Removing a pine tree leaning towards a house
This was an interesting one. It had a lot of fluff on it, so it was difficult to assess from the ground, but as I got into it I realized that it would be a breeze. Just rigged a few limbs down and then tied into the neighboring tree for the top and following decent.

A weird twisting sweetgum
Переглядів 2 тис.14 годин тому
This was the first tree of the day, and while not massive, it spiraled and twisted all the way up. We rigged a few pieces that I didn't think would miss hitting stuff under it, and then I sent the top perfectly through a gap in the neighboring trees.
Three trees for the effort of one
Переглядів 2,1 тис.День тому
This sweet gum was a nice and easy one. While I did have to rig a few pieces, most of it was just bombing out to the ground crew. After I brushed it out I remained tied into the middle trunk as I chunked down the trunks.
Climbing a comprised pine
Переглядів 2,6 тис.День тому
This pine was from the same job as when we removed a number of trees next to a driveway. The homeowner wanted this pine removed not just to expand the driveway but also because it had a fairly large wound that hadn't healed. While we did get it down safely, when I was above the bad spot, I was worried that it could potentially fail if I took either too big of a top or swang a branch too violently.

This was a pretty straightforward pine, the only real obstacles were the driveway below and on the far side there was a power line. As you can see we had it down in no time.

These 3 pines were in the way of the customers new shed. While they were mostly straightforward, the second one was dead which was a slight challenge. Overall they went pretty smooth, and at the end of the day we didn't break anything.
Emergency work after Hurricane Helene (Day 2)
Переглядів 4,3 тис.21 день тому
This house had a number of trees on it as a result of Hurricane Helene. Given that we were the only company in the area that had a knuckle-boom crane, we were the only ones who where able to do this job. The crane operator and I decided that it was safer for me to ride out the pieces as opposed to tying into them. This was because the trees had already failed, and I didn't want to risk tying in...

My first job with a crane.!!!!!!!!
Переглядів 2,4 тис.Місяць тому
This was the first big job that I had a crane come out for. We had two trees a dead sweet gum and a dying oak. The crane was able to get both of the trees from a single setup point, and aside from a few pieces of wood, I was able to chip everything. I hope you guys enjoyed, and if you are in the hampton roads area and need tree work, please feel free to give me a call.
Bombing out everything, except for the wildlife...
Переглядів 2,8 тис.Місяць тому
This maple had a pretty large lead tear out about a month prior to us removing it. That and the double trunk scared the homeowner enough that he wanted it removed. I was able to bomb most of it, which made for a nice fun and easy tree.
Threatened pine needs to be removed
Переглядів 2,5 тис.Місяць тому
This pine was extremely close to the water. So close that the rip-rap that was protecting the shore was all around the base of the tree. The original plane was to bomb the limbs and then just rig a top, but as I went up I realized that some of them I wasn't able to control and needed to be rigged.
SKETCHY hollow 90' poplar
Переглядів 3,4 тис.Місяць тому
This poplar wasn't originally supposed to come out, but when we looked at the base of the tree on the backside, it was clear that it needed to. There was not just missing root flare but a hole that we could put our entire arms in. While it was an east tree in the bottom half, the top half was very doglegged, and to add to things the wid had begun to pick up.
Removing a MASSIVE oak for a friend (Part 2)
Переглядів 4,6 тис.Місяць тому
This was pretty big oak, especially given that it was in a very small drop zone. The branches went out of 3 separate backyards, so I had to get a little tricky with some of the lower ringing, but we were able to get it done.

Would you be so kind and share what state your in…south-east I gather…which pine is it - I am amazed how different they are…I work in diff states-Cali, Colorado, Illinois and Michigan- they all hinge a bit different no matter how similar they are. My fav thing to do if it gets pinchy…piece of bark(I know you have done it) love your rhythm or cadence and the no ego, no wordy bullshit…just get it done attitude.

I was a window cleaner for 20 years before i was hit head on by a drunk driver and crippled for life. I would have loved to get involved in something like this when i was a bit less crippled. 😬 nice work.
