I remember watching this movie on HBO or some other provider when I was 13. Felt like a forbidden movie at the time lol. I loved it though. Read the book by Bret Easton Ellis; it's one of my favorites.

My first SCREAM in the theater. I got taken by my older college-aged sister (I was in 6th grade). So fun.

I remember REALLY liking this girl in 8th grade and going to a dance and her saying she liked another guy. Then after renting Scream 2. Some kid in my class ruined Scream 3 by saying her brother was the killer.

I was born in 93 but this does bring a lot of nostalgia because I basically grew up with my uncle who was only 9 years older than me. He graduated in 2003 so when he was hanging with his friends in high school it was exactly like how you guys were chillin at the fair lol

I remember almost walking out of this film when I was watching it after Ghostface threw the knife and hit Dewey in the head. I was so unnerved by the lack of graphic violence

I miss the midnight showing of the movie's, and it was first come, first serve at the theaters. Now, it's assigned seats. Back then, it turned into an event. It was an excitement to wait in line.

5:50 I disagree, it was terrible , it is better than Scream 4 . I remember my friends at that time didn’t like the 3rd one . I stopped watching “Scream” after I saw the 5th one. 11:16 I can’t stand when that happens, I had to go to different theaters cuz certain areas had chatters that won’t shut up .

13:57 exactly. Making a character like Kincaid that odd, and then so sinister at times, only for him not to be the killer, felt a little off to me. I've seen the earlier drafts, and he was never the killer or one of the killers in any of them, which is why it feels a little OTT for Kincaid to act as he did. Good point regarding when he's asked "Where's your partner", to which he yet again acts suspicious by not answering and instead giving this evil expression. He also took Dewey's phone earlier in the film, which initially led me to believe he was Ghostface or at least working with another Ghostface, giving them Sid's number. Last, but while I like the film, the scene of Gale checking Roman's pulse doesn't really mesh with the reveal, as it would be near impossible for him to stop his pulse. Considering the re-writes during filming, it comes across like they forgot about the pulse checking scene, when writing the finale. It would not shock me if Mark ends up being revealed as bad or partially bad in the next film.

What do you think of this movie now compared to the later Rob Zombie ones and the Gordon Green trilogy? There was supposed to be a Halloween 9 at one point called Halloween: Retribution but they made RZ's movie instead.
