I think you're going to love the new log cabin. Interestingly, we sold the Shottages and also bought a log cabin (1 year ago)! We just spent this whole summer putting up tongue & groove on all of the unfinished interior walls. I can't wait to see the transformation on your new place and see if there are any tricks you use that we might also use. Hopefully, you'll also be able to show us some of your fishing adventures when you get there! I'm definitely going to keep following the adventures. Cheers...Bill.

If you're moving heavy items get a couple of 2" steel pipes couple of feet long and roll the item around. Or pieces of oak or maple trees that are perfectly round

Wait until you move to your new cabin, with all the log spaces mice will have a party. My grandpa on his log cabin put thick felt strips on both sides of the log cracks in and outside and put quarter round pine moulding on it. Lasted 98 years without replacing. He also put electric lines along the cracks before the felting. I have a Yodel stove too, it runs me out of the home on cold days, but when below zero, it heats my 1200 sq ft home well being centered in the building. Good luck!

It is an old deer camp build with logs and bush road only. If you want it than set a price because it will cost alot of money so give a price to want you want to pay and if you get it than it was meant to be.

Why don’t you get some heavy plastic cover the cooking area and you can leave the windows out for cooking
