I’m a tile installer and I was curious if you could answer a few questions about this stuff. The work looks great but I’m curious how often you reseal it with the soap to uphold the waterproofing of the final coat? When I’m installing natural stone the sealer I use says it last about a year but I often see it stop working much sooner. Also, how easy is it clean? I would imagine it is quite porous. Does it get harder to clean as the soap sealer wears off or does the soap sealer give it a smoother texture allowing it to be wiped off like a semi gloss paint would?

Only 1 coat of micro? Wow. Usually you have 2 base coats of course sanding inbetween each, then 2 coats of fine or medium sanding inbetween each, then 2-3 sealers. And if your on wood you should have put down a fiber mech into the primer coat.

putting polyurethane over everything is pretty wild. Regulatory concerns: Many food safety regulations discourage or prohibit the use of polyurethane coatings on surfaces that directly contact food. It seems like they give both a very similar look/feel, but its hard to tell over video. Would you agree? Any benefits to either? It seemed like the microcement was a lot easier.

well it's normal that the cement pushes upwards you had to fill the internal bucket with sand and then a little boiling water to remove the vase

How’s the floor holding up now that 3 years has passed. I got some microtek one coat, and tested it on a very small area, and after 24 hours I can still make an indentation on the surface with my finger nail, is this normal? I only tested it a small amount of powder and mixed it in a container, not sure if proper mixing would affect the hardness though…any idea?

Probably worth mentioning for other people watching this - the "magic trowel" or "squeegee" shouldn't be used to apply the product - you're making the job more difficult for yourself by doing this and you'll get a faster and more homogenous application with a stainless steel trowel. The "magic trowel" is designed for use after application - to smooth out the trowel lines.

You need a good troll just like you need a good paint brush you need a good troll that's broke in a taping knife has an arch in it to fill the joint so you don't want to use one of those
