    I'm one of the few guys left riding Japanese. I'm wondering if anyone's modified a bill dart mount to fit a yz450fx? Or will the trailbound Mount to a yz? I love the bill dart model but it's limited to ktm's and husy's.. The enduro engineering mount is good but I'd like something less bulky and heavy. Thanks

    Stihl MS200T alternative is the HolzfformaG111. Yeah it is a Chinese saw. You can use MS200T parts. I've been running one for awhile. Cut alot of deadwood around Sawmill over the last two seasons. Run a lot with the ISTA in southeast Idaho.

    Good review of the chainsaws! I ran a craftsman saw 16" bar since the late 80's but it wore out, no parts. Bought a Stihl MS193T 14" bar at the start of 21' and works great. Lots of down trees here in Northern California after the fires in 2018, they just keep falling after a good wind. I was going to put a 16" bar on the Stihl but I can cut a 26" log with the 14" bar so I haven't needed to go longer yet. I carry it on the back of a Honda XR400R with a homemade wood rack. Carry a folding saw on handlebars for the small stuff. Have to keep the trails open or will lose them!

    I cut 6 trees and I'm whooped for the rest of the day. I can't even imagine 47 just to get to this trail in a day. Was this trail left off/removed from the MVUM accidental or did the land managers intend to close this trail forever to motorized use? It looks well used for being recently re-opened. I don't often hear of a trail re-opened so it's refreshing to see. I use an external mic and tuck it into the face piece of the helmet to help reduce wind noise. Internal mic's just caught to much wind noise even when I tried to cover it.

    • @Idaho_Rambler
      @Idaho_Rambler 2 роки тому

      Complete accident. During the mass rush to get the MVUM’s generated around 2012 they had everyone doing the data entry into the FS database. I bet there are more errors to be found !

    Really think about a chain failure. Twist a link, break a link, break a pin. If you break a large outside link a clip type master could fix it. Anything else and you'll need a short section of chain and 2 masters to splice it in. A chain press is useless without spare chain parts.
