I'm 75. Remember watching bonanza at family friends house when I was about ten. But this is the first time I've ever heard words to the music.

Makes sense that a theme song would gave lyrics it helps the song writer get residuals every time it's used on the show. Sane thing happened with the Star Trek theme... This I'd never heard before 👍

When I was a kid we related to the show. My father's name was Ben, one brother was Joe, another was Alan instead of Adam. I was considered to be more like Hoss because I was bigger than my 2 brothers.good memories ✌️❤️

BRISCOE: "They wuz GOOD!" BEA: "Well ya didn't say anything.: ANDY: "He Ate Four Bowls!" BRISCOE: "Eatin' speaks louder than words." BEA: "Well then, GREAT! I've heard the Bonanza theme sung many times, including in the first episode of Bonanza, and at the Ponderosa Ranch at Incline Village, Nevada... and those aren't the words! Thanks for uploading this, although it brings back frightful memories for me. I was in high school when I saw Billy and his band warm up the crowd for presidential candidate George Wallace's campaign rally in Laurel Maryland on May 15 1972. The band then played Under The Double Eagle as Wallace walked up to the podium. After his speech Wallace was shot by a would-be assassin, not far from where we were standing. My friend and I changed our plans to attend the other nearby presidential rallies that year.

I never knew the theme song had lyrics . They should have used the vocal version for rhe show.
