So when my spring kit came, I had to shorten the trigger spring and the hammer spring inside diameter was too small... 😐 I'm fine with shorting the trigger spring as there was a warning about fitment. But disappointed that the hammer spring wasn't correct.. But after further review shortening the trigger spring makes it a higher spring rate..😐 so I can't say I'm very happy with the Wolf spring kit..

Nice. I bought mine when it first came out so I have the Taurus style sights. Sig 226 mags work well in it as well

Thanks for your post on the Taurus 856. I've had mine since Taurus first introduced it to the market. I'm carrying it today. For me, everything about the revolver as manufactured is great as is. There is nothing I feel is needed to improve the carry experience. This is one of many Taurus handguns I own.

Accuracy I can make consistent 50 yard shots no problem on a 8 x 12 target. Muzzle flip would be my only con with 2000 rounds Through it, no problem whatsoever. Thanks for the review. You’re one of the best I’ve ever listened to.

I prefer the Hogue grips as that backstrap digs into the hands and was painful when firing. Worse on the 605.

Bought one of these for home defense in 2013. Sits right next to my bed against the dresser. Cleaning was tricky because when I disassembled, a small piece fell out and I had to Google to find out where it went.

Thanks, My GX4XL was not on the recall list.. It was hard enough for me finding this pistol over a year and a half ago to have to send it back for the fix.

Please bear with my long comment. I hope this helps someone that may be snapping screw heads. When mounting your plate, make sure the pin that holds your extractor and spring in is at least flush or slightly below the slide surface. I put a Holosun SCS on my PDP and for some reason, I kept snapping the head off of one of my screws within just a few rounds. I couldn’t figure out why. I mounted it using the exact specs. Blue thread lock and 15 inch pounds. But they kept snapping. After 3 times of having the screw tapped, I mounted the optic again and noticed a VERY slight rocking. VERY slight. The extractor pin was ever so slightly above the slide surface. Almost undetectable. I tapped it in just a touch with a small punch and no more rocking of the optic and no more snapped screws! It’s far enough away from the mounting screws that the screws wouldn’t push it it back down, but put enough stress on the screws during reciprocation that it put pressure on the screw head and snapped them.

I use my g3 for asc and security

Good job of keeping it brief and covering what's relevant. Too many guys use lots of words which provide no information.

I was going to sell my gen 1 Shield 9mm because of the lack of positive grip I was getting and I wasn't fond of Talon sandpaper texture or the Pro grip they had, The shop was going to offer me 100 bucks in trade and I decided to keep it for a truck piece then I bought a set of Combat Textile grips and they changed the whole feel and look of the pistol. I like it even better than the 2.0 texture. The old Gen 1 is now back to my # 1 carry op. The shield 45 is on my list.

I'd like to know if I can put the G3 Tactical slide, barrel and recoil spring, into my regular G3 frame. That way I could still retain the thumb safety.

Swampfox II now also claims a maximum of 50K hours on medium brightness setting. The Liberty II has brightness Up and Down buttons on opposite sides of the optic. (Left and Right Sides.) The adjustment turrets also now have audible clicks.

My trigger is stock and like 2 lbs lol, specially 1.9. I guess the variance is wide, but everyone I know, knows the stock trigger is the last thing to get a replacement if any.

I have the PDP Pro 4.6 and I absolutely love the gun! The Holosun SCS will direct mount on the PDP and will allow for the factory sights to co-witness. I agree with you on the plastic sights but they are functional, they haven’t broken off (yet), and I don’t feel it’s all that big of a deal (higher quality sights would have been nice). The trigger on the PDP Pro MIGHT be the best out of the box trigger on any striker fired pistol in the 9mm space, it’s amazing. Great, fair, review!

It is meant to take Micro Red Dot Optics , how can the slide be a con when it is tooled for Micro Dots? As for the sights, come on why is your preference for a blacked out rear sight a con? nitpicking at best.
