I am surprised the art is is boring as it is. The marketing material made it clear this was supposed to be hand drawn but they definitely use 3D assets. I personally believe that Eric July is too ignorant to judge art, and that the artist ran away with the money.

I first saw the original when i was a kid and it scared the shit out of me, i too was fooled into thinking it was real but by the time i saw the remake i found it laughably tame😂😂😂

The way you describe it, this origin first story is a middle section of a story of characters we should already know but don’t.

You should drastically lower the volume to the 8 bit music. I found that shit incredibly distracting and annoying while trying to hear your review.

The thing I really don't get is what is pointing dude's level. He's blackmailed Jasmine (somehow) to (maybe) be a prostitute. And has a nightclub. So he's basically a just a pimp. And then he can infiltrate not-Tony Stark's building to threaten people and bribe his bodyguard to kill him. So he's closer to being the Kingpin? But then why does he give a damn about a single prostitute? It's like if the Kingpin started a feud with a superhero because they arrested the sketchy guy who sells weed to teens. It's way below him, except we don't know if he's actually high level. And same goes for Isom, who effs up completely a simple wellness check so badly his family is now in danger, abandons mission mid way, and then suddenly gets into a fight with interdimenaional invaders and does well. Comic is a mess.

isom is a badly written low quality copy of powerman, that eric self inserted so he could get back at all the nightclub bouncers, that didn't let him into the nightclubs when he was younger, he brags about the money, equating it to success, I remember when he and the fnt zeros all went after captain marvel for being a piss poor movie that made a billion dollars, well it was a piss poor movie, and the financial success had nothing to do with the quality, just like eric's comic book, but now money is the standard for success.

My favorite part of ISOM 2 is when the coomer bite uses magick blood from her fingers, just because that means Charlie Band is going to sue Eric next

I thought Isom was kind of an O.C. parade and it would have been better off as a self -contained graphic novel at that price point. As far as what you could do to improve your channel's look, you could always draw up a couple more stills of your avatar with different expressions and flip between those for a "barely animated" look. I hate to say it but I think EJ has a point. You put a lot of work into this post, but constant posting in short-attention-span-friendly clickbait bites builds an audience way better than perfectionism. ( I've had to learn that myself the hard way on different projects.)

Just thumbs upped the vid, but I need to read it first since this is mostly spoiler free lol

It would've been a better story if he added the action movie tropes and cliches as a running gag, that way it's an easier way to add funnier jokes in it similar to how Michael Jai White uses blacksploitation as a source of Black Dynamites comedy or how Mike Myers uses espionage as a source of Austin Powers comedy. Still, the best way for him to make a great comedy is to tell a funny story

I read it it’s awful and extremely hard read. It comes off as an old school first comics. You can tell Eric isn’t a great writer and the ideology of keeping politics out is dumb. This is an adult story add it just do it right. Eric should’ve gotten multiple indie writers and worked on creating a universe and planning things out. This screams someone who has no talent in writing. Not even being bad no foresight already has a plot hole how isn’t he recognized as famous if he was a hero who didn’t wear a mask? Why isn’t he in jail and etc. this is likely for the hype one of the worse things I’ve ever read. Darren doesn’t come off as a big threat throughout the story. It would’ve been better if Isom loses the fight and he’s forced to train to get back into his Hero shape. I could think of multiple better ways he could’ve done this
