I really love what you did here, but you missed a really important part, madara had planted a heart seal on him, which makes it impossible for him to defy the eye of the moon plan or kill himself, so yeah all that would probably never happen the only time obito went back to the old obito is after he got rid of the heart seal only then narutos talk no jutsu worked on him, he probably thought that he went way too far to go back even though he got rid of the heart seal, only after narutos talk no jutsu he starts to truly understand that he did not wanted the eye of the moon plan. the heartseal dose not outright controls the person that has it, but it seems to be having very strong affects on the person without them noticing, like lets be honest obito was a bit of crybaby then he becomes one of the most brutal characters maybe only second to orchimaru, people forget that obito also had lab and probbly knows some shit about med ninjutsu and stuff. obito is a really cool character I think the more I research about his lore the more I understand his character better.

Eyes of Heaven disproves this theory. To achieve heaven, you gotta do certain things for your stand to evolve. Jotaro achieves heaven by seeing The World Over Heaven, but belief alone doesn't achieve heaven

04:32 there is also Jotaro's anger. Righteous anger is part of justice. And paraphrasing Emporio "walking the path of fate/faith is true justice". Jotaro walks that path and it offsets / counters Dio's power.

My theory for why Araki chose the same ability for Jotaro and Dio is because this fight is more deeper than just two guys punching each other till death, but rather fight between ultimate force of good and evil. Dio lost because he was focused on himself and the fact that his pride and ego were damaged because some random 17 year old kid was able to match him. He became angry and lost his cool leading him to his death. On the other hand Jotaro's only goal was to kill Dio to save his mom, he didnt think about himself, his goal is heroic. Anger Dio caused him only boosted his will to kill him. His anger was caused by death of his friends and was selfless.

Theres many examples of similar stands, especially if the users share a blood relation. Even within the same part we say that the darby brothers had nearly identical stand abilities. Jotaros star platinum could always stop time, he just hadn't had enough time to discover this ability and mainly relied his stands speed and power in fights, while dio focused more on training his time stop over his other abilities.

My head-cannon Is that Time stop isn't The Worlds true power, Its Star Platinum's power. What The World *can* do is this: Copy the power of any of the Joestars stands. Dio has always taken everything from the Joestars, so why would abilities be out of the question? Its why he can use Hermit Purple as well. If Josuke where there somehow, he would be able to restore as well. Dio (In spite of his name.) Has always been a similar character to Lucifer if you ask me, and Lucifer infamously can only produce inferior copies of Gods works. Same situation here.

Stands are based off the users fighting Spirit and it's showing very well, that that spirit is heavily linked to their talents and passions as well as their nature as a person. If you ask me, I think Jotaro and DIO just have the same kind of stand because they are similar people on some really deep level deeper than their moral selves or their presentation first off, both DIO and Jotaro are extremely analytical, both have anger issues, both are fast thinkers (which I honestly think is probably the biggest key to this, thinking so fast through a situation that's almost like time stops and that second limitation is ultimately how much you can thank yourself through that situation In a mere flash of a moment which is the stopped time. The stand ability pretty much just gives the agency within that flash itself, but as fast thinkers Jotaro didn't need it that much before, but what if he does think he has used it multiple times before, without even realizing it if only mostly to think through the situation.) also, it's kind of implied that Jotaro probably has a bad relationship with his father in the same way DIO did, DIO also shows resentment towards his father for how he treated his mother showing Dio was abit a mamas boy, and Jotaro literally killed DIO for his mom so kinda makes sense.

i know mary sue has become the most obnoxious watered down term since forever but kasumi's inclusion in this game (at least before the 3rd semester) really does feel like when a 13 y/o on wattpad makes a fanfiction with their insert and they recontextualize moments in the story for (like sae's palace, i really don't believe there was any good reason to put her there other than so people can get a sneak peak of the different content in royal early) their nice, sweet, nice, and nice OC (can not overstate how nice and sweet she is). she at least has a really interesting role in 3rd semester but man she's just so annoyingly artificial before that, which i guess is the point but the facade isn't fun.

I want to point out that Diego Brando was able to use The World to stop time for 5 seconds whereas Jotaro was limited to 2 to 5 seconds depending on his physical condition. The implication here is that Star Platinum has a weaker time stop than The World.

I have very mixed feelings about Sumire's execution in the game. She has the makings of a good character, but the way the game utilised her seems underwhelming to me. She didn't have to be in Sae's palace, Joker managed just fine in the original game. Another thing I would've found her awakening to be much more impactful if it had been against Maruki during the 3rd semester.

As it seems that stands really don’t care if you are fully developed, we see that even when kids have stands, they reflect what they’ll be later in life. Which doesn’t make sense personality wise but considering how fate and destiny are so integral to JoJo, it makes sense. So DIO can stop time cause he was stuck at the bottom of the ocean for a hundred years. For him time stopped for him and him alone, he was alone. In his own little world. When he emerged, he was a man out of time, but still with that god complex for him to rule the world, have total control. Do as he pleases, have nothing to fear. No one can move against him. He’s also a vampire, so in a way he’s timeless. He’s a man stuck in the past, and the future, and toys with the present moment. So he can stop time with The World. Jotaro was a seventeen year old kid who’s whole world got turned upside down, his mothers life was put in danger, he met his grandfather for the first time, he felt like he was possessed by an evil spirit, he had to go on a 50 day journey across the world to fight a vampire and kill him, while under constant attack, made the best friends he’s ever had, and wasn’t there to see most of them die. He was constantly against the clock, racing and rushing. And after all that he would forever remember that, be stuck in those 50 days in his head, haunting him. Wishing he’d had more time with them, wishing he could be everywhere at once move freely around the world, keep it safe. To have no fear of all the threats that lurk. To no longer get jumped and attacked. To have enough time to fix everything. He also wanted to keep the world out of DIOs hands, to remove his control and stain. So Star Platinum The World, can stop time. Of course, neither got everything they wanted, DIOs world got invaded and torn asunder, him along with it. Jotaro could only stop time, and quickly intervene, not rewind it. So long story short, Jotaro being able to stop time = fitting.
