I was 22 so I had lived through all of the losses and the great wins like The Drive and the win against the Oilers in the playoffs. I had also lived through the losses, and I watched every play, I don't give up on my team. This was a great season, I had a smile on my face for weeks. World Champs!!

I remember this injury wracked season, they had high hopes going into it but way too many injuries wrecked it. And they had a last second game winning field goal blocked at Miami in their last game if I recall correctly which would've at least eeked out a 7-7 season.

The 49ers Dynasty was the best in the SB years. It was an open secret the 70s steelers were on PEDs. No teams could match the 49ers until belicheat and the cheatriots won many SBs in the 21st century. But belicheat and his cheatriots were caught cheating many times. God knows what else the New England cheatriots did without being caught. Bill Walsh, Joe Montana, Ronnie Lott, Eric Wright, Dwight Hicks, etc. were the people behind the success of the 49ers. However, they were not the one major factor why the 49ers became the greatest football team in the Super Bowl Era. That one major factor belongs to the one and only one man, Eddie Debartolo.

You could see that the 49ers were for real when they destroyed the Cowboys in the regular season. It sure as hell got the rest of the league to perk their ears up. After being the pushover in the division for almost 10 years and now the 49ers rise like the Phoenix. That season plus the NFC Championship changed the course for two teams. The 49ers who became the team of the 80's and the Cowboys that would decline hitting rock bottom in 1989 going 1-15.

At 10:00 and 20:30 number 15 on the Giants is Craig Morton throwing those interceptions! The next year he was on Denver and made it to the Super Bowl.

When is Volume 3 Coming out? Asking for a Friend Washington vs Houston should be included from the 1991 or 1992 Season.

So disappointing that the Niners haven’t added a ring in 30 years. So glad they were the first to 5 rings.

Think about the complete domination they had this season and it ridiculous they aren’t #1 all time. They didn’t lose the SB and didn’t need a massive trade to make ppl think they were dominant. Beat offense AND defense.

The disrespect for Seifert is maddening to me. Even today, nobody talks about what a great coach he was. He crafted the #1 defense in league by 1984 and they were THE difference in this SB XVI win. They were #2 in 1982. 5 rings for Seifert. Most by anyone in SF history and anyone who says that the 1989 team wasn’t his doesn’t realize that that’s not true. They were.. Half of the team was under his direct control for literally a decade. All the love in the world for Bill but he wasn’t alone in rebuilding this team.
