    In today's age I wonder how often people with electric cars will run out of power. I guess not everywhere in the US charging stations are widely available 😊

    • @NervousNessie
      @NervousNessie 29 днів тому

      In California it’s fairly easy to find charging stations. Elsewhere, not so much. People have actually made a business of putting generators in their trucks and driving to people with electric cars that have run out of power.

    Going on a longer trip where I'm at quickly means it's to another country in Europe. So any car trouble needs to be solved there. So getting your car checked out before the trip is very important and making sure the insurance covers that too. Even when a garage has checked it always check yourself. As a child I went on vacation once with a caravan. During the travel through the mountains we heard strange noises. After checking it appeared that the bolts of the wheels of the caravan were loose. Luckily we could fix it but it was quite a scare.

    Great honest review of the pack. The sternum straps and the hip belt redistribute your load more evenly to the hips and throughout your torso rather than pulling down your shoulders - useful if people like to pack out their backpack. The bag in default mode is actually 35L bag, expanded it becomes 45L and then compressed it becomes 30L. The default mode is the carry on limit of most international airlines and compressed if it not fully packed out it may (if not scrutinized) pass on your back as a personal carry if you are not carrying anything else. What is great for this pack if you mostly pack clothes are packing cubes - as stated by another comment the loops in the main compartment are for Peak Designs Camera Cube system

      Thank you. I always use packing cubes and this bag seems to hold them perfectly.

      There are hotels within walking distance to the entrance of the park. I’ve stayed at one of them before (I can’t remember which one but it was nice). The metro line (subway) is also within walking distance of the park. You can take the metro to various parts of LA. That metro line is the purple line (they are all color coded). It will take you into Hollywood, where you can check out the Hollywood walk of fame. It also runs all the way into downtown LA, where you can connect to other metro lines. For a week’s stay, I would say to check out the walk of fame, Griffith observatory, La Brea tar pits, and the Santa Monica pier. LA is too large to see everything in a week, but the places I mentioned are frequently featured in movies and tv shows, so it’s kind of cool to say you’ve been there.

    • @NervousNessie
      @NervousNessie 4 місяці тому

      Every airline has different weight limits for checked luggage and carry on luggage. The way I determine it for myself is if I can pick up the bag without any struggles. If I seem to struggle, or if I’m in doubt, I’ll weigh the bag and check what the limits are.

    I love bag reviews! And everything related to travel 😊 Lately I've become disappointed with the peak design travel backpack. It's weight when empty is too much. And when packing it, it's quite uncomfortable to wear. The straps are not good enough and the buckles don't hold the straps tight all the time. I do like that this bag has the back ventilation. At least something to not make my back sweaty instantly 😉

    • @NervousNessie
      @NervousNessie 4 місяці тому

      I hate that you’ve become disappointed with the Peak Design bag. I still love mine. I will agree with you that the bag is a bit heavy when empty. Also, the straps do become loose when you wear the bag for long periods of time. I’ve found it handy to let the straps dangle a little so that as you’re walking, you can tighten them as needed. If your straps are really loose, maybe reach out to the company and see what they suggest?

    • @maven22
      @maven22 4 місяці тому

      @@NervousNessie they are a bit in between. They are not too loose, but I adjust them while wearing them. I'm always on the look out for new bags and maybe I'll sell the peak design at some point.

      Thank you so much. Review videos are definitely coming soon. I used to have a neck pillow that I carried with me when I first started traveling. However, I quickly got rid of it. I found that it was a hassle to keep up with since they are kind of bulky. If you get one with a snap, you could hang it off your luggage, which is what I did. However, when walking through an airport, I found it catching on things as I walked. I also thought it was a little hot when I wore it. Overall, I feel like they are more of a hassle than they are worth.
