsoft9223 oh no! That's not good! The KWC is definitely off spec from WE tech. I just watched a couple disassembly videos of them and it looks like they made it so the blow back/nozzle assembly is just held in by tension and nothing else. I'd say yours was not made 100% properly from factory and is off-spec so it doesn't have enough tension to stay in place. It may not be fixable sadly :(
@@mockairsoft9223 ua-cam.com/video/_bxq7BH89fc/v-deo.htmlsi=Z0wQicgysIOvV2Di Go to around 4:10 in this video to see what I mean. It's not held in by any screws at all
@@HappysAirsoft Thank you so much! I found the problem, the two recoil springs I had in the wrong spot, I didn’t know they were supposed to be pushing against the spot where the nozzle is. Appreciate it man!
@mockairsoft9223 awesome! I didn't realize they pushed against it either. That's kinda crazy that it's all just held in by tension from the recoil springs instead of a screw!
@@HappysAirsoft yeah lol, the little ball bearings that holds the fire selector in place fell out so I need more of those too
The two pins go in the stock... Sorry, that's how we learned it for the real steel one 😅
have you experienced jamming with greengas?
@FaraWitana-i7v I have not. The only issues I've had with that is if I try to use an SSX23 magazine in this gun
@@HappysAirsoft anyway what gas you use on game?
@FaraWitana-i7v I actually have an HPA drum for this and I run this as a primary now. But if I was to use green gas, I just use Elite Force green gas.
Trades are under the stickers
@@hazard_wookiee7413 I think there's a version with trades and one without. This is the one without
@@HappysAirsoft huh. My E&C 416D had trades under the same stickers but I’m from gelsoft land down under, US/Euro models may be diff, plus it’s a different rifle all together (word is we’re getting these 417’s in gel around January-ish, we’ll see for sure then lol)
@hazard_wookiee7413 yeah after removing the stickers, there's nothing on mine sadly. But that's cool that you're from all the way down there! Gel blasters look cool but not quite as high performance as airsoft in terms of range/accuracy. I wonder how this would be in Gel blaster form...
@@HappysAirsoft that’s pretty much it, just a straight downgrade performance wise. CQB holds up great though, just can’t hit the shots that something like a 417 was meant for lol. Personally I’m keen to travel internationally and give airsoft a proper go one day
@hazard_wookiee7413 yeah from what I've seen in videos, their groupings are all over the place at range. Definitely not good for a Marksman rifle like a 417. And Definitely give that a go! You could even make the short trip up to Japan and play there!
As a side note, I don't know of any ar patter rfles that are steel. They are typically aircraft grade aluminum but of course this is airsoft me a little lower grade. The only way to get that kind of external quality is to buy a PFC or GMP, but even then these have a better finish. Not better metal
The g28 had a steel receiver originally.
I want that
If you get this from Taiwan yet I'm pretty sure it does include the muzzle device but it's painted orange. Just put it in a bowl of paint thinner and it should dissolve it off. I do the same thing with anything that has painted threads. Imthe paint is so thin that I can scratch it off with my fingernails.
@darkshock42mlg05 maybe I should recheck the box lol. But the one on it in the thumbnail was definitely orange plastic. It's got a huge suppressor on it now though
@@HappysAirsoft That's just My experience from ordering from Taiwan gun. I ordered two guns from them. December Platinum MP5 and the aeroknox ax15. Both had orange mouse devices but they were metal and just had a very thin layer of paint on them. For Taiwan gun, they only painted the three lug, but they include the actual muzzle device in a separate bag and you can unscrew the muzzle device with your hands after removing a grubscrew. My guess is to I might not include is because you live May live in a state like New York or California. Utah which is a pro to a state and did not wrap tape around it
Cool Music
lower rate of fire, but much higher power ouput? Could be used as DMR then, right? 🤡
@chuk90 at my field, they would not allow this as an actual DMR since it's not a replica of a higher caliber battle rifle. But the gun does have much more range potential now and I can make some good 200ft (60m) shots! But yeah, everyone thinks that an M4 can be a DMR if you slap a scope on it and make it shoot hard lol.
ngl, Trump's & Biden AI voice sounds so real.
@@chuk90 right!!! This AI app nailed their voices. Obamas could be better but oh well
Awesome and informative video! Btw, maybe I havent heard it but shouldn't the stock nozzle return spring be replaced by a stronger spring before modifying to a higher power output performance?
@chuk90 I haven't heard of needing to do that but I can look into it! So far the gun has been running smoothly with no issues as is though!
Took mine apart today to try to fix my safety that wasn’t engaging. I screwed it back together right after fighting the spring and the ARL for awhile. The very back of it then wouldn’t fit into the pistol grip since there was a slight gap. I tried unscrewing it and putting it back together and one of the top Allen screws stripped 💀
@solidslicc707 Oh noooo! That sucks! Well one missing screw for the gearbox won't be the end of the world but yeah it sounds like something (maybe the piston, or spring guide) wasn't seated right.
