Now that you work in hospitality, has your perspective on travel, or on hotel staff, changed? It sounds like you really appreciated the second hotel's staff. Haha when I saw the picture of the beach right away I was like, "oh that's the beach that burnt poor Matt to a crisp." This was very cool, seeing these pictures with your commentary. Hey man. Caught up on the Bali/Girl saga now. Sounds like you dodged a bullet. Found myself in a situation recently in which a girl was enticing me into making big life moves for her while also raising alot of red flags. I acted on my intuition and those red flags. Better safe than sorry. “A new bus comes every 15 minutes” anyways.

People come and go. Selfish at the expense of others. Let it be. Enjoy is as a self vacation. Relax.

Matt, I hate to say I told you so…so I won’t. You need to get your shit together because right now you seem to be yearning for purpose and direction. So, when you get home, take out a piece of paper and put down some goals for the next 3, 6, 12 months and then them in 5 and 10 yrs. Save your money and suck it up and do staycations for the next 3-4yrs. Brother, if you don’t sacrifice now you will never get anywhere in life. Get it done!

I beat an awful and massive sunburn in a day. What I did was drink a massive amount of water, like large refillable bottle or two and hour. I used electrolytes as well. I also applied aloe Vera gel every thirty minutes to an hour. It felt like overkill but then I slept like 10 hours and it was a tan the next day

It’s not just you. I too have made the mistake of trusting the sun when there was some cloud cover and paying the price. I don’t have advice, but I know that you will figure out what to next and you’ll figure out what you need in your work and life. You are good at taking care of yourself. My son takes an art class and weekly drum lesson online from two different Canadians (we’re in the US). It’s through Outschool, and there’s all kinds of tutoring on that platform-that ones specifically for kids, but yeah I think here’s a big market for online instruction actually for some topics, and of course it’s not just that you can be remote but that your potential pool of students is bigger due to not having borders. Anyway take care, hope that sunburn is a distant memory soon.

What's up Matt, great vid. I appreciate how real you are for all of us. I got my worst sunburn after playing beach volleyball all day in Mexico. I DID use sunscreen, and still could barely move it hurt so bad haha. I relate a lot with the needing a new direction. I just recently left a relationship of almost 3 years, so I needed to throw the "we" plans out 😅 I am now working to find my own rhythm/habits again. Been working crazy hours at UPS since it's Christmas time, which is helpful for the money side of things lol... I'm hoping to be back to making videos myself very soon. I miss the ASMR community!

Good video Matt. Good luck with the recovery of your sun burn. When you get back to Canada you should do a spending breakdown of what you spent your money on during your vacation. It would be informative due to vacationing being so expensive nowadays.

Need to research a couple career options that youre interested in, research the market for those jobs, pay, sustainability, etc, then find a way to do online classes, or some certification, etc. And just make a career change. Then the house, the car, the girlfriend, the kids follow all of that. Life is too short to settle for anything less than you deserve. Change is often times good

man I hate sunburn, even when I was regularly applying sun cream over summer in Asia I still got burnt. Get some aloe vera and keep out the sun!

When I got a severe sunburn in Bermuda I went to a spa and got the milk bath treatment and it helped tremendously, they basically just rub you down with this milk bath lotion until your skin absorbs all of it. You should see if there any spas nearby that offer sunburn treatment, it can help you relax too!

Enjoy the last few days of your vacay-cay and think about all this stuff when you get back man. Sunburn/woman issues aside I hope you’ve had a blast man, safe travels home!👍
