I was only here to tell you to try Cafe Cubanos (also called Coladas) with that Cafe Bustello. You're welcome. But while I am here... the biggest differences I've noticed over the years in pickups are in articulation (maybe you'd call this response or feel?) and amplifier interaction. I know Glenn generally does the whole clickbait blowhard thing but he's mostly right on this, and he has also published great videos on speaker/enclosure choice and mic placement which are valuable lessons for any recording engineer. When you step out of his world of milquetoast modern metal with ultra high gain amps, chugging power cords into a dense mix where percussiveness is probably more important than tonality, then his whole "only one of the transducers in this two-transducer system makes a difference, you rubes" schtick falls apart pretty quickly. Regardless, thanks for this demonstration.

Fits in line with everything I hear on my own, when playing, and what Glenn Fricker shouts from the rooftops: The moment you add distortion, any individual character is pretty much gone. In fact, I only heard a difference in distorted tone when switching between the fixed bridges, and the Floyd-equipped guitars. My hypothesis is that the springs and floating nature of the bridge make more of a tonal difference than the pickups, for anything high-gain.

I put these on my Leo Jaymz Monsoon. They look and lock well. For the price they are adequate and do the job. No mods they dropped right in. My headstock is reversed so i needed left handed tuners.

Here's what you do. You in take your tuner and clamp it on your headstock. You hit "A" 440 open and then you follow through the rest of the strings on the fifth fret and tune with the machinehead buttons manually! Then you tweak to ear for touch-up if you need it. Next ,you throw out those lousy fucking lock machineheads you just bought because they are lousy gimmicks and your guitar won't tune any better! It's another shitty piece of gear to waste money on!

I have a set of Guyker's on my Epi Les Paul. They seem to be just as good as any other locking tuners I've used, and Ive used most of them. For under $30 it's a no brainer.

Use wax on the screws, I have an old candle that the wick burnt up faster than the candle so basically a jar of wax that I scratch the screw through before screwing in.

I managed to get a white Ouija and had to fret level and EMG also scolloped while the string's were Off then 😂 got myself a keeper

fr .... we in germany have a real problem getting these kind of CHESP's or CHIBSON's .... cause the customs check these guitars If they find out that this is a Copy they throw it away any you're getting a complaint....

Years ago, I got a ken lawrence copy. I asked them not to put anything on the headstock, and they agreed, so it's not a forgery. It's beautiful, and since I got it I've added real EMG pickups and Graphtech Ratio tuners (which I freaking love!) and it's one of the most stable and enjoyable and beautiful guitars I own. Only problem is it weighs 14 pounds...

I got the ett FUk guitar and took the emg copy pickups out and put emgs in! I had to some HEAVY neck work!

It still sounds pretty good, but it feels like i can almost hear a bit of how cheap it is? it could totally just be my brain playing tricks tho :)

Can you give me the knob numbers of the best tone you could get out of it? I just bought the amp for like 300 bucks in mint condition and everything works lol But im still trying to learn it and look for that sweet spot. I have the el34 tubes but was thinking of getting the 6l6 to bias it. Also whtat brand of 6l6 you bought for it ? I ask because i have some new mesa boogie 6l6 but i dont know if i can use them on this or not. Mesa/Boogie 6L6 Power Tubes - Matched Duet, if they do let me know because it would suck to get another pair u know how pricey this is lol

Great vid! It will stay in tune perfectly.....until you bend a note. There is stored tension between the nut and tuners and the saddles/string end. When you bend, string will go out of tune. There are ways to avoid this though.

Yeah the fruda method. Tune after dropping the bar and every time you drop the bar it's back in tune. Problem, as you know is that now it goes out when you bend strings so every time you bend you got to drop the bar or you are horribly out of tune.

The microstack in the back is the bar all other amps must measure up to. The Marshall Microstack is the stuff legends are made if. We're talking funky pup status!

Must be getting rediscovered because these amps are getting harder to find for that kind of price.
