BEGINNER VIOLIN REVIEW // Fesley Music Instruments
Thank you to Fesley Music for sending me this instrument! I did my best to give it an honest review. In this video, I unbox the instrument and play a little bit to test out the tone and sound. Overall, I was very pleased with this instrument and would recommend it to especially adult beginners who are eager to get playing. I hope you enjoyed the video!

It finally helped me getting strength in my 3rd and fourth finger which I was getting so desperate about, it will be exciting to see if it can help me develop my vibrato, but I get the feeling that it will do so! From my observation, your demonstration of a thicker, more heavy arm vibrato was in fact a Wider use of wrist vibrato. It was NOT an execution of using the arm vibrato technique.

    • @SophieCViolin
      @SophieCViolin 5 днів тому

      Thank you for pointing this out, I have realized this and grown since I made this video years ago. It is true that this demonstration is flawed. I only keep it up because people continue to say that this video was helpful. I hope you can find better demonstration for arm vibrato elsewhere!

    I have tried playing this piece not anywhere near that speed. I think we listen too much how the top players play it, and this creates bad habits. In my view forget the presto play it rhythmically dotted as slowly as barrable, it will sound like another piece. I think it sounds far better played on the guitar as it has a wavy rhythm which is very difficult to emulate on the violin. It may be easier on a baroque violin with baroque bow, as strings are closer together and is more resonant than the modern violin.

    In the lifting exercise do you check for intonation or is it just about the feeling of lifting those three fingers on the same height? I can only do this in tune if I play third finger in the high position, are there exercises on dropping three or four fingers in tune when third finger is close to the second one? Like on an A string it's B C# D E, and I can only drop like B C# D# E. Thank you for you content! 🙂

    • @SophieCViolin
      @SophieCViolin 14 днів тому

    Hello, im new to this channel, and I was going to say I'm 25 years old doing my Physics Major undergraduate as a senior with some semesters left to go, I have done double major for some time with Physics Bachelors and was accepted to community college Music associates as well I guess to add on, then I transferred to another university to finish my bachelors degrees or Physics bachelors only is fine, and was hoping to double major Physics and Music at the same time. I am a Physics Major and Music Minor, but then I still audition to try to see if I can do Double Major or pursue a second bachelors in the future after Physics PhD. This idea might widen some perspectives for those wondering about that too. I hope I can do Music Major as well for pursuit of knowledge and gain more insight as I practice violin. I recently got back to lessons on campus and was part of the university orchestra as well and learned so much more. Well I guess it was a question that came out as an idea instead of a question. Anyways, have a good one.
