💪 13 Days to HYROX: The Farmer’s Carry Breakdown 🚶♂️
Farmer’s carry - on paper, one of the “easier” stations, right? Well, it can be, but don’t let its simplicity fool you. Here’s the twist: running with the weights. 🏃♂️
In training, we go heavy with 32kg weights (instead of the 24kg you’ll see on race day). The idea is to make the actual race feel light and fast. But here’s where it gets tough - you’re coming off a run, you grab those kettlebells, and you’re basically doing another run with weights in hand. No rest, no stopping. It’s like turning your 1km run into 2km… with extra weight. 😅
The key? Pace. It’s tempting to go all out, but remember, you’ve got to keep some gas in the tank for the run and the next stations. Running with the kettlebells can feel like you’re not getting a break, so it’s about maintaining momentum while staying strong.
The Farmer’s Carry may seem easy, but if you’re going for time, it can sneak up on you. Stay strong, stay steady, and keep moving! 👊
Let’s crush this station! 💥

🚣♂️ 14 Days to HYROX: Row, Row, Row Your Race Efficiently! 🏃♂️
Переглядів 42 години тому
Rowing time! If you’ve ever felt like a frantic hobbit on a rowing machine (I know I have), it’s time to slow it down - literally. The key to efficient rowing is not going all out like you’re trying to break the world record, but rather finding a slower, more powerful stroke that saves you energy for the rest of the race. Here’s the deal: instead of hammering out 40 strokes a minute, try droppi...
🏃♂️ 15 Days to HYROX: Burpee Broad Jumps - Everyone’s “Favourite”! 🏋️♀️
Переглядів 104 години тому
Ah, the burpee broad jump - possibly the most dreaded station in the HYROX race. But hey, let’s make peace with it and maybe even… enjoy it? (Okay, maybe that’s a stretch!) The trick to tackling burpees is efficiency. Here’s what I’ve learned after countless sessions: stay low. No need to stand up tall after each jump - it’s a waste of energy. Keep your movement fluid and compact. When you land...
🛷 16 Days to HYROX: The Sled Pull! 💪

Time to tackle the sled pull - a station that can be a breeze if you’ve got your technique down. Just like the sled push, the key here is practice, heavier weight training, and rope management. 🎯 A few pro tips: Get into a strong stance, and focus on pulling with your arms while keeping the rope coiled neatly. Some people prefer using their whole body, but personally, I save my legs for the run...
🛷 17 Days to HYROX: Let’s Talk Sled Push! 🏋️♂️

Alright, it’s time to tackle the sled push - the station that tends to catch people off guard. The secret? Technique and training heavier than race day. 💪 First, form is key. Instead of pushing like you’re doing a shoulder press, get low, hands just above the sled base, arms tight, and let your forehead almost kiss the poles. This way, you maximize power by using your whole body to drive that s...
⛷️ 18 Days to HYROX: The SkiErg Masterplan 🎯
Переглядів 1812 годин тому
Today’s focus: the SkiErg. The first station of the day, and a station that’s all about technique, efficiency, and saving energy for what comes next. 🏃♂️ When it comes to the SkiErg, power isn’t just in brute force - it’s about finding that sweet spot in your stroke. Don’t waste energy reaching too high or bending too low; it’s that middle range that counts. Think of it as a powerful hinge at ...
👟 19 Days to HYROX: Let’s talk about Clothing for the race! 👕
Переглядів 614 годин тому
Today’s hot topic: what to wear. With just under three weeks to go, it’s time to think about your race outfit. HYROX venues are big, bustling, and… hot. Doesn’t matter if it’s snowing outside; inside, it’ll feel like a sauna with all that body heat. My tip? Choose something you’re comfortable in, and here’s the kicker - make sure you’ve trained in it. That fancy new top may look great, but race...
