I say this a lot on videos about Enerjak, but Enerjak is my FAVORITE Archie Sonic character/villain entirely. He is number one under the sun and everyone else comes after. This was one of my favorite story arcs and the other one being the Dark Mobius arc.

It's kind of insane how none of this was originally supposed to happen, and it's impressive that the team was able to cobble together a complete rewrite considering the circumstances. I really hoped Flynn would speak on everything regarding the original plans for the book pre-SGW, though considering the current situation with him discussing Sonic, I highly doubt it.

It’s a shame we didn’t get to explore their dynamic more, its rare to see his metal counterparts go good and Shard was so much like Sonic himself

Has anyone felt kind of uncomfortable about Archie Sonic redeeming the original Metal Sonic? I know a more game accurate Metal Sonic had been introduced, and later issues would refer to Shard as the original “Mecha Sonic”, but still, seeing the robot introduced back in issue 25 as a hero feels kind of wrong.

Alternate way shard could introduce himself:Hey guys! It's me ,the one that kidnapped you, tortured you and almost killed you.I am pretty sure y'all are happy to see me here,ah we had so many good memories together 😊

Even Shard is feeling conflict since he sees Uncle Chuck as a paternal figure towards despite it being one sided he wants to make amends and be on everyone's good side even Sonic but doesn't want to call Chuck "Gramps" in his presence not wanting to upset Sonic

I wish just that we got a archie sonic collection book, but knowing all the trouble it would cause it will never happen. Well at least I have a bunch of archie comics at home to read.

In all technicality, Shard isn’t really owned by any of the writers, being that he started out as Metal Sonic, then was modified with an arm canon, then got a paint job during Ian Flynn’s era. So there really is more of a chance for them to bring back Shard in the future than the others we lost.

That is a huge shame that shard didn't come back I really liked him not to mention he was a love interest for Nicole

I like the implication that this is set up in a way that Tails could actually succeed if he wanted to so we now know that Tails canonically has excellent aim with with a sniper rifle.

It always makes me wonder how Sonic would have reacted to Shard’s sacrifice to Metal Sonic. He was still struggling to accept him, but learning Shard was (maybe) lost trying to protect Antoine feels like it would have been interesting.

I am happy that this failure has been destroy by the real Metal Sonic and then be erased from reality by his creator Dr.Eggman. The trash has been destroyed

I’m pretty sure the literal next issue he was dismantled by metal in a petty self destruct.

I thinl the big reason Metal Shadow isn't a thing is because Metal Sonic outclasses Shadow a lot of the time, there's no need for one. The way I see it, Metal Sonic IS Metal Shadow

Ngl i wasnt a big fan of this arc tbh. The story was cool for what it meant for the larger scheme of things and all but i felt there wasn't much buildup to what Knuckle being enerjak really needes. The story itself is just 5 issues and its mostly sonic running around while enerjak gets into minor scuffles.

I would prefer he do something original. Make a new world with new characters that aren't tied down by an already existing series. It's obvious that there is certain kinds of stories with certain tropes that he likes to tell but it's always been hit or miss these character's that were designed for more fantastical child friendly stories. I don't know if it's just that he feels pressured to use these characters for one reason or another or that he's just that attached to them but it would be nice if we could see him be creative without his work being held back by this sort of thing. Also these character's clearly weren't designed with human proportions in mind so he could also make some characters that work with that style better as well.
