While in Moab must see TrailMater
Went to Moab with some friends. Came down from Wyoming I-25 to Denver and then I-70 to Grand Junction and then south and then West across the LaSal mountains and into moab from the south, so I happened to see Rory's new location out South of Moab and had to video the notorious lineup. Those crazy guys and their videos make me chuckle. Good medicine!

just seems like everyday I find out there's another use for the mini skid steer I probably haven't had it two months but seems like I put a good hour or two on it each day and it's just so handy to have. it's getting the riding mower ready to go for another year of mowing and it had a flat tire and a dead battery and rather than having to drag all the stuff out to the mower since it weighs abou...
EASY Mini Skid Steer Lifting Boom
Переглядів 952 місяці тому
Everyday I'm finding more uses for the Chinese yk450 mini skid steer. I had to move a heavy air compressor by myself so I decided to just host it with the mini skidder, but needed a lifting boom, so i found an old receiver hitch off a junk vehicle and it fit into the pin hole receiver of the trailer moving attachment. It make a handy and versatile lifting point. I'm guessing it will lift around...

      I went down to 12 but made sure I didn't turn unless i was moving. The lower, the better on sand like that. I've been as low as 10 but debeaded right front when i dropped off a foot and a half tall sandy ledge at lake McConaughy. Another not so desirable problem that happens when playing in deep sand is that sometimes you end up with sand imbedded in the tire bead that, in time, especially if you haul heavy stuff occasionally, will chew up your aluminum wheel lip when the tire makes it's natural compressive shape changes with every rotation.

      I usually run 37 12.5 R17 Milestar Patagonia. And the barely rub. However, this last set, running in this video are the 38 13.5 R17 Patagonias. Rub a little harder on the radius arms when turning, and just tickle the front of the rear when flares when stuffed.

    • @TX_Patriot
      @TX_Patriot 3 місяці тому

      @bobvincent4841 thank you Sir. Do you think a new 2024 PW with 35's could do most of the trails you do? I'm sure with a little more scraping.

    • @bobvincent4841
      @bobvincent4841 3 місяці тому

      @TX_Patriot 35s will do most of Moab. But rock sliders should be considered mandatory. 37s just make it easy. And the new trucks with the 8 speed can handle towing and crawling with 37s with ease. I recommend installing a pulsar so you can set your own tire size and keep tranny happy and your speedo telling the truth.

    • @TX_Patriot
      @TX_Patriot 3 місяці тому

      The only thing holding me back on the 37's is rubbing, but honestly, I'll being doing most of my crawling with my Jeep. Thanks for the Intel on the Pulsar! I installed a JL Mini on my Jeep for tire size and gears. Definitely a must have!

I was able to locate my pump with 100% confidence and measured things so that i cut correctly and you can too. Whether your pump is in the same location or not, it will look like mine in the video so visualize the top of my pump a for when you are reaching up and feeling around for yours. Good luck!

    Bob! This is EXACTLY what I need to do to my H12. Just got it today and want to change to JD pattern like my backhoe. I understand the concept of what you did but you didn’t SHOW EXACTLY which lines were switched and where on the valves! Noobs like me need to actually SEE what you did step by step so we don’t mess anything up. I wish you had showed EXACTLY which lines were swapped and WHERE they were reconnected to…….

    • @bobvincent4841
      @bobvincent4841 8 місяців тому

      I'm glad this will help you. So i thought there may be a possibility that each variation of machine could have lines ran differently so i kept it brief but the main thing to do is this: Follow the two hydraulic lines coming from each of those two main cylinders, 4 lines in all, then mark them where they are with a zip tie or magic Marker and take a picture of it as it is. Then switch both top lines. Then finally switch both bottom lines with each other. Then tighten all 4 hose connections, screw the 2 main control sticks back in a few rounds, fire it up, and carefully test the operation making sure you are clear and safe. The hydraulic lines are really easy to see and to trace. Hope this helps.

    • @MasuryInsaneAsylum
      @MasuryInsaneAsylum 8 місяців тому

      Ok! I think I got exactly what you mean now. That did help clarify it in my mind for me and I appreciate the response! I will take it apart tomorrow and trace those lines. The top lines stay the top lines and the bottom lines stay in the bottom positions just changing the valves then. Pretty sure I can figure that out now. 👍

    • @bobvincent4841
      @bobvincent4841 8 місяців тому

      @@MasuryInsaneAsylum close, i DID NOT move any valves. I did unscrew and move 4 hoses, 2 from this side, and 2 from that other side, just swapped them around. They were a little fun to fish through all the other hoses but not difficult at all. Good luck.

    • @MasuryInsaneAsylum
      @MasuryInsaneAsylum 8 місяців тому

      Yup! I figured out what you did Bob. That wasn’t hard at all. Third over from right side hoses get swapped with second from the left. Got it! Now it matches my backhoe and much easier for me to run. Thanks for the video!

      I am. Not at first. Took a while. Heard all the typical lies about them and besides that, I'm a suspicious, skeptical, maybe pessimistic guy. Wasn't till i was losing my mom to cancer that I wanted to know why we suffer, why we die, and where we're headed. I've been up most churches, got the same answers. You need to have faith, or God works in mysterious ways etc. So the JW just came to my door and I was going to argue with them, but they patiently put up with me and answered all my questions from the Bible one by one. Of course it took some time do you see a bunch of puzzle pieces put together make the entire picture clear but my questions were answered. and more than that I learned that God is going to take care of everything Amazon due time and these Bible truths I learned have set me Free from bitterness worried or anxiety. Anyway you just asked a simple question I probably should have said yes but I thought you should know more.

      Hey Dan!. Ya had a little fun out here last couple days. Had to get out and go right back home as I'm sure busy with work this time of year, but was having wheeling withdrawals. It was fun, though, sure was a lot more fun when we all ran it together. I saw a few jeeps and a bunch of razors. I met no other full size running round out there last couple days. For mid July, i would've expected Moab to be busier . Just didn't seem as busy as the other times I've been here, it's weird.... On s positive note, i ran into Rory Irish, the Trail Mater guy while he was heading out of Hells with a broken jeep. That was cool 😎. Tried to film the encounter but this prize winner, this knucklehead, forgot to remove the camera lens cover! Only got the audio! Dur!!! Duh! 🙄

    I always cut the box even before I need to replace the pump. If the truck craps out on the road ,I can replace the pump and save the tow and a big bill at the shop. And you are right the truck should have a panel over the pump from the factory.

    These things are a pain in the A$$!!! Somehow the window came out on our excavator when I opened it. I got it back in but destroyed that dang rubber trying to fish it back in there. What a dumb design

    Thanks for the Video! No need for any inline fuses? Also where did you bring power from for the switches?

      I ended up putting power to each locker from a wireless controller that i mounted in the engine compartment. I did install a fuse for the controller. I got the 4 accessory controller from Amazon. It was something like 40 bucks.
