The Effects of Awe
The effects of awe go far beyond this video. In studies they found that awe makes us kinder, more willing to volunteer our help and more generous.
Awe increases people’s positive mood, decreases materialism and even gives the experience of having more time.
Seriously folks. Go looking for it.
Share in the comments what brings you awe to inspire the awe deprived among us.

Public Speaking Hack
Переглядів 1563 місяці тому
Ok, maybe not so long that you run out of air… but close. I’m sharing because I spoke to an old client yesterday who came to me for a session on his phobia for public speaking years ago. He now does this for a living and always opens with a “hey everybody, how’s it going…” and it immediately relaxes him. He no longer has to elongate his sentences because he has zero fear but the opening line ha...
Playing with Time
Переглядів 2554 місяці тому
The power of moving through time…and space. This is a simple form of using temporal language to bring an issue from the past to the present (a reaction you had...to as you’re feeling this now) This allows us to access the problem state, fire up the neural network of it so it becomes malleable. Then we shift into a touch of cognitive reframe to go from feeling to thinking. “Regret means you know...

Stopping clients from re telling their story
What a crock
13:45 I don't know how i feel on the subject of the woman she is talking about?
My hands did not move. Lots of fake statements that irritate me, like "as your unconscious explores...". How di you know it does? Fake ism. Muscles may get tired, wanting to relax so they want to move.
Found this channel through the hypnosis subreddit. Your videos are amazing! So many tips i will try to apply with my esl students to build rapport or build their confidence. I want to offer you some technical feedback: in certain recent vids you ask for comments, but the comment option is turned off, probably because the video has been categorized as "Made for kids"(when uploading, I guess)
Its like seeing from behind my right eye, seeing the whole picture but at the same time been aware of my shoulder area. I saw some one writing about seeing from upright like 2'o clock perception the whole time. Others could say its 10'o clock, it makes me wonder about Sun position over the Sky, since Light comes from above.
I feel comfortsble. Its funny because it does not feel broader or wider, instead, it feels focused, zoom in, like a contemplative state, seeing in 20/10 vision, capturing light nuances, contrast, even been in a tilted field of view.. It differs from what generally people talk about feeling good, as being extrovert like a drunk person.
Nice short.
Nice short.
what's everything that I'm not noticing that's not that... sounds like a dr seuss riddle - I love it💖
I definitely felt that embedded command about feeling more connection ❤
Awesome, so true. If we could think or insight our way out of unwanted patterns, we would all be sorted by now.
Are you walking your talk? You look tired and deflated.
Cant believe ur the same person from that 9 year old video damn time flies fast
Thank you Melissa! I give all of my clients a copy of “The Anti-Anxiety Toolkit” I need to learn how to buy it in bulk! 💛
Love this Melissa ❤
Hi. Newbie here looking at this as my next act of service in this life. This is completely different from what I do now but watching you and enrolling in your Free classes on your website has me hooked. You're a riot and can see how fun you can have in making this a career. Please don't ever change. You're a breath of fresh air. We need more real people like you out there who actually f'n cares enough about people. 😆💗
thanks for this human!! im experimenting on trial and erroring with this and add some whiskey [any type of whiskey with moderation of course HAHHA] + mix it with harm reduction + advanced game theory from my econ classes at undergrad LOL to checkmate my own bipolar manic patterns hahaha
and also adding insights from ur free masterclasses, free content with Simone!!!
Hi Melissa! ❤ Question. So when you go into a trance with the patient like this is it like you are repeating it back to them to help them not drift off of their goals while in trance or is it like an actual exchange between a receiver and a “loving and accepting caregiver figure” that they might have not had in their life, who empowers them to go on this path they’ve just paved? Or both? 🤔 Although, you kind of come through more like an angel rather than a caregiver. 🤭 And I have no idea why I felt that it was important to ask this question 🫣😬. Sorry 😅
I love how you answered your own question as you asked it. Both and more. And..I ain’t no angel.
@@melissatiers9952 we aren’t angels. But sometimes we do such things to each other. It’s beautiful when it happens 🙂.
@@melissatiers9952 Thank you for replying 😁
@@melissatiers9952 I’m starting to understand why I asked it. I know that if a practitioner brings in such energies (parent, angel etc) we run a higher risk of patient attachment in a way that we, as legal practitioners, consider “not healthy” and not ethical. But maybe it’s time we collectively start thinking how can we move humanity beyond that? Beyond attachments and towards embracing , in a healthy way, authentic beautiful energies whatever they are. We aren’t robots. Trying to become robots obviously didn’t work out for us very well.
thanks human!! i try to mix everything from simone's free masterclasses, billy's free content on youtube, david bedrick's unshaming and customize it and tailor it and add some healthy dose of japanese whiskey and korean alcohol to heal my past live traumas HAHAHAH
Quite the mash up!
@@melissatiers9952 HAHAHA thank you Melissa!! monetizing my shame into art project LOL
It's funny when I look back on the negative feeling, it feels loosened up a bit. I also tend to have a weird amnesia for "problems" I used to have after I've had a successful change.
The kind of forgetting we like :)
What date please? Sorry… just seeing this at 2am 7/31…? Thanks!
…just saw the “7mos” thing…
It’s available along with a bunch of other free classes on my site melissatiers.com. I have a pain relief class August 8th for $45. if you’re interested.

Hi Melissa, I was wondering if you were going to the UKHC in November 2024? 😊
I like your style. I decided to buy your book Keeping the brain in mind. I will model you with my clients. Thank you
Soooo interesting, Thank you 🙏
Hi Melissa, I just bought a few of your books and I know a lot of the books in the Bibliography are classics but I was wondering if you had any newer reading recommendations since technology and techniques are always evolving. Thanks! : )
Here are the key takeaways: Psychoeducation: Therapist explains to the client why interrupting is necessary. Telling the same story over and over with the same emotions reinforces those emotions and strengthens the negative story. Interrupting helps the client to rewrite their brain’s narrative. Humor: The therapist uses humor to help clients laugh at themselves and see their stories from a different perspective. Laughter can create a space for clients to integrate new learnings. Physical movement: Therapist may ask clients to stand up or lift their arms to interrupt their storytelling pattern and to integrate new information through kinesthetic learning.
Hi Melissa, looking great, sound advice love the 5 bite size vids. X
Thanks for sharing your insights Melissa. I love how you stretch my brain!
So nice. Thank you
Great tips, thank you for sharing these Melissa! 💗

Great thanks.
Thank U maam

Oh my god. The best comment ever. And also. F**k off.
Is this the hypnotic eqivalent of the "martial arts masters" with subjects who fly across the room when the "masters energy karate chop" is levied upon them? Like Steven Seagal sending scores of attackers flying with a flick of the wrist?
There are definitely similarities in that both work with belief, expectation and congruency. This one has the leverage of pattern interruption which makes the transition easier.
Just love this so happy to come back to hypnotherapy without the weird authoritarian style... Thank you Melissa you rock as always 🎉
Thanks! Down with the authority!
I love your work so much. I admire your intelligence, your style and your humour. ❤️
Ive read your book keeping the brain in mind chapter 7 is the best chapter ive read in my life, of any book, life changing ^.^ anyway i am reading" no bad parts " a book on ifc by phd shwartz ... ive heard you on other videos saying, you dont believe theres little people inside a machine pressing buttons and levers ..... how come? It seems very logical to me , everything i am reading ? Best of regards ^.^ i consider you my teacher
So is the client under hypnosis while she’s doing this?
Yes, she’s in trance.
