Just bit too late on the brakes there John it seems. Happens to us all. The funny thing is he shouted at you for not holding the brakes, but had you held them, the incident would have been a lot worse. I had to re-wind the video as I notice you'd got another 4x at the top of the screen, but wasn't sure how, but seems like the re-join from the car on the right was the cause.

very clean driving, easy mistakes to make don’t sweat it, other drivers get super locked in and butt hurt, we all want clean racing so never take the harsh words serious. well driven mate

You have my sympathy John. I did the SGN league race at Spa in the rain driving the Mercedes GT3 tonight and it was horrible. It also ended in the dark as well. Strange this race wasn't using the updated version of Spa.

That lap 1 was insane! Unlucky at the end there John, it may have been a different story if it was just 3rd and 4th, but you didn't stand a chance with the volume of cars that descended on you. Good result though, from 15th on the grid 👍🏻

Tough one John, but could have been worse on the SR, so maybe take that as a positive. The rain races are certainly not ones you want to jump into without a little practice. I'm sure you saw from my run, but taking a wide line in Eua Rouge was the best way to keep speed up. There were numerous "rivers" running across the track here which made getting traction very tricky, with one of the worst being the right hander onto the "back straight" (which you did find at one point).

That is an awesome track. They do need to bring it up to code but it is a great place to race.

Well that went better that I thought it would John. I've done Monza conbined with the oval before but never done just the oval. A pretty good result for you in the end though.

Oval in Monza? It is just a dream for us we live close to the track...

Unfortunate contact John as you were doing well. There was certainly a lot of carnage in this one.

I thought in the early stages you were going to waltz off into the distance . . . . and then Javier showed his hand. Certainly a quick driver, but very aggressive. Shame about your incident, just got that little bump on the kerb that unsettled the car and made you drift in front of the other car. Had it not have been for the wall on the right, you'd have got away with it a bit more.

WOW! Making that move stick in the final corner on Lap 7 was amazing, I honestly thought there was going to be contact as you were straightening up. Excellent recovery drive mate, I'm sure one of these weeks we'll get to have a battle in the MX5 👍🏻

Always commendable when you do the Green Hell and just jump in with minimal practice and still bring it home. Very well done. 👏👏

Laguna is one of my favorite tracks even if the races can be hit or miss, best finish here is 3rd starting from the back in the MX5's but also enjoying this weeks track, already managed a 4th.

That was a brave race to take on. Laguna is a bugger with the best racers but this was a buttkicker race!!

Not a bad result from last place to 10th. Laguna Seca has never been a good track for me but it is quite a fun track.

That was going pretty well. All it takes is a slight mistake and whammo it goes all wrong. I missed this race but might jump in the next week with more oval cars chosen.

Mental. Shame about the lap 3 incident I was on the edge of my chair for most of that lap.

If I was Adam I'd be really annoyed that a back marker got between you on the final lap to ruin the battle. Of course, I'm team John all day so it was great news for you, took off a little pressure 🤣

We've all had those finishes John where you really don't know if you got it or not with just millimetres in it. Didn't look the easiest of cars to drive, not sure if it's just the track or the car in general

Yeah, to me that was a racing incident. there's no obvious change of direction from either of you, although he could have left a bit more room, it's just unfortunate. Tough one that one, I've heard that the Cup car is a difficult car to drive. At least Fuji pretty much secured your SR for the rest of the season so although we don't like to see it, the 10x isn't as impactful here

yeah i found the g82 hard to drive at sebring as well, just seemed off. granted i was able to brake way later into corners. the amg was quite nimble around sebring for me.

4th Is also the best I've been able to manage at Laguna, can't get faster than high 1 min 39's so I can't complain for controller laps. New wheel ships in a few days, so will see how my lap times compare!

Well, it was fun while it lasted! Well driven there John, the car number curse you at least. Mark's a good driver in the Skippy, but I think also he had a bit of the "Home Advantage" here 🤣 2 positives for me to take from this one though. 1) I found a good 2 seconds of time just from practice to the race session, and 2) Because my mic source was wrong in OBS, we get to give it another go 👍🏻