@@HappysAirsoft I’ll definitely try again once my kit for drilling stripped screws comes in. Is it supposed to fit together snugly with no gaps to the point you don’t have to hold it down once it’s fully on all the way? It was quite a struggle for me to fight that spring tension to put it back on. I thought I did it the first time I did only for the ARL to fall out and through the hole the motor head goes into.
@solidslicc707 yeah it should fit together pretty smoothly. You'll still want to hold it in place before you put the screws in just to be safe but yeah there shouldn't be a gap between the shell halves
@@HappysAirsoft Sounds good, I’ll make sure I have the two halves fit snuggly the next time. Maybe I should pick up a magnet somewhere to keep the parts in place while I put it back together. It’s always a pain working on these guns.
@solidslicc707 yeah it's a massive pain keeping gearbox shell halves together when reassembling. I always just try to get top half on with the major components aligned. Then use a tiny screw driver to re-align anything out of place
I just did this with mine, but mine has the giant spring in it. I was actually replacing it with the "club foot" collapsible stock. Still plenty of room for the wire (but I likely can't use it on a field without changing it back). It was both harder and easier than I thought. Took a lot of wiggling to get the old stock off, then I kept either getting the wire pinched, or the spring's end caught on the edge of the receiver. I figured it would be a long project with lots of fiddling around with it, which is how I ended up here, but I got lucky. One solid smack with my palm and it clicked right into place. I wasn't expecting that.
@emanekaf145 Nice! Honestly, all LCTs are bit stiff on their first disassembly but this stock was definitely on tight lol
Looks like the resident evil 4 vr gold Chicago typewriter
Looks like the resident evil 4 vr gold Chicago typewriter
I’m really wanting to get into silenced stuff. But it’s all new to me, I like the look of the TM Bodyguard and LCPs silenced. But one of the mod kits don’t see to really work when suppressing? But on the MK23s what one out the box is the best quality and is the quietest? And can you convert any gun to HPA? I can really see the benefits of such an upgrade.
@kylethedalek from what I've gathered is that all the MK23s are super quiet. I've only seen this one and the novritsch version, so I can't speak on behalf of the others (like the ASG). It is relatively easy to HPA one of these. All you have to do is remove the gas fill valve and replace it with an HPA tap and done! That or some companies (primary airsoft or Airtac UK) make 3D printed adapters where you can use AEG magazines in the gun as well as HPA and it's super easy to use
@@HappysAirsoft Thanks man! Is the only other mod needed the flap? I’m really thinking about it, I can’t believe how quite they are. But then for the same price I could get a Uzi or for some more a WE XM. But then I they don’t have the quietness of a MK23.
@kylethedalek if you want it to be dead quiet, there's the flap mod and I've seen kits for lighter triggers and mods to soften up the noise that the hammer makes too. I'm not sure how to do that one though but I remember seeing a video on it and it was really quiet! And yeah the MK23 is expensive for a pistol but with just a few upgrades, you can hop .40s with ease and have it shooting 1.5J so it has 200ft of range haha!
Did you ever find a fix for holding up the magazine? Just got one and right out the box I’m having this issue. Figured they would have addressed this by now.
@@Lost3DPrints I took a tiny piece of electrical tape and super glued it to the top portion of the little slot where the mag catch latches into the magazine. I also noticed the gun performed way better after installing the CNC nozzle stopper too
@@HappysAirsoft Ok sweet I’m going to give this a try, I did get the updated version with a CNC nozzle stopper already. But I’ve only shot around 200 shots due to being irritated about having to hold the mag up. Edit* wow seemed to fix it! I was really hoping something simple like this would fix it. Fingers crossed I can get a few games with no other issues. I’m running a TAPP airsoft HPA drum mag.
@@Lost3DPrints that's so awesome! Glad that it worked! Hopefully it holds up in gameplay

the gun is new btw....and i watched that video...the mag isn t the problem
@sake170 that's really strange. The only other things I could think of is that your bolt isn't traveling back far enough to be locked back by the bolt catch, or that the bolt carrier or bolt catch themselves are straight up faulty/broken in some sort of way
@@HappysAirsoft i did 6 seconds gas fill to my mag and now after i shoot a full mag it locks but....if i load my mag with gas for 10 seconds and i try to shoot after the 10sec load...when i finish the bb s the the bolt dosen t lock back...

Good to see lesser brands branching out, sometimes I like to try out a platform by getting a cheap replica to mess with then deciding if I want to invest in a premium model.
@QuattroSG I agree! It's nice when a more affordable brand makes a cool replica that's actually good. I had heard good things about E&C, and the photos of the gearbox looked promising so I went for this and it paid off!
Or use a 3d printer like me and make your own taginn shells and launcher
That's probably the best idea right there!
