Cutting These Rare Gemstones Raw to Finished, Gem Silica

Gem Silica is a rare blue green variety of chalcedony that gets its coloring from the presence of copper. Some of the nicer quality material is found in Arizona. Giving This Gemstone New Life, How I Recut This Damaged Tanzanite
Переглядів 83 тис.Рік тому
The tanzanite that I cut in this video is a recycled gemstone, which is what I call a gemstone that has been previously in jewelry, but has been taken out and is intended for use in jewelry again. This piece was too warn to make a good jewelry piece as it was, so I used my skills as a Gem Cutter to turn the old piece into a new and modern work of art worthy of being set back in fine jewelry. Переглядів 13 тис.Рік тому
I show some of the cutting process as I facet a piece of raw Oregon Sunstone with schiller. I cut the piece in close to the orange spot to help the stone finish with a nice orange color. Is amazing beautiful cutting diamond
こんにちは❗
Great video. I dont know why it was in my recommendations, but i love it.
I hope you were paid
Out of curiosity, what is something like that worth? It’s quartz, not diamond, but I assume it has value. I also assume that cutting it like that adds significantly to the value. I mean I have no idea, lol. Am I looking at $5k, $10k, $100k?
I've been watching gem videos lately, this is so cool, what great work.
👍💎💯🎯👏👏👏

Good video. Worth a like and subscribe 😁
It will look great in a very big tiara. Bravo!
Worth ?
Yikes, I'd be wearing headphones 100%. Cool though! Ever get any Montana garnets for cutting?
What is the machine you are using?
The voiceover is wasted on this utterly disgusting background music
Time taken but result beautiful
I know shit about cutting stones, but I do know you’re applying too much force into the machine, in that early stage of pre-shaping. It’s perfectly visible how much the rotor decelerates.
Very nice!
Bro’s head looks faceted
He looks just like an irish leprecone!
Thank you for this great video! If I may: I would rather have a more relaxed, "chill" music while watching. This was too much electro/dance, which does not help to focus on the mastery of the craft
What is the final worth
Would you consider doing similar videos without the music?
How do you avoid silicosis?

Ilove you 🇺🇲🧡🩶🤎🩵
Why is the value of this gemstone after cutting/polishing?
A friend of mine who does stone cutting showed your vid to me today and.... What an incredible piece and the amazing work you did to bring out its inner beauty! 🤯🤯🤯🤯 My inner magpie was completely amazed at what you did with this hunk of quartz, and my training in earth sciences kept wondering, "What the h*** is its provenance? How did a piece this big form without inclusions??" Both were wondering if there were more roughs like it as they wants the precious... Now to watch it on a larger screen 😎
Why does he look like he's always struggling
I think thats a good for a engagement ring
I have three stones that I would like cut, not sure what they are. Found them at the crater of diamonds. Might be some kind of volcanic glass
