The Andy Griffith Show aired from 1960-1968. Columbo had one episode in the 60s, 1968's "Prescription: Murder." So, it could have happened, but the Lieutenant would have been very young!

Columbo episodes were feature-length in a movie-of-the-week format. That would be my preference.

Also, this would be nice to post your art and thoughts on this to a blog post, so it's easier to link to. Video isn't always the best way present these kinds of project, I think? You might be able to elaborate a bit more upon the idea there, maybe make another video if you get significant interest.

I agree on the supernatural element. I thought it was out of place when Robby the Robot showed up in "Mind Over Mayhem." I think it could work if kept to a minimum.

As far a significant interest, this is by far the most popular video I have ever made. My priority is to get this channel monetized, so the video is absolutely serving its purpose to get me views and engagement. I have several videos that show how I drew various things, and this video started out that way. It turned out that the research itself was fun enough that I wanted to share it. I'm sure you're right that a blog could also get engagement, but UA-cam is my platform of choice. I could see, conceivably, doing an animatic of a Columbo/Doctor Who story, but I think that is as far as I would take it. Since UA-cam is not (yet) a full-time job, it takes me forever to get a project done. I did my mock-up poster back around February and did not get to do this video until December.

Daleks in L.A.? I don't know what Mrs Columbo would say about that...

I've seen most episodes of Columbo multiple times. They get better every time I see them. I'd be curious to know what the Tom Baker documentary was; sounds very interesting. Thank you for sharing. You have nothing but my respect for being so frank with me. I want to be happy for the creatives who are able to make so much. I have to look at it at an angle that I can consider myself productive if it was mindful time spent, even if I don't have a product to show or if I don't get the chance as often. Thank you for saying I am refreshing and inspiring to you. I have to be self-accepting, because as corny as it might sound, it's what's on the inside that counts. There are always going to be externals that are out of our control. As far as a plan, I try to be flexible and not rigid. It's a lot of experimentation. I have to start somewhere. Thanks for your comment. I wasn't sure how this video would be received, so it is encouraging to see someone find it relatable! It's interesting to me that the first thing you mention is limiting ourselves rather than dividing our creativity. When I started exploring what I wanted to do with art earlier this year, I felt like I was shooting arrows in every direction. Since then, I've been pruning off things that don't work for me. I have to keep myself from grieving the loss of what might have been and move forward. Very sorry to hear about your chronic illnesses. I sincerely hope you are able to find a measure of relief. Spirituality and art fill that space for me. Maybe for you too? Regarding the music, I turned the music volume down to 2 or 3% for this video, and I think I turned my voice volume up near 175%. I put music in to lighten the mood, since I think my videos might hit a more serious tone otherwise. Your suggestion to switch the genre is definitely something for me to think about. I never want it to compete or distract from what I have to say. On the other hand, I'm hesitant to go too calm. The tracks on this video are Old School Hip-Hop. This is valuable feedback! I actually started out with 6 hours of footage that I edited and then sped up. Even after that, my daughter said she was losing her patience after a minute and a half of watching it. I was going back and forth about adding commentary, but I figured I was overthinking it. 😅
