This quest remains one of the best ones of Fallout 3 because it shows you that despite your best intentions sometimes the best option is to make no choice at all and even if you try to please everyone it can turn out to be the worst of the options

man vanilla FO4 VR is unplayable for me... no interactive reloads, cluncky handling and it feels graphicly worse... 😢

Basically for people who don’t know, Cottonwood Cove is supposed to be like 10 times bigger than it really is ingame due to console limitations. Boone knowing that his wife and unborn daughter, we’re going to get sold into slavery with little to nothing he could do decided to take them out of their misery. Spotted hundreds of legionaries from different ranks he’s a good shot probably top three in the entire Mojave but he only has so much ammo and was completely by himself.

Recently played New vegas for the first time. First playthrough i made enemies with BOS. Second playthrough i did all their quests and discovered the same thing you did: they have the best stuff and its totally worth it

Didn't feel sympathetic to the ghouls tbh. The tower has limited space and the residents have gone through the trouble of refurbishing it and making it their home. The ghouls aren't entitled to live in someone else's home, simple as that.

I never helped the zombie in my play through because there was something unsavoury about him. Turns out he’s even more murderous and psychotic than burke and tenpenny

I like how every ghoul related quest the ghouls end up lying to the Lone Wonderer. Roy is honestly worse than Tenpenny because he proves why Ghouls are not allowed. Even if you convince people to let them in Roy still has everyone killed and feeds them to Ferals. Crowley is a similar story, using the oppressed sympathy card on the Wonderer to trick the Wonderer to murder innocent people. Even Bright from NV lies a lot to get you and Chris to help him get to the Great Beyond. To add insult to injury. Three Dog will paint you as horrible if you side with Tenpenny Tower but is perfectly fine with wiping out even innocent people in the Tower with Roy. The level of hypocrisy made me also hate Three Dog. Only one Ghoul in Roy's group is innocent. Meanwhile most of Tenpenny Tower are innocent. The trade off is ridiculous yet Three Dog apparently does not care. That being said. I often use this quest as a turning point for my goodie tooshoe character to get a REALITY check and no longer trust people and turn to a gray character that only helps because it helps the Wonderer. If not, maybe Reilly's rangers disppears because the Wonderer wants both Eugene and the Armor? Among other things. Could blow up the Citadel since they treated the Wonderer like trash outside of Sarah until AFTER Lee convinces them to trust us. ie most BOS don't actually care about helping people.

This quest is prime example and a good explanation to why diversity and multiculturalism doesn’t work in and any society.
