Thank you brother. I was tempted by their BOGO deal they're incessantly advertising right now. I carry the shield and the possibility of an ND due to inadequate trigger protection is an absolute deal breaker for me. That snap release issue is also wuite the problem too. Good review, wish i would have seen it before I ordered one of them. I was looking at it as something to attach a kidex holster I like onto to utilize that built in belt occasionally , with shorts in the summer . I guess I will see if it will work for that purpose. I will have 2 of them , it was buy one and get one free. There is a different soft type belly band I think you would find much more comfortable if you haven’t found anything you like yet. It unsnaps as you would expect and the reinforced trigger guard part covers a full or mid size trigger sufficiently that you can trust it not to get depressed. ComfortTac is the branding on them and they are cheap but of decent quality for a soft belly band. Since you are at the higher end of the sizing going with the extra large size might work better, they used to be cheap enough you could buy 2 and spend less than 50 bucks. Maybe get a regular and the larger size, just keep the one that works and return the other one. You can find them on amazon. Maybe this is of interest if you are still looking for something reasonably comfortable. I use mine often when I wear bibbed overalls. Works perfectly for me personally, hope it’s a possible solution for you as well.

You are right, scratch parts rubs on belly causes uncomfortable, thats why i put it on undergarment, and regarding hook problem i dont use hook. And thats why everyone should go to shop and purchase after try. Never ever shop online.

I heard they were selling an extra band called and extender that I think was created because of your review... add to the strap So that people can't feel the scratchy part on their abdomen. As far as the guard where you put the gun that you can still pull the trigger.... I thought that one would put the gun without having a bullet in the chamber.... So what am I missing here? And why would you accidentally pull the trigger while it's in your holster? Is there something I'm not understanding of possibilities? Seriously. I don't know anything about guns.... But don't some guns have a safety button anyway? And if they don't, again, just don't have a bullet in the chamber or just carry it empty but with the magazine on the side? I know it's not as fast as already having a bullet in the gun. Any comments? Thanks because I'm thinking about buying this holster for my boyfriend. Maybe you can still call the company and ask them for the extra little straps see if They can send it to you because they might have started adding it after you bought it after people's complaints and returning it because of that scratchiness. As far as the strap difficulty, how about not strapping it.

I am looking for a holster to replace my owb as I am getting older and have to cinch the belt tighter to hold my piece up which, in turn, is causing some back pain. I see the problems you mention and, since I do not have one of these holsters, am wondering if a box cutter applied to the inside piece of material on the thumb break would correct that problem.

I agree, the retention strap should have that fold on the inside of the strap. And they should have the hook velcro on the opposite side of the belt. Good review

Just goes to show that they didn’t think it through when they designed it. So to me it’s either plain laziness, or they just don’t give a damn.

ooh ahh that lack of trigger guard is a deal breaker simply because that could potentially be very dangerous for full sized pistols for any number of situations and getting shot by your own firearm is a really bad day. thx for the honest review was thinking about getting a few but wanted an honest review rather than just taking their word for it because it looks like a good idea for holsters and I figured there had to be something wrong with it
