I want to take the CPC exam as a van driver. Where should I start?
Hi. CPC is only a requirement for anyone wishing to drive a vehicle over 3.5t. Would this be the case?
Do you have to download it on a pc or can it be done on a iPad
Hi. I believe this can be used on an Ipad.
Hi, do you help with finding a job after passing all exams?
Hi, we have a Driver Recruitment agency but we are localised to the North West area of the country. If you live within this area then we can certainly help you out. We are based in Greater Manchester.
Great video enjoyed the information cheers 😊👍
Thanks 👍
Tried to download doesn’t work 😢
Hi, please try using drive.google.com/file/d/1ianzAAOLP5_53vxim9KPe-coH9SyeV5o/view?usp=sharing
The simulator doesn't work any more ? Im training to download
Hi, please try using drive.google.com/file/d/1ianzAAOLP5_53vxim9KPe-coH9SyeV5o/view?usp=sharing
Try a virtual machine
How does the simulator work it wouldn't work on my android tablet
Hi, Sorry for the late reply. I am not sure if it is compatible with tablets. It may be a PC only file.
Can't get the link for tachograph simulator
Hi John, The link is found in the description below the video on UA-cam.
I have a question, i have not been using my tachograph for about 2 years, because i changed jobs, i am now going back to driving, once i have renewed my card this month. My qstn is, once i getbmy new card and put it in, what will it show? The last time i pulled it out? What should i enter upon inserting the new card? I will ask them, but easier to ask anonymously here :)
Your new card will hold no record of your previous so will be brand new and start fresh. Only thing you will need to consider when inserting it for the first time is doing a manual entry to record the time you started your shift to the time you put your card in. The video explains how to do this :)
Excellent video. Nice and slow making it clear how to carry out actions. I am going to try and download simulator👍
Thanks so much! Glad you found it useful :)
@@enterprisetransporttraining hi im starting a class one work on weekends only as i work in different sectors on the week days how can i record the other work for the week days please
You didnt show the screen when u edplain air drops and bla bla pal didnt understand
Sorry, I'm not sure I understand?
I did a CPC course today I was advised I should be doing manual entry every time I put my card In I work mon - fri days I just put my card in without putting a manual details so I really have to account for my weekend off
Hi, if the tacho had the function that asks if the time that you spent between taking your card out and putting it back in is rest then you would just confirm it this way. If not then yes you are required to show a manual entry to record rest over a weekend. It is no longer "assumed" that this time is rest in the eyes of the DVSA.
@@enterprisetransporttraining great thanks for that 👍

I just passed cpc it's impossible to fail
Was it the initial Module 2 and Module 4 that you passed?
I want to become a hgv driver but I just have no idea what all the cpc stuff means.
Hi Luke, first question is what date did you pass your Car test and do you have any other category other than this?
Tacho????
You are not required to demonstrate anything to do with the Tacho on your Mod 4 test. The only thing you may want to mention is that you would check that it is calibrated by checking the calibration plate in the cab.
Tail gate,back door??
The back door does not feature on your Mod 4 walk round check list but you can mention it if you feel it necessary.
@@enterprisetransporttraining so it's basically lorry checks ,how would we not check the backdoor fuel cap or tacho is working..
What about spray suppression ie mud guards
Spray suppression does not feature on your Mod 4 walk round check list but you can mention it if you feel it necessary.
What about the window screen demister
Hi, its not necessary to demonstrate the windscreen de-mister.
Passed today! This video is one. Thanks guys!
Hi Chris, excellent news on the pass! Glad you found the video useful! :)
Brilliant mate, thank you.
No problem 👍
The card was withdrawn on the 07/11/2020 , however when it askes "when shift is beginning" @ 5:33 it's still on yesterdays date 07/11/2020 ? and wont let you change it, I have downloaded the App and it's the same on that.
Don't forget you will have to force the simulator to run the clock to 'tomorrow'. So if you set 'time speed' to max and leave it for 5-15 mins you should get it to show you another date. Just make sure you ejected the virtual card first or you'll be sitting there another few minuets.
Cheers Dan!
A joke is what it is, and a bad one at that
We aren't in the comedy game unfortunately but we do try to make our courses entertaining and informative! :)
Very helpful as I passed my driving test in 1987. So I only require periodic CPC training to drive my 7.5 tonner.
Spot on Richard! :)
best ive seen so far 🎉
Hi Dan, thanks' for the positive feedback!
You confirmed what you did at the end of your shift and for how long you did it for, also confirmed what you did at the beginning of your next shift and how long for. Where did you confirm your rest period?
This particular tachograph will work on the assumption that any period between those two recorded times is deemed as rest.
@@enterprisetransporttraining ok that’s fine, however when you do a 24hr print out it shows the rest period as ? I thought VOSA don’t want to see question marks on printouts?
Got my CPC mod4 tomorrow
Good Luck!
Got my cpc 2mrw thanks
You got this! Let us know how it goes! 👍🏻
Got my mod 4 end of the week. This video is on point no life stories. Thanks
Really glad that the video's are doing the job! Good luck for your Mod 4 test!
Thank you
You're welcome
Should I do a printout in UTC?
Ultimately what you want to do when it comes to your records is have consistency. If your tachograph gives you the option of doing a print out in local time or UTC it would be suggested that if you were staying within this country then you would do so in local time to keep consistent with your start / end times etc and if you were doing European work then you may want to use UTC as this again, keeps consistency with timings.
@@enterprisetransporttraining ok that’s great thank you for responding to me
Does no-one check engine oil and coolant levels these days? I was taught to do that first back in the 1990's
Hi, unfortunately with the technological advances of vehicles these days, oil and coolant level checks, whilst still necessary are required far less frequently.
I was taught that too, especially if you are in a different truck every day because you don't know when it was last checked. Engines are expensive, checking oil is free.
Great video! Very clear and informative, thank you very much. I've subbed and hit the bell, and in due course will look into your channel further. 👍
Thanks very much!
I used to put the bosses wallet on the brake pedal to check brake lights , worked every time .
😂
Thanks very nice and helpful

