    Thanks for sharing your process. I really like your border color choice, it makes the center piece of your artwork stand out. I recently watched a webinar with JA Digitizing on puff embroidery and he said his preferred density for puff was .18mm. Keep up the hard work, I appreciate it.

    Have you used the 8 in 1 hoop before? I works pretty good on the sides and back of hat. Instead of regular stabilizer. Youre using sticky back stabilizer so it holds the material in place. Or if you want you can float the material. So basically no hooping is involved.

    • @tkstitch

      Yeaaa I have seen it, seen people even embroider shoes with it. You'd be avoiding the hoop burn too

    Your design stitched out Great! Especially your small lettering on the baseline of the hat. That would definitely cause problems on a Richardson 112. I have seen that 5mm is generally the smallest for words to be legible. Take an “E” for example, you will need 1 mm for the top bar, 1mm for the gap, 1mm for the center bar, 1mm for the lower gap, and 1mm for the lower bar. Keep up the hard work.

    I like seeing the stitch out, it looked like you used an edge run with double zigzag on the front name. I embroidered some beach towels the other day and I used the same amount of underlay to get the embroidery to stay on top of the fibers. I chose not to use a topper, because it was for myself and I didn’t want to have to pick it out. Keep up the hard work!

    • @tkstitch
      @tkstitch 28 днів тому

      Honestly I didn't think twice about the underlay, which I should've but luckily it worked. I do have issues sometimes with towels and stuff where the underlay does stick out and it's annoying. The Solvy is a bit of a hassle, even if you wet it, it kinda just stick to the fibers more.

    • @sunrisetacticalgear2676
      @sunrisetacticalgear2676 28 днів тому

      @@tkstitch on Hatch in your underlay settings, below your second underlay option, you can select “narrow” . I think there are 3 options including normal that will move your underlay in. On small letters I normally use a center run only and shorten the stitch length to around 1 mm to keep it from popping out on the curves of the letters.

I have seen people try .15 but they had a bunch of thread breaks. Just an FYI. I watch Erich Campbell on Friday afternoons, he is an embroidery wizard, and shares a lot of his knowledge. @@tkstitch thanks, was just curious. I don't know how to price things that well yet. Did you do that thing about how many stitches to come with that figure?

      It's just usually what I charge for simple text stuff, plus they supplied the bags as well.
