First of all, great video! I’m in the process of restoring my old PS 26, and this has been a huge help. Unfortunately, I broke the piston outlet valve seat into two pieces while trying to remove it. I found out that a new one costs around 100 EUR 😅. Do you know of a cheaper alternative, or would it be possible to reuse it? I have it seated again, but I can feel the two cracks, so I’m unsure if it will leak or potentially damage the new ball.

personally l think its way overpriced for what it is period ...we get shafted in Australia this pump with normal use will only last you so long ?made out of plastic? .....1400 to 1500 aud maximum would be reasonably priced
I have a titan ED655 pluss, what hydraulic oil can I use with it? Can I use Titan 430-361 Speeflo CoolFlo Hydraulic Oil, you recommended Wagner oil part# 0088009L is that ok to use with this machine
0088009L is the Wagner part we use,
Thanks for sharing. At the price point they have these at, they need to expect that pros will be making substantial use out of them. The part for pump replacement in the US sells for less than $250. I'm not sure how difficult the labor is on the repair. But if they want to sell more of them, they need to do the pump replacement for a reasonable price. $600 AUD is roughly $400 US which is not that bad. But they really should get that repair cost down to $600 AUD/$300 USD.

I have a Titan Powrliner 3500 that I just got back from warranty service (Titan replaced the pump) 2 months ago, and it won’t prime. I found a big chunk of dried paint in the pickup tube and cleaned it out and replaced the inlet and outlet valves and it still won’t prime. Thanks for posting this video. I’ll try some of your suggestions.
Figured it out yet? I’m still struggling trying to get one to prime.

i'm just learning about this now....had machine for aabout three years and it always has problems after it sits for a couple of weeks..... i eventually get it going after couple of hours....but i think i finally understand how to fix this priming issue now....i guess its always one of those balls that are stuck in there.....anyways thanks for the visual video ...

0:57...only in not out...the inlet valve only lets paint in,then the presure of the membrane is closing it...the outlet valve with ball and seat is easy to test,just raise the pressure to 200 bars and watch if the pressure is constant not fluctuating.....
What machine do you believe is the most reliable for small jobs piston or diaphragm thanks for sharing your experience

Been using diaphragm rigs for over 40 yrs. They have their place amongst piston pumps. You should always have them both for different applications.
We have a couple of Titan line stripers with diaphragm pumps. One has been quite reliable, and the other one just broke down again 2 months after getting it back from warranty service. I’m still on the fence about diaphragm pumps. I’ll take a piston pump or a hydraulic over this any day of the week. When they run, they run very well. When they don’t, they’re difficult to fix.

Yes if it doesn't spring back up when you push it, it won't seal
@@westsprayairless8763 the red button of priming working spring is there but the one where you attaching the hose with gun the ball is loose cos the spring it's looks tired after 4y of using
Thanks mate, I have a True Coat Plus II and it drove me bonkers because it wouldn't prime when washing out the storage fluid. All it took was a simple de-press of the valve with a pencil. Cheers from LaLa Land, California.

Work at a speed suitable to your ability and tip size

Pressure is too high, causing bounce back
do you use a shit load of pant when you use a sprayer?
You can definitely use more if it's not correctly set up. Eg too big a tip, too much pressure, worn tips etc

Kinda lost interest as it was so slow .
High mechanical load means it's working much harder than normal and needs attention, normally a new motor will solve the issue, if it hasn't, then you should remove the gears, check the bearing in the housing and connecting rod. You will likely find the problem to be a seized main bearing

Hi I have an issue with a titan 640 impact I would appreciate a lot if you could help me. the screen shows high mechanical load and once I turn it on the motor runs really slow I want to know what to do to fix it since I got a used motor replacement but it still not working and still shows that so just wondering what else to look into it

Hello Marley, you gave a lots of good information. I have a Wagner 404 plus spray paint. after painting my double and a single garage doors died. I cleaned everything..... the piston is not not scratch or the walls of the sleeve. filled out with Titan coolflow hydraulic oil, the piston and bearing is working properly is filled with hydraulic oil. new diahragm, valve loose, ball cleaned. the piston goes up and down, some fluid there but not enough to even move the diaphragm. I can not do what you did by pouring the oil and watch to circulate, because this model has a slanted cover in one side and you can not have any liquid oil there. I think that circulates, but pressure does not built. Is this hydraulic oil too thin ? do I need a higher viscosity? Please help!
Put covers back on and seal up the unit, remove inlet valve, start unit, turn pressure controller up and monitor the diaphragm from the hole that the inlet vlve sits in, if diaphragm moves more and less as you turn pressure dial up and down, then there s no problem in the hydraulics, what you should also do is remove outlet valve, then the seal underneath it, look at the metal housing under theseal, if there is any injection then the pump head will need replacing. I got a dulux aquanamel paint I need to use for the doors. Is tip 208 good enough?
Better to use a 310, 308 is just alittle too fine for water based paints
Bottom line, Greco does in one coat what the Wagner / Titan does in 4.
Completely different ways of applicating, eg you cant control lower flows and still have a good finish with the graco because its an airless, you can with the Wagner because its a HVLP, but speed theres no comparison the Graco will be much quicker
At 5:46 there is a change in the way the system is running from the sound of it. What exactly is happening there?
