      I would think that it would hold up as a checked bag. However, if you used it as a checked bag, you might want to remove the shoulder strap and carry it with you so it doesn’t get caught on things.

    I don't prefer driving in other countries. I would rather Uber or use public transport. It's not always possible or available, so good preparation for driving in another country or big city is important. Not just depends on navigation but also study the route beforehand.

    Going on a longer trip where I'm at quickly means it's to another country in Europe. So any car trouble needs to be solved there. So getting your car checked out before the trip is very important and making sure the insurance covers that too. Even when a garage has checked it always check yourself. As a child I went on vacation once with a caravan. During the travel through the mountains we heard strange noises. After checking it appeared that the bolts of the wheels of the caravan were loose. Luckily we could fix it but it was quite a scare.

    Great honest review of the pack. The sternum straps and the hip belt redistribute your load more evenly to the hips and throughout your torso rather than pulling down your shoulders - useful if people like to pack out their backpack. The bag in default mode is actually 35L bag, expanded it becomes 45L and then compressed it becomes 30L. The default mode is the carry on limit of most international airlines and compressed if it not fully packed out it may (if not scrutinized) pass on your back as a personal carry if you are not carrying anything else. What is great for this pack if you mostly pack clothes are packing cubes - as stated by another comment the loops in the main compartment are for Peak Designs Camera Cube system

      There are hotels within walking distance to the entrance of the park. I’ve stayed at one of them before (I can’t remember which one but it was nice). The metro line (subway) is also within walking distance of the park. You can take the metro to various parts of LA. That metro line is the purple line (they are all color coded). It will take you into Hollywood, where you can check out the Hollywood walk of fame. It also runs all the way into downtown LA, where you can connect to other metro lines. For a week’s stay, I would say to check out the walk of fame, Griffith observatory, La Brea tar pits, and the Santa Monica pier. LA is too large to see everything in a week, but the places I mentioned are frequently featured in movies and tv shows, so it’s kind of cool to say you’ve been there.

    Apparently, you don’t need to consider weight at all? Even if you had unlimited room to pack everything in your house, what is the weight limit?

    • @NervousNessie
      @NervousNessie 6 місяців тому

      Every airline has different weight limits for checked luggage and carry on luggage. The way I determine it for myself is if I can pick up the bag without any struggles. If I seem to struggle, or if I’m in doubt, I’ll weigh the bag and check what the limits are.