Can international applicant apply for the cpc examination?
Hi Souvik. The exam can only be taken in the UK but anybody is eligible to sit the exam.
@@enterprisetransporttraining Thanks a lot. It happens 4 times a year or 2 times?
Hi again....I can only see hgv and psv in relation to having a transport manager for EU driving, does a light commercial 3.5t operating from uk into Europe every few weeks need an external transport manager or can I continue been my own transport manager ie keeping a log, addressing defects, drivers hours etc etc....basically showing competence running one vehicle...I’m happy to pay for knowledge via training I’m Leeds based and really want to start getting organised....will the keeping of records and acting in similar manner to hgv drivers count towards been granted permission to keep going as I am or do I need to be getting trained to pass an exam? Totally confused been honest as everything I find out is from people who do not officially know it’s all ‘ my mate says this and another mate says that’ type thing
Hi Carl, sorry for such a late reply to your comment. As per the video the Operator Licencing scheme was amended as of May this year (2022) to now include light goods vehicles between 2.5 tonne and up to and including 3.5 tonne. If you have a vehicle of this size that you use internationally for hire and reward then you will be required to obtain a Standard International Operator Licence and therefor you will require a qualified Transport Manager in place. Again as per the video there is a grace period but you will need to ascertain whether you fall in to this criteria and the Traffic Commissioner for your traffic area would need to be notified of such. If you wish to continue as Transport Manager after this point then yes you would be required to pass the relevant exams and gain the qualification which we could definitely help you with :) just give the office a call to discuss your options or head over to www.enterprisetransporttraining.com
@@enterprisetransporttraining thank you
Hi, I am operating in the uk and Europe, I have the o license and I am my manager but I’ll be honest I’m a bit in the dark with it all and need some advice....I started a logbook on last trip to Spain although the logbook I got online does not mention mileages bizarrely but I did jot down drivers hours and breaks, noted the two new tyres fitted in Spain, no defects to report etc Can you possibly guide me to advice? I’m concerned about the transport manager issue in 2 years time as no way can I afford that I’m a one man and a van so is passing the exam my only option? ....as you can see I’m struggling....cheers
Hi Carl, please see reply to your other comment. :)
@@enterprisetransporttraining thank you ...

Yes u do have to reverse the truck but tricky
Hi Rashid. Thanks for the feedback :)
So Brexit has increased paperwork, expenses, all the things it was meant to be reducing?
Hi Adam, unfortunately Brexit has complicated the issue on many things transport related.
@@enterprisetransporttraining oh I know. Just the gift that keeps on taking.
Do I need to reverse the truck on the test?
It is unlikely that the examiner would require you to actually move the vehicle. They are more likely to ask, "what would you do?" In which case you would explain each point that is set out in the video.
Hi, I am a bit confused. I had 40 marks on P1 Multi-choice exam and fail... Please tell me they made a mistake with mine and I have got the qualification. Thank you.
Hi Kristof. This video is for the Passenger Transport exam and I believe you are a Road Haulage Candidate in which case the pass mark was slightly higher.
Actually you got in the cab wrong I think. You should throw your paperwork onto the driver's seat, climb up, then with both feet and one hand holding you throw the paperwork/clipboard onto the centre console, then get in the driver's seat I reckon.
Haha yes maybe! Lets just say that the 3 points of contact is the main thing. If you stand on your paperwork, so be it :)
