I’m still wondering where they’re going to put Black Prince in the museum. I don’t even know if they’d have enough room, since they’re already housing the S56, the T26, Thundersley, William Francis, Granville and the small green thing (unless they’re sending something elsewhere, which I wouldn’t mind since I’d love to see No. 87 at York again one day).

I detested the Class 43 as there was so many of them, they killed off the need for many other BR class locomotives.

Whats going to happen to the exported HST's when they fail? Scrapped? Such a waste, especially when you watch and read all of the development of this iconic train.

Exporting the old Intercity liveried ones feels illegal to me.

We were at Flowers Lane crossing so saw this just seconds before you did. Quite a sight! We nearly missed it as it was running about half an hour early. Enjoy your trip to York tomorrow.

We always got the old dross on the Norwich - London line. Whilst the GWR & LNER routes had these HSTs since the '70s, we had rattly old Mk1 carriages and Class 31s (I think) and then Mk2 carriages through the '90s, by which time the LNER route had Mk4 carriages !

Are any of these in preservation/heritage? I am no train expert. This video popped up in my feed.

They should have preserved 2 power cars with valenta engines.There would have been no shortage of spares.

Why is this route, as so many, not electrified?

how many are going and at least they're going under there own power! our uk railways are crap nowadays as we produce no loco's anymore I think the last BR loco's was the class 60s/91s in the early 1990s sadly!

What a plus, still being used instead of being scrapped 😊 Pity the same can't be said about the fastest 3rd rail trains in the world, the 442s 😢 I expect that when my beloved 159s come to their end (lovely to drive), they too will be in demand.
