I just want to say that I have several from the 4000 to 10,000. caught a trout to tarpon with them and they are better than the 800 reals from other companies

The "CC" or "click check" anti-reverse drag system is lightweight maybe, .....durable, I think not! Mine was a month old when the click check fell out of the reel in pieces. I sent it back to Hardy, actually it was the reel repair company they specified which is in Iowa and they just sent me an entirely new reel. They didn't even take the time to swap out the broken part. I guess that's what you should expect when the product is made in Korea! A long way from Alnwick England. If I were you T-Bone I'd send it back to the address listed for warranty repair and see what happens.

hi, i received a 4000 yesterday but the oil handle post sounds bad, he's new but can i wash it by myself without hurt the warranty ?

I've got my own small collection of great Meindl boots, and shoes, because not every season is the same ofcourse. Very happy with them, amazing quality! And now that i seen this small video, i now why they are such good boots. Great philosophy behind it.
