Just a quick note, but Chaos Snap and by extension Lance only work with Chaos Boost up in 06. Snap doesn't have a specific animation or effect, but you do instantly teleport to enemies with it and skip the actual homing animation (the camera is very jarring though due to the lack of the transition). It can warp through hazards to hit enemies and springs and what not though (if I remember correctly, this was a glitch turned required feature in some of the Very Hard dlc stages for 06). But yeah anyways, that's where the idea for that property of SXSG's Snap comes from.

I want Shadow's 2D sections to feel fast again. Shadow Generations runs on the same engine as Forces and Frontiers and both those games had the SLOWEST 2D sections I've ever played. It felt like playing a Mario game as opposed to a Sonic game and that's something I don't wanna see return in Shadow Generations. BRING BACK THE SUPER SPEEDY 2D BOOST SECTIONS!

One thing I do wanna add (aside from apologizing for any random audio pops in the video, which were not intended), is that while I spoke negatively about Sonic Forces throughout the video. It doesn't mean I outright hate the game. In fact, I do play through it a couple times a year, despite the issues I have with it. Don't ask why, cuz even I don't know why I get the itch to play through it again. All I'm doing, is merely comparing the two games, in a different light than everyone else is/was doing. Which has so far, spread a bunch of paranoia around Shadow Generations. At least, before the latest batch of trailers, the Dark Beginnings episodes & the Tokyo Games Show gameplay started popping up in the past couple of weeks. Once all that happened, all that discourse started to become radio silent. Soo... yeah, that's all I wanted to say. Now if you excuse me, I'm gonna go resume my break. :)

You know it's implied that shadow wiped out infinite's squad. People make fun of him for being angry but no one thinks why he got that angry over something other characters would walk off. If he couldn't avenge this comrads then this makes alot more sence. Not only that but I'm pretty sure shadow kicked out his eye based on the way he holds his right eye, and that would explain the mask having the right eye blacked out. And I'm pretty sure people willfully ignorant of this but infinte messed with shadow's head when he got the ruby and made the world think he turned on them again.

I think his doom powers are going to cure Maria's illness. So that way doom has leverage over shadow. If the venom parallel are anything to go by this might be the case.

8:32 Wow, that’s something I'm really surprised and happy about. Good to know some people from the Gens and Unleased team are returning to make the new content. I think that would help keep it in line with those two games and their quality. Now I'm getting a bit more optimistic, here.

This game was the first Sonic game that I had full knowledge of with it’s release cycle. From the leaks coming out the day before to me pre-ordering the game and even convincing myself to get a PS5 for the best experiences, I think this ride has been crazy.

My guess is that the doom powers slowly corrupt him as if you watch the animations when you get them he looks like he’s in pain and resisting it so my guess is that it can corrupt shadow slowly

also, I recently did a replay of Sonic Forces and honest opinions. It’s not as bad as people keep saying it was in fact, I’d consider it one of the best games to introduce someone to the sonic series do not have your expectations so low, but also not so high it’s a good mid and I’m okey with that

The unfortunate thing I have to note as a correction: The chain homing attack Shadow does in Forces is not exclusive to him, it's actually the enemy chain itself that causes that, it's just an enemy type (group) that never appears in the base game. (It's actually a reused enemy from Lost World's mach speed level, doing the same in that level). So Shadow has absolutely no exclusive abilities in either the base game of Forces or Episode Shadow

Sonic also has the Light Speed Homing Attack. They're exactly the same, just a reskin. Same with the Avatar, except the avatar doesn't have a boost.

It’s actually been confirmed that Doom Wing will require Shadow to collect 50 rings to activate it, making it kind of like his equivalent to Super Sonic in Sonic Generations, who also requires 50 rings to activate and has the ability to fly

It would be a good idea if Shadow makes an appearance in the next Mainline Sonic Game as a playable character. I don’t know how Shadow’s Generation story will tie in to the main story in Sonic Generations but I’m thinking you might have the option to either play the main story first or Shadow’s story. I also noticed that a level from Forces was featured in the game trailers and I’m thinking that it sort of a lost level cut from the final version. 5:25; 6:56 It’s kind of funny that you compared some of Shadow’s abilities to Ratchet & Clank and Jak & Daxter in this video.

Fun Fact: Episode Shadow in Forces was originally gonna be much longer than what we got. There are tons of unused dialogue and Jackel Squad members as boss fights

The games getting re-imagined is the best possible setup... Especially if they wanted to keep the general Marvel Ultimate Alliance setup concept, since it could then be far better to start by not only having full cutscenes FAR more often, but also a bigger roster of playable characters that you can switch in and out of the 4 player slots, creating whatever 4 character team you can think of. By then, it'll help to also adapt Tak and the Power of Juju in a far better way when they can base it more on the OG trilogy of games rather than the TERRIBLE show they did later on, as well as all the other shows that got representation later on and never did even in the later 3 games... Like, Avatar The Last Airbender? Which needs NOT a remake of the 3 games it had back then, but a brand new game adapting all 3 seasons/books of the original series, down to where... I'd personally hope they get Platinum Games to do it, since they already did a game for Korra that... While I dislike the series, especially in comparison to The Last Airbender being LEAGUES better, the game itself had a solid structure. Then, with Avatar The Last Airbender having all 3 of the books adapted into one game, you can have a solid campaign for Aang, but also you can adapt Katara into her own playable character with her own campaign too(perhaps eventually having Blood Bending as a mechanic?), also having Sokka rocking his own campaign with unique gameplay to reflect his lack of bending AND rocking just weapons instead, Toph would also be nice to see with her own campaign, but... What would especially be awesome, is if Zuko can not only rock his own campaign, but also Uncle Iroh too, to perhaps see his younger years this way as well! All that combined would make for the ULTIMATE Avatar The Last Airbender game that would sell like crazy, easily!!! Also, when the hell is Tak's trilogy gonna be remade finally!? I was SO HAPPY to see him on the list of franchises they'd be working on, so of course I'm hoping the original trilogy gets remade for modern consoles AND PC! After all, the original game was my first PS2 game and lead me to get a PS2 when I was in elementary school... Without Tak, I would have never played stuff like Kingdom Hearts, let alone Jak and Daxter... So... It needs to finally have some info come out soon... 😢💔

Just so everyone knows, I'm unfortunately NOT gonna be able to do the "New Info recap for Sonic X Shadow Generations" video, going over all the Summer Games Fest & Gamescom info. As I feel like we're SO close to launch, and we'll be in the midst of the Dark Beginnings parts/episodes dropping in the weeks leading up to launch. I just feel my energy would be best used towards a review of the game, which'll feature all the same info. But in a more evergreen form. Which works out for me, cuz after it releases, everything will be pretty quiet. Aside from Lego Horizon Adventures & Sonic Movie 3. So yeah, that's where I'm at now. Still plan on more Sonic X Shadow Generations content. :)

Losing my damn mind over how well these lyrics suit Shadow. I could go on and on. He lost _everything_ but he’s moving forward, carrying Maria and Gerald in his heart. Living a life they could be proud of, 50 years outta time on a planet unfamiliar to him. He’s even found a new family in Rouge and Omega.

In my opinion they ruined Blaze character in 06 she should have never been apart of that game at all she was amazing in Rush and they should have carried on from there. Blaze and Sonic together are amazing I hope she truly gets justice and not be with Silver that was a huge mistake let her stay her own character.