Oh no man that’s terrible might as well use a AEG bro that’s horrible hpa a gas rifle is the most horrible thing I’ve seen poor rifle an btw this gun can hop 40s stock just saying lol
To each their own. I don't want to deal with the impractical aspects of GBBs but I want the fun of it still lol. I'm happy with it. And idk how you're hopping .40s with yours but the best mine could do was .30s with the hop completely maxed out
@@HappysAirsoft TM takes away the impractical though? Ive used gas rifles for a very long time and the mws is the best competitive rifle that hangs with everything gas rifles are supposed to be train worthy 30 rounds that’s it buy extras idk I see other people commenting that too just bugs the hell out of me lol the NGRS ARG Series is what you want recoil 120 round mags the last bullet makes you take the mag out an hit the bolt gas rifles are ment to put you in the most realistic scenario possible but man It’s like buying a Lamborghini and putting a Honda civic engine in it Lamborghini being the gas rifle Honda civic being the hpgay engine in it but like you said to each their own people will destroy their rifle an what’s left is the people you trigger along the way lmao 😂 as long as your having fun is the name of the sport but for now #justiceforyourpoorMTR16 may it find a better home lol 😂
@TooSynical yeah I get that gas rifles are supposed to be for the realism and that's great! But I play mostly for fun. If I want realism that badly, I go shoot my real AR-15 at a range lol. I get that's not the point though. I've skirmished with gas guns with gas only mags and I find it too impractical, even if it's an MWS. You still only have 30rounds vs everyone else using 150-250 round mid caps in AEGs. You still have to refill gas way more frequently. You still get more inconsistency between shots than an HPA GBBR or AEG. It takes you way long to reload a GBBR mag on field. That's what I mean. With my adapter, I have excellent consistency, I have everyone else's ammo capacity, I don't have to carry green gas/propane tanks on me and fill in between games, and I can use this in 45°F weather more practically. But again to each their own. And I'd say you're car analogy isn't on point. Swapping your GBB to HPA only increases performance, it just takes away from The realism. The better comparison is like when people LS swap an RX-7. Yeah it's more practical and reliable... but that's not the point of owning an RX-7 lol
Is it plastic? I love metal ❤
Nope! This bad boy is all metal!
How did you get the orange paint off of the threaded tip?
For the suppressor, I scraped it off. For the tip, I scraped some of it off and the rest I just left on since the suppressor is always on it
how many teeth does the sector gear has? does it has the standard 16 teeth or 19?
This one has 19 teeth on it
@HappysAirsoft did you open up the gearbox and counted the teeth? the cylinder dosnt look like a full lenght 2.5

@HappysAirsoft Yeah ik, I've watched the hole video. The video you've linked me was the video I was searching, thanks! The sector gear has 19 teeth and the set looks compatible with sr25 style gear sets ( the spur gear is bigger and thicker than normal v2/v3 gears)
@motanugras6851 yeah no problem! It should take SR25 style parts inside. So far this gun has been pretty awesome for me!
i play on 1j, but changing from HPA or Green Gas everytime i need to regulate the ra tech NPAS. On my m4 there is a 370mm 6.03 inner, so with the stock npas i reach 0.80j with no hop. You advice to file the plastic for 0.2mm to compensate?
Yeah I would say file it down just a little bit like that to get it right where you want it. If you need more, then just take off tiny bits at a time until it's just right
Is beautiful.
Bro, your videos are so underrated
Why thank you! I appreciate that! 🙏
I done the same mistake at the start. How do you unlock it?
Oh no! Sorry for the late reply. I was asleep. But in order to open the gun back up, you need to take the stock and buffer tube off so you can pull the buffer and spring out the back end of the gun.
I highly recommend brushless mototrs in lmg's you will be shooting a lot more round meaning more battery consumption. be sure to buy the moror accordingly to your rof limits. thats also why i use t238 motors. everything esle with a brushless will be a warhead.
I ran that Option No 1 in my stoner for a while but eventually took it out since it was a bit too fast for my liking. I think as long as you have a nice neo magnet brushed motor plus good shimming, it's fine for LMGs. I think the best part of a brushless is the semi auto response. It's so quick!
Bro... Mass effect as background music? You got a new Subscriber sir!
Thank you! It's such an amazing track from that game!
Get ur self a real shooter little boy...
Theas e&c gear boxs are stupid easy to work on but i noticed with some of there gearboxs thay dont have shims :| but thays not hard to shim the gears and the airseal is pretty decent and quick chnage spring is nice and easy to swap id say dump the motor for somehting a little better and be warned some of fheas e&c inner barrels are caked in greese like i mean its realy in there so if you getine take the upper off the lower and run the unjamming rod with skme paler towel and test to see if the inner barrel has grease witch i take it is for storage since the inner barrels are brass but over all there not bad guns and i habe there mk18 mod0 thay also came with deep colt trades and crane marking on the magwell
I already swapped to an ASG 22K motor and I noticed the excess barrel grease as well! I swapped to a prometheus 6.03 tightbore now with a Maple leaf 75° bucking. It's shooting pretty nicely and can hop .40g bbs pretty well! Overall, I really like this gun!
Thank you for this video, you have helped me decide to get it, I've been out of the game for about 7-8 years so getting a new rifle that I liked the look of was a big thing for me! Video was very informative and a pleasure to watch! subbed.
I appreciate the sub and supportive comment! I'm glad I could help you decide on your next gun. A lot has changed in 7-8 years!
Any videos of taking the barrel off?
I have not taken the outer barrel off on one of these so sadly, I don't have one
