I remember watching this movie on HBO or some other provider when I was 13. Felt like a forbidden movie at the time lol. I loved it though. Read the book by Bret Easton Ellis; it's one of my favorites.
It's great how you've managed to capture the rollercoaster in action before the movie started. Have you recorded that same thing prior during your other visits to the Regal theater?
1:53 Was your friend by chance referring to the then-upcoming release of the Nirvana greatest hits album? I remember sitting in a Rite-Aid parking lot on a dark evening 22 years ago when I heard "You Know You're Right" come on for the first time. It was a surreal temporal bridge right back to the 'In Utero' days, and feeling like a teenager again while convening with an old pal within those several short minutes. 2:03 Love the appearance of The Polyphonic Spree!
So what was going on with that theater? The outside was giving me department store vibes and the inside was so liminal. And the Regal roller coaster brings back a lot of memories. I totally forgot about that.
The theater used to have an arcade and mini golf course in it but then they closed that stuff down and remodeled in 2002. this was during that remodel.
Hi Guys Did You See Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, Ice Age, Lilo and Stitch, Treasure Planet, Hey Arnold! The Movie, The Wild Thornberrys Movie and Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie at Regal Entertainment Group Back at 2002?
Always loved the Regal rollercoaster. RIP to your friend. Seems like he was a cool dude.

I love how this video gives off a liminal space vibe in some parts

I assume the theater was doing construction on the ticket area following the closure of Funscape.
