You did a splendit job on catching the atmosphere of HL2 in the video. However, a huge aspect about the atmosphere in every Half-Life title has always been the abscence of music, letting the soundscapes create a feeling of real places. Expect, when shit is going nuts and there is like a boss fight or hordes of enemies or a subtle ambient tune to emphasise the ambience. The overemotional and cinematic style of music just doesn't feel right... But I do love the visual part!

The most dangerous thing about the combine are not their synths, not the OTA soldiers, their weapons and APCs, dropships and so on. It is humanity at their disposal. Humans are so hungry for power, money and privilege, that the majority of the citizens would have most likely just played along, slowly being stripped of their rights and belongings as they mindlessly follow the combine system. I am surprised there were no pro-combine citizens during the uprising

Somehow the City 17 uprising to me especially this video, reminds me of the Warsaw uprising in WW2. An underground rebellion planning to do an uprising against an invasive empire The uprising is bloody street fights and house to house fighting. And the end cause is the city being turned into rubble.
